  1. Sure, Allen and the offense let us down today. Never argued otherwise.
  2. It had something to do with it. So did the defense allowing 30+. But AGAIN, the defense has bailed out the offense plenty all year. The one game the defense DOESNT bail out the offense, and we were done 4 minutes after halftime. THAT’S the point.
  3. We scored 13 points. We would be 0-6 with that offensive performance every week.
  4. Today was the offenses fault and Allen as the QB and the leader of the offense will take the lions share of the offensive blame, just like every other QB has since football invented the forward pass.
  5. We scored 13 points. Our offense failed to be anything other than a disappointment. Our defense had a bad day. There is a difference, because I’ve watched the rest of the games this year.
  6. Unfortunately, I think that’s not the case. I think the defense has bailed the offense out in a lot of the games this year. Sometimes you have to outscore an opponent to win. Sometimes it’s just not your defenses’ day. Our defense held down a couple teams this year. Held the Pats close. Held the Jets close after the offense had 4 TO’s. Had a big pick vs the Dolphins to change momentum. Bengals game etc etc. When the Eagles scored on their second straight drive after half, we needed the offense to bail us out. They could not. Facts are facts. Good teams have an offense that can bail out a bad day by the defense and vice versa. The Bills are not that team. See what the 49ers are doing against a quality opponent for how good teams operate.
  7. The unfortunate thing is I think we all recognized the offense was going to have to bail out the defense today. Did anyone have faith that the offense could put up 30+ and keep us in it? Isn’t that the real problem?
  8. We have $88M before rookie contracts next year. I hope we don’t resign Lorax and roll the rest. Eventually you need to sign a couple good players.
  9. I wonder how much Baker is trying, and failing, to placate his WR’s. There was that story that Stafford got much better when he wasn’t forcing it to Megatron, even though his WR’s were worse. And Watson threw a ton of picks in college trying to force the ball to Mike Williams. Too many egos in a locker room can be a bad thing. OBJ struggling to get the ball while in Cleveland is a lot different than in NYC.
  10. Sammy Watkins was a bad egg here by the time Beane got involved. It was a divorce move, not one because we didn’t need WR help. He traded for Benjamin 7-8 weeks later.
  11. Oh yeah, Watkins contract is horrendous though. You can see the NFL arms race in it though. Having a guy who can take it 50 yards or multiple guys is worth its weight in gold. That’s the guy the Bills need. McK is too small and too gadgety. I like him but he’s a role player.
  12. He’s getting $9M per which is pretty good. The #1 thing is a meme. Playmakers are playmakers. Having one good receiver is a good thing. Having two is better. The Bills have one. Beasley is a slot/short route guy but he can’t play on the boundary.
  13. The future Enterprise rental car workers of America were an example of our winning culture!
  14. Imagine thinking beating the Eagles but having the media not give us much credit is a “lose” scenario. Couldn’t be me.
  15. I think it’s time to stop pretending these JAGs and cast offs can be the ”guy.” Carolina pretended that having tomato cans at WR was sufficient for years and they only made it to one SuperBowl and wasted much of Cam’s career. You just need playmakers. Brady can beat you with anybody. Everyone else can’t. If Beane and co thought a slow UDFA CFL player was the answer at WR, they need their heads examined.
  16. I think we need a really good WR right now, not one in 2-3 years. We can’t wait for a guy to develop. Most players aren’t great out of the box. I can’t name the last WR who had 1000 yards as a rookie. Amari Cooper?
  17. We have $88M in space next year not counting future rookie contracts. We don’t need that much space.
