Browns will be better than....
DriveFor1Outta5 replied to Dadonkadonk's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It seems that many are underestimating this loss. I don’t even think that the signing of Landry outweighs the loss of Thomas. The Browns lost a guy who was their leader, and a HOF caliber player. -

Yes, regardless of the overall talent the Browns possess, this remains a major question mark. TT seems like a good dude, but he doesn’t provide leadership. He’ll still run the playclock down to zero with his team trailing by two scores late in the game, and Landry is likely to throw a few temper tantrums this season. Keep in mind, this is all being overseen seen by a head coach who hasn’t shown the ability to do anything in this league. -

Plus, where is the leadership on this Browns team? This team appears to lack any form of leadership. Leadership is a common denominator shared by most successful teams. That void isn’t going to be filled by TT or Jarvis Landry. -

My thoughts exactly. Can any of us envision TT winning a shootout with Big Ben? TT is also a former Raven, so expect them to have his number. Jarvis Landry is a possession receiver who isn’t going to make a ton of huge plays, and TT is still TT. I’m not sure how much has changed to make people think this 0-16 team is 9 win team. if that’s the case, TT ranks up there with the elite. Btw, Joe Thomas also retired, and Jackson is crap as a head coach. -
John O'Korn: "I'm the most NFL Ready QB"

He also cried after losing to OSU because the entire planet blamed him for loss. You’d think he’d be ready move on to something he’s actually good at, rather than making self assured comments regarding his football knowledge. -
Breaking: no charges against Zay

So I guess we are translating people saying he will be fine to meaning he went on a bad trip? (which is what many of us assumed from the start). That is why we made jokes about it. -

Sorry apparently, “a little while” meant one day ? I just made the assumption that we already knew he survived, and he wasn’t in life threatening medical condition. We still don’t know if he’s “alright”, the dude is either seriously mental ill, or he had a bad trip which was my belief. I thought that people were being righteous because they actually worried what this means for his future. We still haven’t a clue what the future holds for him following this incident. Some of us use humor to deal with everything, if that’s not your style that’s cool too. -

Didn’t you call people out for joking about the situation in previous posts? -
wtf are these players taking
DriveFor1Outta5 replied to bufrock j's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Absolutely, but it’s hysteria to insinuate that people jumping out of windows is typical. No one will ever say that beer does the same. All bets are off with any substance when someone is already mentally off. -

Sounds like we have a plot for a remake of Reefer Madness. -
Rosen’s family are also the heirs to some pretty decent fortunes, but I still never understood the Rosen doesn’t need the NFL theory. NFL starting QB contracts are a nice deal, and if the dude has any drive at all it would feel good to actually earn his own money. Most NFL QB’s come from decent financially soild backgrounds. Many of these guys would have options outside of football. They might not come from the wealth of Rosen, but none of these guys “need” football to have a decent upper middle class life. The NFL just takes it to a different level.

Yes, who really knows? I’ve gone made out of my way to wish Zay all the best. However, everything about this points to nasty drugs, and that would be a poor decision for a multi millionaire to make. It’s a bit strange that his “mental illness” would finally manifest itself at 11:30pm in Los Angeles California during the off-season.

Only post if you want to wish zay the best. Get well.

Best of luck to Zay, and hopefully he can leave this incident behind him. -
Are we ever going to really find out happened? I’m not sure that any of this information is required to be released. It’s not as if he was arrested for the possession of drugs. His people could simply deny any drug use, and blame mental illness, whether or not that’s the case .
-
I feel dumber after watching that. Thanks ?
-
Ha. Sammy, Zay, and the original Stevie Johnson. The Bills are going to hell.
-
No one knows what happened, you are correct. Most of us are assuming drugs. It is quite the coincidence that a mental breakdown surfaced in unison with a night at a hotel in LA. We are all talking out of our rears because it’s forum, that’s what we do. Zay has bigger things to worry about than what us clowns have to say, and most of us do wish him all the best.
-
Who doesn’t take their clothes before fighting their brother? Sounds normal to me.
-
Exactly, looks like a rat smells like a rat.
-
True, there is a big difference between being an addict, and being a guy who made a dumb decision. I knew a few guys who went on similar bad trips while I was in college. Some were arrested, while others were not. Most of them learned not to try the bad stuff anymore. Obviously, none of them were public figures to the extent of Zay, and they didn’t risk losing their careers at the time. In reality Zay either needs help, or he just needs to be more intelligent, and become mature in a hurry.
-
Yes, but in reality none of us know if he’s “battling” anything. If so, I wish him the best. Many people in their early 20’s are also known to make bad choices. All it takes is the occasional use of certain substances, and this can happen. I’ve seen and heard plenty of these stories. Zay is either struggling with some personal demons, or simply made a very idiotic decision. Either way, I wish him the best.

Yes, but I don’t see how this changes anything. Dude seemed high every game anyways.
