  1. They are just as close as us to finding their franchise QB, but they actually have a chance of finding one.
  2. What about the reports of resistance from the "youth movement" of Whaley and Marrone? They were getting stonewalled by their lifers trying to improve the team.
  3. If Whaley wasn't prepared to be "on board" with the Rex hire, he shouldn't have been put on the list of candidates. Case closed.
  4. We should've. I don't believe in the school - NFL thing. If you can play, you can play.
  5. They should've taken Wentz last year. Trubisky, Watson, Mahomes.
  6. They screwed up. They didn't read the manual that drafting another QB is a recipe for disaster. It's why the Jets are terrible right now. Christian Hack and Bryce Petty are bringing the whole team down.
  7. In the 2015 draft, they thought Tyrod was the guy? Before he had even taken a snap? What? Thank god the Raiders and Bucs didn't say, "hey let's not take QBs in 2014 and 2015 because usually when you take a guy high, you aren't allowed to take another one."
  8. The Pegulas took over a 9-7 team with a great defense and made them worse with just about every decision they made. Excuse me for not pretending otherwise.
  9. What's our excuse for picking 1 QB high in 4 years? I like Trubisky, he could be the guy.
  10. Yes. It's just like "Tyrod NEVER got full offseason reps as QB," "Rex NEVER got to run his system with guys who bought in," "our offense and defense NEVER played a game where they were 100% healthy." All pipe dreams.
  11. You seem to think I'm saying I "know" what would happen, but it's more like a strong belief. I think 40 NFL QB's could've beat th Jags in London and EJ managed to just miss that illustrious group.
  12. The closest to "take a QB every year," would be them taking a QB every year with the same GM and coach in 2015 and 2016. Which is 2 years. If you're trying to hold up Geno Smith as a reason to not take a shot in 2015 and 2016, you're welcome to do so.
  13. Huh? Might want to check those drafit again, Doc. It has not been 4 years of taking a QB every year.
  14. He gave EJ two chances and he sucked in both. Putting his eggs in his basket as even our #2 cost us the postseason in 2015. Cassel wins that jags game going away, but Whaley just needed that 5th rounder in 2017 to excuse lifting his boy up the depth chart. Winston was a sure fire #1 overall so I'm sure every single GM, Whaley included, think he's gonna be good.
  15. I'm oretty sure the Peguls verified the "Whaley made a list" story, I'm link hunting. There's a difference between saying good things and effusive praise. Whaley talked about Rex the same way he gushed about EJ, the QB he picked. That's not just towing the company line, IMO
  16. We actually do. Period. Whaley composed the list of coaches he considered for the job, and gave that to Pegs. Rex was on the list. Rex got hired. Whaley and him were "finishing each other's sentences." Maybe now, Doug and his fanbase are trying to convince the world he hated the Rex hire secretly, but that sure wasn't the case 2 years ago.
  17. Yes. I am outraged that every year, we say we need a QB and we've drafted 1 high in 4 seasons. It's laughable that you think "going with EJ" into 2015 is anything close to acceptable. How much use has Watkins been without a QB? Give WInston another year. He's well on his way. Lots of Whaley white knights said Carr was a nobody for 2 years too.
  18. Whaley has been living off the Hughes trade for years.
  19. Well all negotiations are gives and takes. When compared to the average NFL superstar pending FA, he was the only one to get that clause. With a previous history of suspension. Still unacceptable.
  20. Sure they have, but national guys always get the major ones for all teams, not just the Bills.
  21. No he didn't. You're confusing him and Glenn. Dareus signed in September of 2015. I think it was week 2 or 3.
