  1. Keep the ball in the GOAT’s hands imo. Dumb play call by McDaniels.
  2. Didn’t Brady always school Schwartz? The Schwartz D scheme versus Brady has concerned me all week.
  3. I’m a huge Doug Peterson fan, but I wish they would have thrown on the first and goal before the false start. The Pats D was on their heels, and they gave them a breather with the Blount run.
  4. Dancing I wished I never witnessed at that. Nothing like the combination of old man dancing with suburban housewife dancing.
  5. Sure, but he still misses games due to injury more frequently each season than Brady. Playing QB well into ones 40’s is a rare feat. I choose to doubt Rodgers ability to do so until proven wrong. Rodgers simply seems more physically mortal when considering games missed each season. Brady started every game from 2009-2015, prior to the 2016 suspension. Rodgers has no such streak. Farve played until he was 41, but was known as the ultimate “iron man”. Rodgers can’t be referred to as an “iron man”.
  6. Honestly, we all know that the Pats just do a better job hiding Brady’s injuries. With that said, Rodgers seems to miss a few games every season. Brady is on the field every week, with the exception of the 08 season. He simply seems to be holding up better. Rodgers won’t be playing past 40 imo.
  7. This could have been remotely possible, had the Pats not traded away Jimmy G.
  8. Yep, there’s always the chance of the Pats losing. That possibility is far more exciting than a game like the Chargers and 49ers in 94.
  9. At least if TT comes back I’ll know when to take a bathroom break at the stadium. I’d have no desire to watch the offense whatsoever.
  10. Murph seems to hate everyone who’s not currently on the Bills roster.
  11. I agree, but I suppose that no one has ever mistaken Wood for an intellectual.
  12. Changing the catch rule would certainly require a “high level business meeting”, so yes I am.
  13. I always wished that Fitz could have actually used his brain more on the football field. Everyone knows that he is physically limited, except for himself when he’s on the field. If Fitz could have learned what he is physically capable of, he might have been a really good QB. Instead, he often forces the ball into places that his arm strength doesn’t allow. Far too often this occurred during crucial moments in the game. If he knew his limitations, and had better situational awareness he’d be a better QB.
  14. My meaning is that Wood is a mascot like figure to many fans. He has a larger than life goofy image with his big hair and everything. He’s been a fan favorite since he’s been here. People have gravitated towards his Andy Griffith like persona. This has caused the majority of this board to overrate his play based on their personal like of him. With that said, I wish him all the best. His injury was a very unfortunate end to his career.
  15. I do, without Waffle our D linemen are going to get pancaked on a regular basis.
  16. Fair enough, pardon my hyperbolic reaction. I’m confident in placing him as a middle of the pack center though. He’s just not at the level many see him as being. He had a few really good seasons, but there has been a decline.
  17. I completely understand you point. I agree that calling it a bad contract after the injury is unfair, but I don’t think it’s unfair to criticize the extension based on his play. We have needed an upgrade at that position for a while. The contract made it seem as if that wasn’t part of the plan.
  18. Wood was a bottom tier center, but many here will never believe that. He became a figure who was almost like an on field mascot. His play did not warrant a contract extension.
  19. I’m not a huge fan. He struggles with blocking, and doesn’t have the speed that today’s great tight ends possess. He could be a soild player, but I don’t see him as a difference maker. We already have O’Leary who I believe is similar to what Gesicki projects to as a pro. He’d definitely be a fan favorite in Buffalo though.
  20. I could make the arguement that we needed an upgrade at that position. Giving Wood an extension was a poor choice simply based on that. Kudos to Wood for all he did in this community and organization. He will be missed, but I’m not certain that Wood was much more than a McD “locker room guy”. The injury was likely unforeseen, but the quality of play speaks for itself. Wood isn’t a guy I would have offered an extension to begin with.
  21. Anytime the Pats lose it’s cause for celebration. With that said, I know far too many Giants fans to be willing to thank them for anything. Many of them are friends, but they can be quite obnoxious about their team.
