  1. Yeah, but will the Chiefs pick be high enough to get us a good QB? I doubt it.
  2. I like accumulating draft picks, but this team needs them now. Next year is promising I suppose. Isn't that the official franchise motto?
  3. I don't like Watson at all, but I actually agree. I wouldn't like the selection of Watson, but if they like him they should take him. If they don't care for Watson a trade down would be wise. A DB isn't going to turn this franchise around. Only a QB could do that.
  4. How many top 10 tight ends have ever been worth it? That's what concerns me.
  5. Hooker is also a guy with injury concerns. It'd be a perfect Bills pick.
  6. The dude played only season and is in the spotlight for making big plays. I'm not saying he's awful, but he happened to be in the right place at the right time often this season. It helped to inflate his draft stock. Big plays come and go. Can Hooker do all the small things? I think he's a couple years away from being a good pro.
  7. If you're being sarcastic, I agree. If not I'd say that he's not the only QB who ever beat Bama. Good college QB's always played well against Bama. Bama doesn't face that many good QB's during the season. They face many run heavy SEC teams with poor QB's. It says nothing about Watson as a pro prospect.
  8. The guy played only one season. A lot of his plays came from being in the right place at the right time. He is going to take some time to develop. This could cause him to drop.
  9. This ^ It's not like we'll be willing to pay him once his rookie contract is up.
  10. I was just about to say I get the feeling that Watson is going to drop big time tonight. Once the championship glow wore off teams saw his flaws. I could see him dropping into the 20's, unless we pick him.
  11. I'm beginning to think it's defense all the way with McDermott anyway. I just hope it isn't the one year wonder Hooker.
  12. It's not like I think it warrants a congressional investigation, but I do believe there is some validity to the article. You seemed to understand the topic. Some other people seemed slightly confused about what the article was trying to say. I'm not real concerned about, I just think that there is some truth to the article.
  13. I agree, but I also agree with the general premise of the article of which people here seem to missing. Starting with the college scouting of high school players recruiters already have subconscious bias. Recruiters are far more likely to look at urban Florida schools for recievers and corners while they are more likely to look at California suburban private schools for QB's. This creates a bias that I tend to believe might be true. 97% percent of NFL corners are black. It would actually be racist to say this is based on merit. That would be making the assumption that one race is more naturally gifted at corner than the other. This is simply not true.
  14. I know what it means, but I haven't a clue what you're saying.
  15. Some people are good athletes and others aren't. Race has nothing todo with it. I couldn't be a world class marathoner, but it has nothing to do with my race. Mengele called, he wants you to stop stealing his ideas. What do non-white a holes have to do with the term reverse racism?
  16. So black people have better "quick twitch muscles" ? Thanks doc
  17. And it's not like it's hard to write bad things about the Bills. I know some people here can't handle it, but it's the truth.
  18. I'm not a huge Thomas fan, but now that we're talking about taking OJ Howard he looks a lot better. I'd be happier with Thomas as the pick than another tight end.
  19. He misses open guys in the middle of the field constantly. I'm not sure what stats have been posted here that show otherwise. I'd like to see them.
  20. Luck is one element. However, you still need to be wise enough to give yourself a chance. The Bills haven't done this. We haven't drafted enough QB's and have also very poor QB selections. Losman and Manuel were both bad picks. Neither should have been a first round QB. You never know what QB's will become great, but reaching for guys like Losman and Manuel is a recipe for failure.
