  1. Why do the refs throw a flag whenever a Pats* player gets in the refs face? This league is ridiculous.
  2. Yeah, it's not happening. We needed to beat the Steelers or Ravens to at least have a prayer.
  3. Fair enough, but we also need to get him into our game plan as well. It's more than just QB. Daunte Culpepper did nothing in Minnesota except throw deep passes to Moss because that was the game plan. He wasn't a good QB. They just incorporated Moss into the game plan. Our plan is win or lose with Shady. He's all we got. It's like a high school offense. It's just working today. That's not to say Shady isn't a great talent. I'm just saying our offense is very simple.
  4. Key blocks still don't make me feel good about what we gave up to get Sammy.
  5. I was just thinking along the lines that I'm more worried about Miami,Pittsburgh,Oakland,Denver, and Baltimore all fighting for wild card spots than I'm worried about the Titans,Colts,or Texans. They are all bad teams who will lose games. One will get in as division champs.
  6. Doesn't really matter. Someone has to win the putrid AFC South, and steal a spot. No one from that division was going to take a wild card spot anyway.
  7. I love how much the Browns have their QBs back with two guys in his face. He must be really loved in that locker room too.
  8. Exactly. That play sums up our problems. That's why I dispute the people who claim our roster is in place for a contender. It's not like it's always the reserve players making the huge mistakes. It's our star players too. Your alleged stars need to be better than that.
  9. I'm not a TT fan either but Sammy is a fourth overall pick. To excuse that drop is ridiculous. Huge momentum swing play too.
  10. You do have to admit Sammy doesn't take advantage of the few opportunities he gets.
  11. We do nothing to use him at all. Yeah, too many teams already with 8 and 9 wins who we lose the tiebreakers to. Everyone would have to lose their next three games.
  12. I think it should depend on the Dolphins game outcome. Beating the Browns and Jets would prove nothing to me.
  13. The Browns have kept it close in quite a few games too. NFL games are close. Wins separate the winners from the losers. Not keeping it close.
  14. Yep I know I'll get destroyed for saying this, but this game is showing me that we aren't as close as some people think. We are closer to the Browns than anything else. We just have McCoy.
  15. RGIII just looked at you funny because someone actually insinuated that he's capable of winning a game. I'm sure it was a shocker.
  16. I'd like to know what being an Uber driver would do to ones car insurance in a state like NY.
  17. No matter what we're likely to have a top 20 pick. I believe that in the NFL that's good enough to pick up great talent if you have a capable GM. We've had plenty of top 10 busts over the playoff drought years, so it's not like picking at the top of the draft gets us instantly out of this mess. There are no sure things in the NFL. It's not like being the lucky guy that got to take credit for drafting Lebron James. Of course he turns the franchise around instantly. In the NFL that doesn't happen outside of the QB position imo. No defensive back, receiver,o linemen etc.. is going to come here and turn this thing around himself. We need a QB and people with a vision who can build a team. Our first round draft position isn't going to change that.
  18. Yes, but even during the 70's and early 80's between a bunch of terrible season there were a couple playoff appearances. Simpson also did some incredible stuff on the field back in those days. During this 17 year playoff drought there have been no playoffs. These last 17 years have been the worst in franchise history imo.
  19. To those of you worried about draft position I have one simple question. Who do you want to draft? The NFL doesn't work like other sports. There is no Connor McDavid or Jack Eichel in this draft. Who would we definitely miss out on if our draft position is a few picks later in the first round? "Tanking" isn't really a thing in the NFL for the most part. With that said, in a strange way I wouldn't mind a losing streak to guarantee the Pegula's are forced to clean house. Otherwise I couldn't care less if we win or lose.
  20. I'm going with Aaron Schobel, but the sad part is that I'm not sure that a playoff drought all star team could even make the playoffs.
  21. No way we can win without Hogan. Leaned that on another post. That being said, anything that assures Rex gets sent packing is fine with me.
  22. Neither do I. The offense is still quite vanilla, and actually hasn't changed that much since Roman's departure. As far as I'm concerned the Rams can have him. I hope they take him.
  23. Because those guys probably wouldn't fit the offense as well. Da'rick certainly wouldn't comprehend the complex Pats offense. Hogan is JAG in any other offense including ours. He understands their offense just well enough to work with Brady to make an impact. That impact being 32 receptions this season. People are acting like he has 80 receptions. A guy who has 32 receptions with a hall of fame QB isn't going to do that well or better somewhere else.
  24. As long as no division rivals or the Cowboys win it all, I'm good. I have no interest in rooting for any other team though. I couldn't care less about any other city getting a title. I really don't care for the Giants either. Living in central NY I get tired of all the Giants fans who find the Bills to be a joke. In fact most fans of other teams think the Bills are a joke. That's why I'm not rooting for any of them. With that said I wouldn't mind seeing Detroit or Cleveland do well. Of course Detroit is much closer.
