  1. No. He's a decent red zone threat, but not much more imo.
  2. He's probably worth a shot round four or later imo. I wouldn't spend any picks in the first three rounds on him. I just see another Big 12 guy that slings it all over, making him look better than he really is. He has all the physical gifts, but he'll need to learn how read a defense at the pro level. I don't think this is something that will happen. He's in a one read Big 12 offense. We have yet to see a guy who can make a successful transition from that to the pros.
  3. The second half of Rivers career is what's going to hurt him with HOF voters imo. He hasn't won much in many years. That's what voters are going to remember about him. Manning and Roethlisberger both have Super Bowl wins, they are in. Rivers hasn't won anything. No Super Bowl wins or appearances. As mentioned by another poster there was also no point in his career where he was unarguably the best QB for a long stretch. That is what he would have needed to get in without any titles to his credit. It's been a long time since he has taken a team to the playoffs. If success in recent years would have matched his early success I would have said he's in. The issue is that it hasn't. HOF voters aren't going to care that it's a team game. He just hasn't won consistently. That will keep him out of the hall.
  4. Actually it shows me that what Mahomes did doesn't necessarily translate to the pros. It shows that teams put up tons of points in the Big 12. If Mahomes put up 55 and lost, apparently the other QB had a big game too. Big 12 football is like basketball. The QB is essentially the point guard. Bryce Petty and Geno Smith put up insane numbers in the Big 12 too.
  5. No thanks. He plays in the typical one read Big 12 air raid offense. How many Big 12 QB's have been successful in the NFL recently? There is a reason for this. He put up big numbers in college with a system that won't translate to the pros. This reminds of the time everyone wanted Kliff Kingsbury.
  6. Two Words. Social Media. No other generation had the internet had their fingertips like millennials do. Imagine some of the players of the 70's if they had access to social media.
  7. You're right , it's not good for you. My point is that I believe HGH use is rampant in the NFL. This makes me believe that is no need to say that any one guy has an advantage by juicing. I think it's prevalent enough to the point where it's an equal playing field of juicing. As long as fans tune in and the league doesn't take testing seriously, it will remain this way. These guys don't keep magically getting bigger and faster from something in the air. I'm not saying everyone juices, or that some guys aren't gym rats. I'm just saying it's a huge problem, and Harrison would be far from the only guy juicing on that field.
  8. The Pats* have really been a different team in the postseason than they are in the regular season since their 2004 Super Bowl win. They are still a dynasty, but their regular season dominance hasn't completely carried over to the postseason in recent years. So I definitely agree with the statement. I'm not saying that the Pats aren't a great team, but they have looked far more human in the postseason.
  9. Going for two was the only option. It didn't lose the game. With the extra point or a failed two point, a field goal wins. I still don't follow.
  10. He did a great job getting the most out of both post prison Vick and McNabb. Neither one of those guys are anywhere near the level of today's elite QBs.
  11. Posluszny's neck is on the other line.
  12. Maybe he is, but this philosophy makes little sense to me. If he can juice so easily (which he probably can) why can't every other player do the same (which they probably do)? So I see no story here. I'm sure it's an equal playing field.
  13. Yep, once he finally got the players do it. Reid would be unstoppable if he had an elite QB.
  14. What play was that? Sorry I don't follow.
  15. More like Alex Smith. With Trent version 2.0 it's amazing Reid takes the team this far every season.
  16. NFL coaches in general suck at a lot. It really all depends if they have the players to bail them out. Reid doesn't. For example hated McCarthys slow developing run call that knocked the Packers out of field goal range on the Packs last drive. For a team with no run game it made no sense to not put the game on Rodgers. The call was awful, yet Rodgers bailed him out. Alex Smith can't bail anyone out.
  17. Relax. The Pats have choked in the Super Bowl, and on their way to it plenty of times. They look unbeatable all regular season, but we've seen a different story in the post season.
  18. I've never understood the love that Todd Haley gets. As far as KC goes I'm not sure what more Childress can do with Smith as his QB.
  19. I used to argue this with people who would tell me they were tougher because they played rugby. Rugby is tough, but football puts people in more unique positions to get hurt. Rugby has a bunch of guys running around chasing the ball carrier. Football presents the opportunity for two people to blindly collide at full speed with a running start. More chances of moving objects colliding with stationary objects in football. No one in rugby is as vulnerable as a receiver in football running over the middle.
  20. Most would. NFL coaches are too conservative. If I remember right O Brien punted in the forth quarter down two scores to the Pats. It's a game the Texans had no shot, why not just hope you make a lucky play? That's not what NFL coaches do. I've always liked Reid. Maybe I'm just biased. I will say that just because Rex is gone doesn't mean I don't expect punting on forth and short in opponents territory. That's what coaches do.
  21. You have to give Reid credit for not punting like every other NFL coach would in that spot.
  22. Yes he does. All the Chiefs really need is for him to make one big play, and he can't seem do it. He's like a better version of captain checkdown.
  23. Honestly the Pats have been quite vulnerable in the playoffs the last 10 years or so. They've looked unbeatable for those years almost every regular season, but haven't been quite the same in the post season.
  24. Same here. He has all the qualifications of things I dislike in a person that I don't even know.
  25. Travis Kelce is so annoying.
