  1. I don't follow. "Cam's been a top 10 QB his entire career, but you're not ready to put him in the top 10 yet" ?
  2. I'm pretty sure most of the people doing heavy drinking tailgating could stop drinking the entire game and still shouldn't be driving themselves home. Drinks are cut off after halftime anyway. I just don't see it being the same as getting started early in the morning. There's only so much that even these types are going to be able to drink over the course of two quarters.
  3. Well said, you articulated a point I've been trying to make but was unable to do it as well as you. That's one of the main reasons this video made me cringe so much. We've been given the right to party, and certain people are doing their best to get it taken away for all of us.
  4. Maybe but people would be paying more for drinks while being stuck inside a bar or restaurant. Without beer funnels, tables to jump on, and butts to drink out of, I don't think people would be inspired to drink as much.
  5. I know, the Pats* must be defeated. I know it's too soon but this weekend I began to have Cowboys vs Pats* Super Bowl nightmares.
  6. This ^ It always frustrated me greatly. Some of the worst decisions I've ever seen a QB make have come from Fitz. I'll never forget a few games where we were up by 10 or so late in the game and he'd continue to force passes. As a guy who isn't physically gifted he can't afford mental lapses like that. Plus you'd think the guy from Harvard would be able to make good decisions. The book on him has always been "a smart QB with limited physical ability". I saw the limited physical abilities, but never consistently saw the "smart" play that so many applauded him for.
  7. Like never taking a real hit due to the refs preferential treatment? Or are we talking about all the pseudo science nutrition bs he tries to make us believe?
  8. But we're supposed to love him because he tried hard. It probably just looks like he tries so hard because his arm is so weak everything looks difficult.
  9. Everytime I hear Murphs play by play I miss Van Miller even more.
  10. A new downtown stadium changes everything. Private lots with plenty of room to tailgate would become a thing of the past. I thought it was common knowledge that we had the most raging tailgates in the league. This has been used as an argument against a new stadium by many posters.
  11. Great point, and I think incidents like these will only further encourage the NFL to pressure us into building a new stadium.
  12. Fair enough. I just get kind of annoyed that Bills games have turned into "Animal House". Sure "kids will be kids" but there's a time and place. Places like frat houses, spring break, corn fields, parents homes etc. Tailgating is great for enjoying beer and food, but the other antics in public potentially in front of people of all ages seems to cross the line. I'm not saying the have the "right", but the way the world realistically operates they have the means and power to do so.
  13. The culprit of the video that embarrassed the organization, even though it happened in their lot. Yeah exactly the type of environment I want to walk through with my kids or grandparents. It's a football game, it's not supposed to be a seedy bar at 2 in the morning. I'm not saying violence is better but it takes two to fight. Some people don't want to see this crap in the parking lot at a game.
  14. Yeah but we live in a culture where public lewdness is basically frowned upon more than violence. Lewd behavior always gets more attention than someone getting beat up.
  15. Well I mean it is the culprit, and when people post themselves doing stupid stuff it gives the team and community a bad name. Therefore the logical solution to the problem is to do something about alcohol consumption. Mark my words that at some point in the future laws will be passed along the lines of requiring a liquor license if you are going to charge for parking and allow paying patrons to drink on your property. AllI mean is that it's a classic case of people like these idiots eventually ruining it for everyone.
  16. Yeah but if this stuff continues the culprit of alcohol will be blamed. Major crackdowns (pun intended) will start to happen. Killing the fun for all the responsible drinkers. I wouldn't be shocked at all if the patrolling of private lots happens eventually.
  17. Exactly what I feared. Morons take it too far which eventually leads to the fun being taken out of it for everyone.
  18. I agree. All we really need is for these guys to just make a couple plays each week. If that happens we should be in good shape. We are a run first offense that doesn't need nor will have a receiver putting up big numbers. With that said, Goodwin does seem completely incapable of consistently making plays every game. Hopefully, Hunter can give us something to make up for Goodwin's lack of consistency.
  19. That gave me a laugh. On a serious note I'd like to know the average age for fans at New Era Field compared to other NFL stadiums. Our fans have a reputation for acting like dumb frat boys, but that's what the majority of them seem to really be. I remember going to games as a kid in the 90's, and there didn't seem to be so many college aged people. Now they seem to be the majority. Just curious if anyone else notices this, or if I'mnot remembering correctly?
  20. I don't think there is a "problem". This is a running team. Just because TT throws a couple TD passes doesn't change that. No question having Sammy will only make us better, but I don't think he's as big a loss in this offense as he would be in most others. We are run first to a point that I haven't seen in the NFL for a long time. Perhaps since Rex's Jets teams. Nothing wrong with that blueprint, I'd take a conference championship game appearance. I just don't expect Sammy to light it up when he comes back. His stat line will probably look much like the ones you posted above. This offense isn't set up for a receiver to put up big numbers.
  21. Goodwin has no other talents beside catching deep balls either. All the defense has to do is add help over the top on him to take him away. He seems incapable of running quality short routes. As cliche as it is, he plays like a track star pretending to be reciever. He doesn't know how to play the position. Sammy is a deep threat because you have to respect him as an underneath receiver. This allows him to occasionally get behind the defense. Every defense knows exactly what Goodwin is going to do. The only time Goodwin can beat a defense is when they scheme poorly, or blow a coverage.
  22. I don't think it's unfair to assume this guy isn't a history buff. I've been to Bills tailgates before. Generally these are the meatheads doing this stuff. Thought that was more factual than judgmental. The stupidity is crazy. I don't really care what people do. I just wish people would be a little more discreet about stuff as well. It's guys like this that ruin the fun for everyone. This is the crap that gives Bills fans a bad name, and draws attention to the idea of "cleaning up" the parking lots.
  23. I'm someone who likes TT, but we are a running team. There is no denying that fact. We don't have a consistent passing game. TT has been able to do enough as an athlete to help us win. I have no problems with that, but I agree with posters who say our WR corp doesn't matter all that much in this offense. Just because an offense hits a couple of long passes it doesn't make them, or their QB a passing offense. Every long pass we connect on is a result of the success we have in the running game anyway. If we were a passing offense we would be missing Sammy much more than we are. The lack of Sammy almost doesn't make a difference in this offense. He will never have stat lines like 8 catches and 150 yards. I hope we continue to win. If we do it's all good. At the same time it wouldn't shock me if a guy like Sammy tries to get himself out of here. No reciever will or would ever put up big numbers in this offense with TT.
  24. As far as being someone's daughter, imo only in Buffalo would someone's daughter even get within 100 yards of some of these winners at Bills tailgates. I doubt he even knows who the first US president is, so social studies teacher is unlikely. Lastly I'm quite sure camera phones are exactly the reason they do this stuff. This video might be the pinnacle of this guys life.
