Rex has never had a QB. That wouldn't be the "Rex" if he had Rodgers. Of course that's the game plan when you've had Sanchez,Smith, and Taylor.

He sucks. We can't win too many games in the NFL counting on the running game for almost all the offensive output. I'm happy we won, but TT did nothing to ease my concerns about him. I don't get the feeling our final record will be any better than I thought before. Tyrod defenders coming out of the woodwork make no sense. He was essentially a running back under center today. He did nothing as far as being a QB.

How do you know that's all the Manning's have ever done wrong? Because the media says they are choir boys? Chad just acts like a punk kid of the modern generation. Jim Kelly, Dan Marino, and Elway probably all acted like punks of their generation. QBs can be arrogant spoiled brats. I'm just not concerned about his off field stuff when basically it all revolves around being a Dbag. I'd like to know what people who went to high school/college with hall of fame QBs would have to say about how kind guys they all were. Manziel didn't have the talent. With social media these days we all got to see the other stuff play out. Don't try to tell me Jim Kelly didn't do some serious partying.

I guess we'll see. That's the fun with evaluating QBs. One guys Brett Favre is anothers Ryan Leaf. I don't worry much about the off field stuff. Peyton put his junk in someone's face, and Eli got arrested for public intoxication. They went on to become golden boys, and the media blows it off as college age mistakes. Maybe Chad's stuff were just college age "mistakes". Not too many of these guys are angels off the field. It just depends what we hear about.

The only reason to have a kickoff specialist is to have a guy with a stronger leg. Touchback rule changes have made that obsolete. You can find anyone to kick it to the five yard line. Hang time specialist is not something I'm willing to lend credence to. If Carp has no hang time, replace with him with a place kicker who makes extra points and does. Kickoff specialist is incredibly stupid.

Dareus back will be nice, but we did get pressure in the first half with blitz packages. Now Rex is being a coward and is slowly giving the game away.

Palmer was confused in the first half with all the different blitz looks, so naturally Rex decides to stop them.

A boneheaded play is far more damaging/demoralizing than missing what would be a spectacular diving interception. None of the other things you mention need to occur if Hughes isn't a bonehead.
