  1. Before you have the right to say someone else wasn't helpful to your team you have to look in the mirror first. Not ones fault for being injured, but you still couldn't contribute.
  2. This is exactly what makes a Rex a bad coach. We need a coach who doesn't tolerate this garbage. A coach needs to demand respect. The culture that getting to choose what system you buy into needs to leave this locker room. Too many me first selfish guys on this team IMO. These players talking about not buying into the system are all about themselves. A real leader would send these guys packing.
  3. The only thing mediocrity keeps us from is drafting a top 5 QB. Other quality players can be found later on. I hate this excuse that the franchise and fans have made for our struggles. Consistently successful organizations like the Steelers certainly don't lack quality players from constantly having later first round picks. We don't need to find more talented players. We need to figure out how to build a cohesive team with a plan. Mid first round picks aren't what's keeping us from doing so. What's stopping us is this franchise lacking a clear vision of what they want this team to be.
  4. I've seen him yell at guys on the sideline, but still comes across like an angry Barney Fife. Not a disciplinarian.
  5. I don't think disciplining Chad Kelly makes the guy a disciplinarian. Kelly is such a tool he kind of forces it to happen.
  6. The term "homer" is relative. Of course he will be a homer to an extent, but he takes it way too far. The Yankees have their own network, and they at least make an attempt to seem somewhat objective occasionally. Murph will never say one bad thing about anyone associated with this team.
  7. Actually it's not more frustrating. The way you feel about those guys is the same way we feel about Murph. Your complaint just happens to be against an unobjective observer looking at things in the opposite manner of Murph. Sully is negative and Murph is positive. Sadly I think Sully is more accurate because this organization is a mess, but that's beyond the point. All many of us want is at least a hint objectivity from these people. No one wants to listen or read to someone who is entirely positive or negative. You want writers and radio personalities who at least pretend to be objective. Murphy makes MIchael Kay of the Yes network look like the Yankees harshest critic. No one wants to hear how great this organization is doing in the midst of a 16 year playoff drought. That's hard to do in the NFL. I can't believe anyone chooses to listen to this guy. It's like someone choosing to listen to Soviet propaganda. He's always been a homer, but it's gotten much worse. I understand he gets lots of dumb calls, but his attitude is awful. He goes insane when anyone suggests that this organization has issues. While driving to work yesterday I wanted to listen to his show to hear calls regarding Rex. It only took 3 minutes before I had to change the channel.
  8. I suspect that at some point during this search Gruden or Cowher will become the new Seifert. I'm sure someone will spot them at Duff's or Anchor Bar.
  9. It's difficult for me to believe that Whaley doesn't already know what TT's future holds. Nothing is going to change once the season is over. I would assume the franchise has their mind made up if TT is staying or not.
  10. I didn't say anything about the defense. I think the defense could be fine with a coaching change. That's why I'd like to keep TT. If we actually played defense TT could win games for us. He's not good enough to win us a championship, but would be the best option while developing a young QB. There is no one we can bring in who will win us more games than TT no matter what the defense does IMO. This is not a strong rookie class of QBs, and we probably can't get Watson or Kizer anyway. TT would be serviceable with a decent defense. We could upgrade our defense big time next year, and we'd still lose more games throwing a rookie QB out there. There is no Roethlisberger or even Wentz type in this years draft.
  11. Sometimes Eli was the problem too. He's the most inconsistent QB in NFL history. He goes from elite to pedestrian year to year and game to game.
  12. We need to find a franchise QB, but starting a rookie probably means a regression to three or four wins. We really should keep TT, and try to build a soild defense. We can still develop a young QB behind him. None of this years rookie QB class are going to step in and win 9 games imo. They are all projects. I just hate to see us go further backwards.
  13. It's only being done so TT isn't forced on them next year. I think it means he's gone, and I don't like it. As far as the draft pick goes, I really don't care. Top 10 picks have gotten us Whitner,McKelvin,Gilmore,Spiller, and countless other disappointments. We just need to draft well, not lose more games.
  14. I admittedly don't know a lot about the financial aspect of football. Wouldn't resigning EJ while also paying TT be more costly than signing a rookie QB or going with Cardale as number two? Honestly any rookie QB or cheap free agent wouldn't be that big of a downgrade from EJ.
  15. So if EJ lights it up, what do they do with that information? There no way you keep both EJ and TT. So if they're sold on TT you don't need to know anything about EJ. Plus one game against a Jets team who have mentally headed home tells us nothing.
  16. Yeah he probably was drunk. I'm someone who doesn't "blackout" so I can't imagine doing something so dumb. I'm either conscious or unconscious. With that said plenty of guys couldn't find work anywhere after being labeled sex offenders for the same crime. In fact this actually happened to someone where I grew up. He did the exact same thing drunk. How many rapists are drunk? Is that an excuse? It's not a good look. He just got out of it because it happened in Knoxville where he played college ball. Just wait until the national media, and women's groups get ahold of that story. You'd be firing him on the spot.
  17. It seems contradictory to say that you believe the Bills are 100% sold on TT, yet they don't want to be "married" to him. I can't help but see this as indicating that the team is done with TT. If they are 100% sold on him, why would they be worried about an injury on Sunday? It really doesn't matter who the next coach is. It should be someone who can work with TT. There is no way we find an upgrade over TT going into week one 2017. If we let him walk we are left with nothing. I'm not a fan of any rookie QBs entering this draft so that plays a role in my option as well. I just fear this means he's done in Buffalo, and it doesn't make sense. We need to look for a QB upgrade, but we should keep him on the roster. We're not going to do better. I just don't think this looks positive for his future here. You don't just sit next seasons starter for the regular season finale. TT was all Rex. He has never been a Whaley guy. Now this is the Whaley show. I think that could mean there's a good chance TT goes.
  18. I actually do choose not to buy the product until changes are made. Doesn't mean I won't be posting here, and aware of the team but I'm not spending money on this team. It also doesn't mean that the Bills should try to tell us we all need to love Whaley.
  19. It's insane. The totalitarian means in which we are expected to bow down to Whaley is crazy. This guy is like the Pope during the dark ages.
  20. Good response. I agree that TT is too cheap not to resign. My issue is that the team sitting him indicates that they don't want to risk injury due to the contract clause. This tells me that they don't plan on resigning him. My issue is that there are no upgrades in sight imo. I do not view this years rookie QBs class as having any guys that you would immediately ditch TT for. This is just my personal perspective on this years class. Letting TT walk to start the season with Watson or Kizer doesn't make me feel comfortable. It's also highly unlikely they could even get those guys. This is why I hate this move that seems to indicate TT is gone. I also don't know if a new coach would "hate" him, but I wonder if Whaley does.
  21. Once again, if they fold under fan/media pressure they will never be good anyway. Just my opinion. I understand your point. I just don't see it that way.
  22. Right, but my point is this means TT is gone. Who does Whaley plan on finding who'd be an upgrade? Kicking TT to the curb doesn't make sense. My worry is that Whaley plans on going into the season with Manuel while drafting a rookie. That's what the writing on the wall looks like imo.
  23. How was giving himself what he thought was the best chance to win an FU? We all know what EJ is. Why bench the guy who gives you what think is a better chance to win? This means Whaley doesn't want to bring TT back next season. Hence not risking an injury to him. It worries me because who the h*** do we plan on playing QB in week one of 2017? No matter who we might pick up in the draft, TT would give us the best chance to win early next season.
