  1. Coughlin is very logical, but he's not coming here. He wants to stay close to family in Jersey. That's the reason he only interviewed with Philly after parting with the Giants. He has no interest in coming to Buffalo. Never has and never will.
  2. Yeah I'm not impressed with a guy who didn't do much with Rivers as his QB. Now he's as much the OC in Philly as Thurman is the DC here.
  3. I realize that, just saying we can't hold HGH against them whatsoever. Only the eavesdropping, and other covert intel.
  4. I'm very much anti Patriot, but we're all fooling ourselves if we don't think HGH use is rampant throughout the league on all teams.
  5. It's amazing as a younger fan how difficult it really is to come up with a favorite moment. I'll spend some time to think about it today. Not being able to remember any playoff successes make it a major challenge to pick a standout moment.
  6. Yeah, that loss epitomizes the last 16 years of futility. Losing to the Cowboys made it all the more brutal. I remember having to face all the Cowboy fans who got another chance to make fun of our futility. All the obnoxious Western NY Cowboy fans were silenced for most of the game, and we still gave it away. In reality the Boys played terrible, and shouldn't have won. It was just another example of us being a laughingstock in front of a national audience. The atmosphere for that game was amazing though. The ending just tainted it all for me.
  7. I don't remember Peeless fumbling. I thought Edwards threw a horrible pick on a stupid play call. If anyone else recalls please post. I remember how exciting that game was. Personally I found it to be one of my worst moments as a fan. That loss was brutal.
  8. Yes it is. Who would have ever thought that Czar and Kizer would be the two most popular words on TBD. I don't know if we got a czar we could have a Kizer too, and both coexist.
  9. Prevent/Soft coverage scheme defenses= Garbage time. That's what you face when you're down two scores with three minutes left.
  10. If we did bench Taylor I'm hoping that we would give Jones a chance to see what he can do. Brining out Manuel would result in the same W-L record we'd have with Taylor, and we wouldn't learn anything new. We already know that the guy can't even pull off a QB sneak. I never want to see EJ on the field again.
  11. True no one has a Gronk, but my point is that you need elite players who play like elite players. Every contender has this in common. Von Miller almost singlehanded led his team to a championship. I don't really think Hughes is close to being in the same category. Hughes is our best defense player at the moment, but he's not quite a dominant superstar.
  12. Deciding who's better between Taylor and Manuel is really splitting hairs. Neither one is very good for different reasons. The one thing that makes Taylor an improvement over Manuel is the fact that Manuel turns the ball over likes it's going out of style. This is a very bad week for me to hear anyone praise EJ. The guy can't even execute a QB sneak without fumbling the ball. He's a train wreck.
  13. I am not a Rex fan, so I believe coaching is a major problem as much as anyone else. With that said, I tend to agree that most NFL teams don't have much depth. However, you also need your big time player makers/talent to actually make plays. That's something that isn't happening here. It could be coaches, or it could be the fact that our elite talent isn't as good as other teams elite talent. Dareus is sitting at home or rehab, I don't believe Sammy has ever been 100% since being with this team, and other guys who are considered talented are not consistently showing it. In reality that means we don't have the amount of talent that some other teams do. We certainly have no one like Von Miller or Gronk. You need a guy like that on your roster to be a winning franchise. Defensively our talent across the board is actually quite low imo. It's really hard to win when your defense can't cover anyone ex. Our safeties in particular are awful. You mention the importance of a QB. Of course they are important, but just ask Luck or Brees how it is playing on a team lacking defensive talent.
  14. I don't see that kind of competitive fire from these guys. That's one of the many problems we have. I find it hard to believe that they even are pissed. I think this board is probably more pissed than most of the players.
  15. I love everyone mentioning Montana and Theisman because I incited I would stay away from ND players. Montana played about 40 years ago when ND was a legit national powerhouse. Notre Dame is not a real power anymore. Imo this plays a role in how I judge Kizer. I'm far more impressed with Kelly defeating Bama then anything Kizer has done. Don't count me as impressed when Kizer dominates BC, Navy, and Nevada. This week against Michigan State will be one of his few real tests.
  16. No. not at all. I just don't see Kizer as being a franchise QB. I just believe that ND's constant exposure (every game on NBC) results in players gaining tremendous amounts of publicity. This results in them constantly being overrated by fans, media, and even scouts alike. I remember Kiper giving Manti Teo a first round grade. People see these guys all the time, and are more likely to remember their highlights. I'll take what Chad Kelly did against Bama any day over Kizer stomping all over Nevada,BYU, and Boston College. It makes me weary of Kizer.
  17. Nothing scares me away from a QB prospect more than the spread offense. I just can't believe how many people haven't learned this yet.
  18. If that is really what the organizations thinks it would be a sad indictment of extreme ineptitude. I personally don't believe TT has what it takes to be a franchise QB. However, he was given a new contract albeit one with opt outs for the team. If two games really has convinced them that he is not the future after extending him, the front office has no clue. You just can't go from thinking he could be the future during the offseason to two bad games convincing you he's garbage.
  19. The original quarterback named Kelly didn't start out with much maturity either. A lot of great QBs are douchbags as well. I can think of too many to list.
  20. Chad Kelly shredded the Alabama D as well. If that's how we are going to judge prospects to be fair then we'd have to hold Kelly in high regard as well.
  21. Thanks. The links to the Karlos Williams tweets are priceless. He's giving thumbs up to people who are saying he would have gotten a first down on the forth down attempt. He also retweeted a writer who called him a missing piece. I also enjoyed Pegulas daughter's tweets to him as well. Apparently he "threw shade at her". You certainly wouldn't think he was the guy who smoked his own career away. Does this team seek out the lowest IQ's possible? And then posters can't figure out why all we do is lose. Unreal
  22. That's exactly how I feel, but every year we need a QB so people become overzealous. I still believe we wouldn't be any better with these guys than we are with Tyrod. Now in week two everyone is on a Kizer roll.
  23. I completely understand why you posed the question. I just couldn't help but to make the point that so many Bills fans are ND fans. This will naturally result in tons of Kizer love. Personally I don't like any of the QBs this year. Kizer is ranked as the top QB right now, I get that. However, a lot can change by the end of the season as well.
