  1. They’d be disappointed when they found out how little access they actually receive. The fanboys would flee once they discover they don’t get the opportunity to talk to the players, or anyone else of significance.
  2. Well said. I suppose all of the handsome men on this board feel the need to trash these women who were just in it for the fun. I’m sure all of these posters have models as wives/gf’s. The Jill’s obviously didn’t have the fake plastic look that you’ll find Miami or LA, but it was just a fun experience for most of these women.
  3. At least we now know that none of you ever got into a fight defending the Jills ?
  4. That’s my thing, it’s simply tradition. It’s part of the complete American experience known as football. I’d probably care less if they weren’t replaced by the stupid drum corps. I know that I hold an unpopular opinion on TBD regarding the drummers, but they just don’t do much for me. It seems cheesy to me, and I could live without a bunch of guys beating their drums every break in the action.
  5. I’m surprised it took this long for one of our male model TBD posters to mention this.
  6. The front of the hat is ugly, but the bill put me over the top. The writing inside the cap is super cheesy. It looks like something that would be marketed to toddlers.
  7. Nothing like the old bar conversation that begins with the appearance of a friendly conversation. Only to be ruined when the other guy becomes randomly aggressive. This is why I grew out of the bar phase quite quickly.
  8. Fair enough, I was in high school during the early 2000’s. This was a time where the Bills were too irrelevant for anyone to really care. Winning teams bring out more anger in crazed opposition fans. I simply heard the occasional “the Bills suck” comments, to which I replied “yes, we do”.
  9. Nope. I only become angry with people who tell malicious lies. I haven’t found many of the negative things that people have told me about the Bills to be untrue.
  10. Fair enough, it was just the first thing that came to mind ?. In all fairness, this past seasons OSU D was great outside of the OU game, and the 55 point Iowa debacle.
  11. Wouldn’t be the first player to do so to an OSU D, this is how we ended up with Sammy Watkins.
  12. That’s exactly what makes them easy to replace. If you have a terrible C/G, then you are in the same shape as most other teams.
  13. Thad Brown seems like he has the smartest take. Pass on your chance at a franchise QB, and go into a panic because we lost two O Linemen this offseason. Sounds reasonable to me.
  14. Agreed. I really don’t like to overreact, but I’m just a traditionalist by nature. I’m not one who adjusts well to change. Eliminating kickoffs would take a portion of the experience away. It’d be difficult to see the game change this much. The only way to ensure safety is by eliminating the sport itself.
  15. The NFL will be dangerous until they convert the game to touch football. The quality of the game has declined due to rule changes. Many of these rules have done little to decrease injuries. Injuries will continue to exist as long as tackle football is played. Research involving CTE and football related injuries are ongoing. One can reach whatever conclusion they choose from this research that is only in its infancy. No longer can any player say they were unaware of potential risks associated with playing football. This should eliminate any moral quandary pertaining to football. Modern football players are grown men who are aware of potential/alleged risks. This isn’t about “drunk guys with beer guts” trying to be tough. This is about a game that no longer exists if the rules are changed extensively. Football is a brutal game by its very nature. The game seizes to exist once that nature is taken away.
  16. The article might not be “trumpeting” Rudolph as a top 10 pick, but he will likely be drafted higher than Dak. Rudolph would be worth taking a chance on in the third round (where Dak was picked), but I wouldn’t take him much higher. The Cowboys were able to receive a big reward while taking a low risk. Rudolph is likely to go much higher than any GM should be willing to take him.
  17. This is where debates about players like Allen lead to philosophical questions. No matter how great the teacher, can you teach someone to do soemthing they aren’t capable of? With good coaching there is a chance that Allen might become an accurate passer. There is also a high probability that Allen doesn’t possess the ability to be an accurate passer. This is why so many of us prefer drafting a guy who has shown the ability to be an accurate passer.
  18. This is why they should never eliminate kickoffs. I already spend my days listening to music that was created well before I was born, now I worry in the near future I’ll only be watching rerun football games from years ago. The possibility for a new era of NFL football is becoming increasingly real. Lets just hope they don’t completely ruin the game. Recent rule changes have already compromised the integrity of the game. Additionally, what is the real purpose of this new league? Incorporating new rules into the league seems like a decent idea at first glance, but I’m not convinced this is the type of uniqueness that fans crave. The NFL becoming increasingly soft is one of the most frequently heard fan complaints. How much of a demand is there for a second tier league that appears to be even softer? The survival of an additional pro football league depends on their ability to differentiate themselves from the NFL. Eliminating kickoffs appears to be their first attempt at doing so. I don’t see this as the correct way to differentiate themselves. Old school style football is more likely to appeal to die hard football fans. These are the people who should be the target audience of a new league who wants to challenge the NFL. Casual fans will continue to gravitate solely to the NFL, until a second league can truly establish themselves.
  19. Has been head coaches in a second tier league. Sounds like a real formula for success already.
  20. Bills nation would implode if we don’t draft a QB in round one, and rightfully so. McBeane won’t be making $2 mil/yr at OBD for long if they fail to get a QB in this draft.
  21. It’s stupid to say that this is article is complete rubbish, but it’s just as unwise to recognize it as the truth. None of us know how this draft scenario is going to play out. Let’s talk about how well Beane did his job once this draft is complete. Until then it’s difficult to judge what’s occurring.
  22. True, but Cam played against defensive teams loaded with NFL talent as well. It really all evens itself out. Regardless of the level of play, a guy either produces or doesn’t. Allen didn’t produce on the field. He’s much like Losman at Tulane. I’m the first guy to discount National Championships and Heisman trophies as indicators of success. However, a guy still needs to be somewhat successful on the field in college. Allen was terrible in 2017.
  23. Cam Newton also played against superior competition. Unlike Allen, he didn’t stink against playing them either.
  24. I agree. I’ve always wondered how much of his “addiction” stuff is bs. I’m not ignorant to the reality of addiction, and us third party observers can’t make that judgment. He just seems so spoiled that I’ve always wondered if the partying was a choice rather than a necessity.
