  1. Didn’t she lie about the assault according to her friends? I’d love to know what you were like in college? Ever drink a lot? I’m guessing if Kav is human garbage, you’re right in the landfill next to him.
  2. You can't drink alcohol at parties in college and be a Supreme Court Justice 30 years later is quite the take.
  3. Hysterical that some folks think Zay Jones will be on this roster next year. The only way he makes the team is if we roll with Holmes as our #1 WR again.
  4. "McD and Beane have EARNED the benefit of the doubt when they took a rag tag team and snapped the 17 year old drought." How much of that is indicative of their team-building versus ability as a coach? "Beane had further earned trust pulling off trades and getting value for guys people said we could never trade, like getting a 3rd for Tyrod. Lets not forget that a majority of this board didnt think we could even get a 4th for Watkins and he got a 2nd and a solid player." Yes, Beane showed he was really good at getting picks for players. I'm not concered about his ability to sell, any idiot can accumulate picks. I'm concerned about his ability to buy. "Not to mention putting the team in poison to get 2 first round premium rookies at major positions of need this draft in Allen and Edmunds." And yet, we won't know if those picks work out until at least 2 years from now (your words). "Not to mention got us out of cap hell and now have the best cap situation moving into next year." It's very easy to cut/trade a bunch of guys and eat their cap hits all in one year. "Cap hell" and "good players under contract" are closer to each other than you think. "Not to mention our D is in pretty good shape moving forward" ??? Really, our backfield is in good shape. Our pass rush is anemic, LoRax is old, Murphy and Star are not good and are overpaid. Harry is a rotational DT. It wouldn't shock me to see an entirely new DL in the next 2 years. And pass rushers are the most important position on defense and we have zero good ones. "Can now focus on talent around Allen with all that cap space and draft picks." I guess that's my point. We haven't had the greatest track record of accumulating offensive or DL talent with resources so far. What gives you the idea that McBeane will get the WR position right next year for example?
  5. Do you think there should exist concerns about if Mcbeane knows best how to use that cap space and those picks right now?
  6. Here you go. I guess you would've been happy with Gresham costing $1.8M less than Clay this year for 1 catch and 9 yards. At least then, we wouldn't be overpaying for the overrated Clay!
  7. What? Incognito wasn't under contract through 2019. This is why you're a bad poster. Your analysis (lol) is basically a special ed stream of consciousness. You're completely arrogant in your ability to spout off about topics in which you're woefully uninformed. You are 1000 "Why haven't we signed Dez yet?" posters in a single tiny, angry man. I won't justify a bad decision with a bad decision. If it was my call, I would have laughed Star out of the building with those contract demands. And Murphy wouldn't have sniffed $8M per after missing a year, pass rush help needed or no. And I agree with you, I would've paid Woods before either of those guys, especially knowing Watkins was on his way out, although we might have had to pay 7.5M instead of 6. But if I was calling the shots, I'm not sure it would have been smart to do any of that.
  8. The Clay hate is overblown. His contract is not ideal, but he was the best FA TE to hit the market since he's been signed. He's our best receiver (not saying a lot). Out of the FA TE's in recent years, here are some comparisons: Jermaine Gresham - cap hit 1.8 M less than Clay this year He had 322 yards in 14 games with the Cards last year. He currently has 1 catch for 9 yards on the year. In 4 years with the Cards, he has 945 yards. For comparison, in 4 years with the Bills , Clay had almost double that at 1725 yards. Trey Burton - cap hit $3M less than Clay this year Last year, Burton had 248 yards in 15 games with the Eagles. Last year, Clay had 558 yards in 13 games. Eric Ebron - $2.25M cap hit less than Clay this year 574 yards in 16 games last year. Again, Clay had 558 yards in 13 games last year. So what are we really talking about here? A extra million or two for a player who is far and away the best TE that has hit FA? Folks, that the price of FA. Sometimes, you have to pay more to get a good player that other teams also want. The Clay contract problem is so overblown it's ridiculous.
