  1. Why would the TT never use him theory apply to running backs? You lost me right there.
  2. I personally never said that he sucks. I said that he's average, and wouldn't make us a better football team. Many others have shared the same sentiment.
  3. I understand what you've said but in fact I actually don't think we would have been better with Hogan. When all the receivers were injuired I don't think Hogan as our number one would have been a great spot to be in. He doesn't have to be a number one in NE. It's just my opinion, much like you have an opinion.
  4. TT couldn't use Jerry Rice but everyone is entitled to their own opinion. We have open guys running all over the field. TT never sees them. Why does it matter if Hogan is running open? It stings to see him do things in NE more than anything, but he'd just be running around Buffalo wide open.
  5. I guess he wouldn't be a bad fit. He'd be a decent backup in Denver. If forced into action I could see him being able to lead Denver to a similar record as Siemien. TT is not a good QB, but you don't need to be a good QB to succeed right now in Denver. This is the opposite as Buffalo where Rex destroyed our D. Kind of what I was thinking.
  6. I was replying to the assertion that a "good receiver can help a struggling QB more than he can a HOF QB". I remarked on the point that Hogan would be more helpful here than he is in NE. I disagreed saying that under that premise Sammy must be awful, since he hasn't helped TT. If you think Hogan could have been more helpful it means you must think Hogan is a better receiver than Sammy. That's just not true. Sammy has been injured, but his presence hasn't helped much since he's been back. TT is still lost. It's crazy to think Hogan would change that.
  7. I will find you those receivers if you find us a QB. I'm not sure of anyway else to put up those numbers.
  8. I get your points, but for someone with as much QB knowledge as Elway I just don't see it. The book was unwritten on TT while he was the backup for Baltimore. Now TT has plenty of less than flattering game film. It shows him as a one dimensional run first QB who needs the offense tailored to his strengths. I don't think he'd be awful as a backup. There aren't many good backups out there. I did forget that the Broncos did go after him to back up Manning. So I suppose there probably is a good chance. I don't think I'd make much sense though.
  9. The Jets and Browns always show a lot of incompetency, so I'd go with those two as possible destinations.
  10. I understand your points. I can see your prospective if I look at it from the point of us relying on Goodwin and Listenbee. It's not so much that we needed Hogan, but we needed better than what we have. Listenbee and Goodwin are "Al Davis" type receivers. They are guys with speed who have little else to offer. They are not well rounded receivers that anyone should have counted on.
  11. I can't see Elway being a TT fan. I highly doubt he'd sign him.
  12. If that's the case it means Sammy isn't very good. I haven't seen his existence help TT much.
  13. Fair enough, but ultimately I guess the conversation is whether we should miss Hogan. I still say we shouldn't. As you mentioned the Pats offense is very complex. Bring in someone you understands it, and they will look good. Our offense isn't as complex, and being able to understand the offense as a receiver in Buffalo isn't going to do as much to help. A guy like Hogan can look legitimate (remember he has 27 catches this year, so it's nothing amazing) because knowledge of the offense can help so much in New England. The system the Pats run allows guys who understand the offense to excel, even if they lack the physical attributes needed to put up big numbers in most other offenses. Ps I don't think Edelman would be much of a player somewhere else either. Welker didn't even achieve much with Manning in Denver after moving on from Brady.
  14. That's funny. The scary thing is that our FO probably would have loved it, and signed him citing his "mobility".
  15. With the exception of Johnson and Jackson who were complete duds, those other guys stats were as good or better than Hogan's with the Pats.
  16. Great post. Hogan not being here didn't cost us the playoffs. So why should we care about Hogan being gone? We shouldn't. I never knew Hogan was such a hero.
  17. He's average. No better than Woods. I guess the receivers are responsible for who Brady is then. I suppose David Givens created Brady.
  18. Hogan has 27 receptions this year playing with Brady. Imagine what he'd have here. He'd be a non factor. I agree with those who made that point. Woods would probably be great with Brady.
  19. The guy has 27 receptions and three tds. He plays with the goat. Fanboys need to calm down. He wouldn't have made us any better.
  20. Fair enough, but I was referencing the on field effort more than the off field issues/locker room issues. No one is going to be able to completely control a room full of young millionaires. As far as Tyrod's staring at a tablet that speaks more to his flaws as a QB than it does any coaching staff or him as a teammate.
  21. Well, it's my hope that we actually get a coach who holds them accountable. It's all fun and games with Rex until he creates a bad culture. The same thing happened during his time with the Jets. If the head coach doesn't take anything seriously, how can you expect the players to?
  22. It's definitely on the players as well. It's just hard for me not to call out the braggadocio Rex when his team is that throughly embarrassed. It's not like his scheme has stopped anyone this year. We just witnessed the manifestation of it all on Sunday.
  23. Plus there aren't many NFL teams under any circumstances where you can run over them like the Steelers did to Rex. It's certainly not a blueprint you could rely on. You still need a QB, regardless of the fact the Steelers ran all over us.
  24. Not so sure we wouldn't have looked worse than tonight's Ravens had we faced Brady at Foxboro.
  25. I wouldn't say they don't care about records. This playoff drought is a pretty impressive one.
