  1. Actually this weekend might prove the opposite. It looks like the big name QB isn’t winning every game these days. We’ve already seen Ryan and Roethlisberger fall, possibly Beees. However, I also think that TT misses too many reads to lead his team anywhere. Foles, Bortles, and Keenum are nothing to brag about, but all have made plays when necessary. TT leaves dozens of plays on the field every game. TT also has the uncanny ability of melting in big time moments. For example, I just can’t see him winning a game at Heinz Field. We can cackle about Bortles all we want, but he made a few plays in big spots. He fails to show up when you need him most. That has been the one constant with TT. We can laugh at all the “bum QB’s” left in the playoffs, but they’ve done enough to win in big moments.
  2. Look at Yolo’s post regarding his stint in the NFL. Saban is a legendary college coach, coaching under him means nothing in the pros. Additionally, plenty of BB assistants haven’t been success stories after leaving the Pats.
  3. I’m sure that those five Super Bowl say very little about the type of OC Daboll will be one way or the other. I’m not a fan of this hire. I just don’t see him as someone who is very innovative.
  4. Too bad they no longer have an eye for defensive talent.
  5. He also has more than 39 catches this season.
  6. That’s just his playoff face. Usually Belichick is on the other side.
  7. They are definitely second to none. With better coaching the Steelers would be unbeatable. A defense would help a bit as well.
  8. True, but it certainly helps open up the screen game when you have Roethlisberger with explosive WR’s on the outside.
  9. He’s probably our second best option after Shady. I forgot about him.
  10. Fair enough, but none of those guys are as explosive as players like Bell, Brown, Shuster, and Bryant. Our guys like Zay, Thompson, and Matthews aren’t going strike fear into the defense on screen plays.
  11. Agreed, but other than Shady, who do you throw the screens to?
  12. What was that celebration all about? Looked sort of strange.
  13. This would have been the real story of that potential matchup.
  14. I think we would have played the Pats tougher than the Titans.
  15. All we ever hear about is the short passing game these days. Being able to throw the ball deep is still huge. It has too many advantages to be stuck with an offense who can’t push the ball downfield. Even simple pass inference calls on deep balls can alter the outcome of a game. Our offense robs ourselves of those opportunities.
  16. Ok, I’ll turn it off immediately. Thanks for the advice.
  17. Refs have to make the Roethlisberger-Brady matchup happen.
  18. Not sure who’d want that job anyway. He lucked out ending up in Jacksonville paired with Coughlin.
  19. These definitely aren’t the Steelers of the past. They are solely an offensive oriented team.
  20. It’s hard to believe Tomlin has a title. He gets out coached in so many big games.
  21. I think this more about the Steelers weak defense, and a poor matchup for their offense.
  22. This is why refs should be full time. Guys who are employed by big time corporations and law firms have too many affiliations. It just gives a bad look, even if there is no real bias occurring.
  23. Nice play calling by the Eagles on this drive. This is how you do it with questionable QB play. I won’t miss Dennison whatsoever.
