  1. That’s just the point though. Oliver being a third down pass rushing specialist when he hasn’t been all that effective at rushing the passer is uh, not good.
  2. “I can’t believe we are throwing on 2nd and 1 and Allen took a sack/fumbled!!!!! What are you thinking Daboll!!!!!!!” Armchair Monday morning playcalling. I expect this OL to get a yard in three tries. I expect Frank Gore to find endzone on 1st and goal at the 1. Maybe that’s too much, but I don’t think that’s unreasonable, at all.
  3. He was invisible on sunday. I believe there were whispers that Oliver’s coaches at Houston thought his frame couldn’t handle much more playing weight.
  4. National fans, not Bills fans. It’s why there’s so many handwringing on this board when some nobody at CBS sports leaves us off a list. My point is that Hyde is not addressing that 10% of Bills fans think we are paper tigers. It’s the 90% of national media.
  5. Oliver is in trouble. His ceiling was Aaron Donald. His floor was, well, I don’t know. He’s an undersized, squat DT who hasn’t been super effective rushing the passer. I’m not sure what his role in the defense is at his level of play right now. Still extremely early in his career, but I can understand why McD is limiting his role. I’d rather my pass rushing rookie DT get 9 sacks like Donald, or 6 like Dareus, not benched at 6-2 with the run defense imploding since the 3rd round pick last year got hurt.
  6. “I can’t believe Daboll tried to get cute with the quick toss and lost 3!!!! Run Gore up the middle 3 times, no way we can’t get 1 yard!!!!!” - words from a Bills alternate universe.
  7. Or the offensive line we invested about $35M into could get a single yard. That’s the execution part. If you can’t get a yard 3 times in a row, it’s the players, not the play.
  8. Russell Wilson doesn’t run the option anymore dude. That’s why it’s important to compare apples to apples. I could compare Lamar to Watson all day long, but I’m not doing that because they don’t run similar offenses. I’m not convinced that you’re the one with the chip on your shoulder about this guy. Thank u for admitting they do run the triple option after vehemently denying it. Not enough of that on TBD these days. And again, Jackson is throwing more yards per game than only two QB’s who have played mostly 8 full games. And one of those is our beautiful gazelle.
  9. Lamar Jackson has more passing yards per game than only 3 QB’s who have played as many games as him. Allen, Jimmy G and Brissett. And Brissett is skewed because he got knocked out of his last game early.
  10. McKenzie, but not for the reasons you mentioned. McKenzie is keyed on by defenders. His jet motion was a HUGE part of the Bills run game success. Every time he motioned, he either made a few defenders hesitate, or made a good block downfield. Sometimes, the block didn’t necessarily matter as the play was stopped short, but there will be a time where he springs Singletary for 40 yards. That misdirection is absolutely crucial. The play where we motioned him one way and ran the quick toss the other to Singletary was genius. Daboll needs to get more credit too IMO.
  11. Okay okay, let me clarify. They are running the Navy offense EXTREMELY well.
  12. RG3 threw for 213 yards per game at one point too homie. I’m not doubling down on anything. I’m not invested in Lamar one way or another. He’s certainly an athletic weapon, and he puts pressure on defenses with his legs like probably no one else in the league right now. But those things were also said about other QB’s who failed to have sustained success in the NFL. Also, running the pistol with two to 3 runners in the backfield is by definition the triple option. Watch the games.
  13. Hard to be a good playcaller when the players fail to execute. Damned if you call a cute play on 3rd and goal at the one, damned if you call a run up the middle and count on your players to get it done.
  14. I’m rewatching the game now. His third big run in a row was a Houdinini. No idea how he stayed up in that pile then emerging running down the sideline.
  15. Yeah man, the pistol, triple option running offense has proven to be super sustainable in the NFL. It’s the reason we can’t have a conversation about the best QB’s in the league without mentioning Kaepernick and RG3.
  16. We definitely forget how much that probably means to Singletary. He was in like high school when AP was carrying those Vikings teams to the playoffs and rushing for 2k off a torn ACL.
  17. Kitchens may be fired with a loss to the Bills, no chance they look past us.
  18. I don’t think the players care about the fans. It’s the media, which won’t give you credit as a good team until you prove it.
  19. Man, Stafford must have caused the loss with stats like that.
  20. Exactly. Sick dude, taking out a punter at the head when he’s running a trick play in the exhibition All Star game. I must have missed the last time someone got celebrated in the NBA All Star game for taking out Lebron’s knees when he’s trying to do a 420 dunk. The fact that Sean Taylor is celebrated for that hit has always been super odd to me. You know even Moorman was even pissed about it. Why else run over and tell him good hit?
  21. Sean Taylor’s hit on Moorman was absolutely dirty and ridiculous by today’s standards.
  22. You have already complained about the Oliver pick and insisted we should have taken Metcalf. Did you think no one remembers your post history?