  9. We didn't have a good QB. We still might not. I am a huge fan of Robert Woods and what he brings to the table. I would have liked to keep him, in a perfect situation. But team-building philosophy dictates that you do not lock up a 600 yard per season WR as an offensive cornerstone. He doesn't move the needle enough. When you're close, he's a good piece. When you're far away, he costs too much for too little gain. This is why you're worst poster on the board. You're the vocal idiots in a "we are legion" situation. They are all vocally annoying but they are really 100 posters with a bad opinion each. You're 1 poster with 1000 bad opinions.
  10. Yes. The Rams made a bunch of short term moves before their stars' cap hits balloon. They will lose some serious talent in the next two years. Especially as they maneuver to afford Goff's fifth year option. Woods will be a cap casualty. And, we would've had to pay Woods more than them. Nope. I'm going ding them for extending an old ass center through 2019 (!) at $8M per.
  11. Then why sign old ass vets like Tolbert, Davis, Boldin? Why extend Eric Wood past his usefulness last year? Why short term moves in a long term plan? Unless, of course, they have a short term goal they are failing.
  12. Woods (in Buffalo) actually is the exact player you don't want to overpay when you're building a championship roster.
  13. And almost all for different teams, with their own caps, team needs, and philosophies. It's not like all 5 are on the Pats right now.
  14. Is the worst poster on TBD qualified to make that call? Is this a "takes one to know one" type situation? But 5 2's....
  15. I don't think we should give them a pass, but we should cut them some slack. McBeane and co have actually tried to revamp the WR group and RB group. This originally wasn't an issue of effort. Since they arrived, they: Let Woods go, drafted Zay high - Total flat out bust. He was supposed to be a Woods replacement player, not a star but a quality starter/emergency #1. He wasn't an undraftable talent that we took in the 2nd when he would've went in the 7th. He was going to be somebodies bust, we got unlucky. Woods was leaving at that price tag and at that time, I would have let him walk too. Let Gillislee go, signed Tolbert, let Tolbert go, sign Ivory - got a decent pick for Gillislee for short term pain, but righted the ship with Ivory who has a role and is a clear #2 RB. I didn't agree with letting TD Mike go, but Milano is solid, and they let Tolbert go finally. Let Goodwin go, tried to sign a reliable #3 vet - Holmes was a flier, Boldin was a RZ target/#3, Maclin was pursued, Kerleywas eventually acquired. They tried here, Holmes ended up being an STer, Boldin was dead, and Maclin said no !@#$ing thanks. No reason to think they couldn't adequately replace Goodwin in FA, but somehow... Traded Watkins, traded for Benjamin - Hard decision here. I think they screwed up by not picking up Sammy's option, which left them with a WR who was going to hit FA. They needed a #1 caliber under contract for Allen's or the eventual QB heir's rookie year. Benjamin proved to not be that guy. I think he's worse than we all expected though. Hard to give them a pass for this one, but there's definitely a difference between the player they bought and the player they got. My biggest concern right now is that McBeane is not actively pursuing WR talent TODAY. They appear to have given up. We hear how they are scouring for DE's, for CB's, hell they even scoured for TE's. I'd be bringing in 5 UDFA WR's at a time and a practice squad QB and just have them catch 50 balls on the field a day. They got burned, horrendously, on the WR group and have stopped looking. I don't like that.
  16. I think you can have serious reservations about the offensive philosophy and rebuild while being happy that we made the playoffs out of what could have been a lost season.
  17. That's what they had to do last year, including QB. They got unlucky.
  18. Yeah no players in the NFL ever take pay cuts to sign with Super Bowl contenders.
  19. Even though Clay is overpaid and overguaranteed to hell, his contract is hardly cap prohibitive. He was the best FA TE on the market in the last 5 years. That's because those "resident geniuses" knew it would actually cost the Bills $4.5M more to cut him than keep him in dead cap this year. But hey, you called it (incorrectly) without doing a single second of research!
  20. Some fans think Shaq has played all year because he’s usually always invisible anyway.
