  1. I agree, but we can’t choose guys based on who wants to be here imo. We’d be picking from the bottom of the barrel regularly. They’ll all be fine with it once they arrive. Kelly didn’t want to come here in the beginning either.
  2. Because QB is the most important position in sports, and some of us believe that Darnold, Mayfield, and Rosen are leaps and bounds above Jackson and Allen. Anything less gives us Losman, Manuel flashbacks.
  3. I wouldn’t like that idea, but it seems possible. With that said, they would have had to keep it secret from McCarron. He wouldn’t have signed here if Foles were a possibility. Take Jackson or Allen and Beane will be looking for new employment in three years.
  4. There are no “poker faces” when it comes to needing a franchise QB. It’s just something that you have to attempt to find. GM’s get fired for not finding a QB who wins.
  5. Tyrod, Watkins, Glenn, Darby just to name a few. I thought the point of that capital would be to draft the QB of their choice .
  6. Yes we are, but it looks like at 12. Once again, the Bills might fail to make the move necessary for a top QB. Very reminiscent of Losman and Manuel. I’m just very skeptical now. We had more to offer the Colts than the Jets did. It looks like Beane might really be staying at 12. It would be a big mistake imo. You don’t trade away half your franchise to stay at number 12, hoping someone falls to you. Cordy Glenn is a talent lineman, they don’t come around everyday. In my opinion, you better end up with a top QB when you mortgaged the present for a better future. No, you still need a franchise QB . Those next five picks aren’t going to win a Super Bowl with McCarron under center.
  7. Yep, and if we stay at 12, not getting a franchise QB will be the end of the Beane regime.
  8. I used to preach this narrative on the board myself. It’s easy for me to relate to this sentiment. However, I’ve completely changed my mind on this topic. As population numbers of the country continue to shift, the days of the western PA QB are over. The majority of QB prospects hail from much warmer areas than the northeast in December and January. Mayfield grew up in Texas, and the Big 12 in the fall is much different than Orchard Park in the fall. Maybe, if you said you’re afraid SoCal guys, I might understand. It’s more of a personality concern than a climate climate concern though.
  9. Fair enough. I just don’t understand the narrative that Rosen didn’t have to fight for everything. The guys lining up across from him didn’t him a break because he was privileged.
  10. How did Rosen not have to fight to become the QB he is today? Rosen might have rich parents, but it’s not like you get handed anything on the football field. He had to work just as hard as Mayfield to become a highly rated NFL prospect.
  11. We are definitely beating the Pats at the offseason. It feels good to beat them at something. On a series note, it seems as if the Pats are finally losing some ground. It’s a great feeling to know that we’d be the first in line to dethrone them.
  12. Peterman’s lack of arm strength will be what ruins his career. It won’t be the game in San Diego imo. The aforementioned lack of arm strength was the cause of those interceptions. We witnessed it again when he replaced an injured TT in Jax to throw a game ending pick. Once again, it was picked off due to lack of arm strength. For the sake of full disclosure, I was an advocate of Peterman heading into this past season. I’m no longer convinced that he has an NFL caliber arm whatsoever.
  13. Prototypical NFL QB who doesn’t accross as a dbag (Rosen, Mayfield), it’s not to difficult to figure out. With that said, NFL teams are wrong quite a bit.
  14. Your description of Rosen sounds like most young NFL players.
  15. When it’s actually funny. Posts proposing Aaron Rodgers trades and the like are just stupid. They are a complete waste of forum space, and it’s not just new posers who are guilty of these lame jokes.
  16. There are a lot of longtime posters who constantly post “joke” threads that contribute absolutely nothing to this community.
  17. Is Nelson really that good? Or is he just a solid receiver who is a product of Rodgers? I’m not sure how much he could contribute here.
  18. You’ll still hear. If Hill and Kelce produce at their normal levels, Sammy will be credited as the reason for their success.
  19. First successful one that he throws to Sammy, this board will have a meltdown discussing what could have been.
  20. I’m thinking that the Rams need to actually want you before you can choose to stay with them.
  21. That really depends on whether Mahomes is a success or a bust imo. Why would a hot girl go to KC? ?
  22. Perfect spot. He and Andy Reid can underachieve together.
