  1. I'm always indifferent to the celebration debate. Who cares if guys want to celebrate a touchdown? It really doesn't hurt anything. At the same time I don't care if I miss out on the chance to see a football player twerking in the end zone.
  2. Good list. I tend to hate teams for the same reason as you, their fans. It's always due to solely to fans expect for the Cowboys who have Jerry Jones in addition to their own obnoxious fans. I tend to hate teams who have too many fans. It annoys me to no end when people root relentlessly for a team they have no real ties to. They simply picked a team to root for who wins. It's even worse when those same people brag about how great their team is while telling us our team sucks. Many of us were born into this torture known as being a Bills fan, fans of these other teams have just picked the easy route.
  3. I agree. The novelty has worn off imo. It was very interesting to see on tv the first time, but it just does nothing for me anymore.
  4. We do have a new offensive coordinator. Say what you will about TT but "ground and pound" was always a Rex thing.
  5. Yes because Shady had an amazing season and we still had Woods. We can't count on Shady to repeat last season, and Woods is gone. A receiver group with Holmes as the number one and Brown/Butler as number two wouldn't be acceptable.
  6. How many top 10 tight end draft picks have ever been worth it? At least in the last 10 years or so Tight End seems to be a position where you get value in the second or third.
  7. No one, but Sammy has a history of injuries. We have nothing after him for depth. Sammy going down with the current receiver group would be crippling.
  8. In today's NFL there are plenty of targets to go around for two receivers. Plus who says Sammy will be on the field all season? That guy has bust written all over him imo. Using the 10th pick on him would be very disappointing. No one even seems to know what position he is suited for in the pros.
  9. He's just a backup QB. There aren't too many good ones in the league. I doubt that the Giants have any greater plans for him. Eli is the undisputed starter at this time. Finding a franchise QB is like winning a bet. You just have to hope you get lucky. It's not like Geno is necessarily their post Eli prospect. They need a backup now, and can only keep their fingers crossed that somehow a viable franchise QB comes their way after Eli.
  10. TT is obviously no Aaron Rodgers, but this logic confuses me. Don't you think it's fair to say that Sammy being out for most of last season hurt our offense? Tyrod and the passing offense did look better with Sammy on the field.
  11. If they can be had in the mid to late first round I think trading down for them would be a perfect scenario. Great post. This is the reason I don't understand why drafting a receiver seems to upset some people so much. Does anyone want to see Andre Holmes as our number one this season? Who would be the number two in that situation? It's a scary thought, and there is a good chance it would happen at some point during this season.
  12. I agree. I never see corner as a good value with a high pick to begin with. The majority of elite NFL corners were drafted in the middle rounds. It's a position that is almost impossible to play in the NFL. Countless great college corners have gone on to be average in the pros. The Giants defeated the Pats in two Super Bowl with their pass rush. Corners don't win championships, pass rushers do.
  13. So your willing to count on a guy who had 14 receptions last season to be our number two? Number two WR is still a major question mark. Drafting a reciever wouldn't be crazy at all simply based on that fact alone.
  14. That isn't bad. How can anyone really expect fans to show up for the NIT though? It's hard to justify taking the time to watch your favorite team play a game they likely don't want anything to do with.
  15. A strong case could be made for Williams over Maybin based on the definition of the word "bust". Everyone viewed Mike Williams as a future all pro type guy who would be a soild player for many years. Williams was supposed to be great. He turned out to be the exact opposite. On the other hand Aaron Maybin was not viewed as a can't miss prospect by the majority of other teams. He was another guy who we reached for. Drafting Maybin was a mistake at the time, drafting Williams was only a mistake in hindsight. Based on this criteria Williams was the bigger bust. Based solely on production Maybin would be the biggest bust.
  16. Maybin, no question. We've had tons of horrible first round picks, but Maybin is tops imo. Based solely on lack of production and value no one tops Maybin.
  17. This ^ It's probably a good thing he left since he seemed somewhat confused by purpose of the meeting. I'm not sure what his expectations were. How was this meeting supposed to go?
  18. Well, his 14 receptions in 2016 has certainly sparked some intense debate on this forum. Honestly I was surprised as well. I think that teams like guys who have shown they can compete at the highest level. He may not have gaudy stats, but often times these guys are safer bets than mid to late round draft picks. Receiver is a difficult position to transition from college to the pros. Even marginal veteran receiver talent are often more productive than younger guys at the position. With that said, I don't think I'd want him any higher on the depth chart than a third WR.
  19. The thing that I find the most "Billsy" is the amount of passion and anger that a post about Andre freaking Holmes has stirred up.
  20. Yes, it's hard to believe they are going to settle with Holmes as the number two. I think he'd be a good pickup as a number three.
  21. Good points. The scary thing is that these universities claim to be beacons of morality, and that the future of mankind depends on them. In reality they are money making machines who care very little about the well being of those they claim to serve. The bottom line is that it has worked. We're not all that far from a future we're you will need a college degree sweep floors. Yet people with Wonderlic scores under 15 walk away with diplomas. It's not just athletes, I come across these people on a daily basis. College sports are very disgusting if you think about it too much. With that said, I do love college football.
  22. In your last post you just said that "it means nothing".
  23. For the love of God I am chill. I'm just saying it would be a joke IF a reciever isn't drafted with a high round pick this season. As far as free agency goes, I'm really not too interested in what we could get for a number two going that route.
  24. If we don't draft a WR with a first or second our receiving corps will be a joke. It would hold back any team from having a productive season. Of course some will chose to ignore that fact and blame everything on TT. I can't believe not a single poster has mentioned that a competent number two WR would also help Sammy out a lot. We all know he's had injury issues, but it's also hard for a guy to be dominant when he's the only WR threat. We can't except Sammy to be dominant when we have some practice squad level guy as the number two.
