  1. Orton supplanted EJ which made him look like Elway by comparison. TT was mediocre, rendered more and more ineffective until he lost his job. He is an odd paragon of how efficiency wins in the NFL. Also I refuse to compare Wilson to Lamar because while they share some commonality, Wilson is the next Brady-tier QB without the rings. What Wilson has done his career and over the last 5 years is remarkable. He will go down as one of the greatest QB’s of all time. I won’t compare anyone to him.
  2. Imagine if we had an offensive coordinator who got credit for the good and bad in equal measure!!!
  3. Let’s hope Lamar doesn’t stop at such lofty heights that Tyrod set.
  4. No, your counterpoint was that the goalline offense only exists for meathead coaches. Including the greatest, most forward thinking coach ever. You lost. Now go get your ***** shinebox.
  5. Daboll turned a guy who threw 16 TD’s at Wyoming into a serviceable NFL QB in two years.
  6. I’m not sure but even doing it once would be stupid because “cOmMoN sEnSe DiCtAtEs YoU sPrEaD tHeM oUt!”
  7. Hey man, Brian Daboll has an econ degree from U of R. Show some respect. the Pats do it all the time btw. Guess BB is just a dinosaur meathead.
  8. I wrote “it’s still extremely early in his career.” Take about six deep breaths home slice.
  9. Tyrod isn’t a starter lol. I’m glad Lamar is playing well. He is clearly the driver of the offense. I only said he needs to sustain it. Russell Wilson did. Lots of other guys didn’t.
  10. I’m pretty sure the defense is almost entirely the same this year, isn’t it?
  11. That was the post I was responding to. I get the sentiment. If we have the numbers, that runs out of the spread on the goalline are more effective than runs from the goalline O, I’d concede.
  12. Your efficiency metric certainly predicted sustained success for Tyrod Taylor. He’s efficient on a beach in LA now.
  13. I just rewatched and it looked like blame for run was pretty well distributed. A play or two where the DL got pushed back pretty good, a play where Edmunds got lost on the cutback and taken out of the play, a play where AP just wasn’t tackled and brought to the ground surrounded by defenders, etc etc.
  14. Wow, this is arguing a goal line offensive formation shouldn’t exist. Gonna need more data than common sense. Because common sense suggests handing it off to your RB 2-3 yards back in shotgun turns a 1 yard run into a 4 yard run.
  15. Average LB size in the NFL in 6’2” and 220. If Edmunds is medium sized, maybe we need to call Brock Osweiler out of retirement and pack on 60 pounds to roam the middle.
  16. If the Bills pay that, they are drunk. I think he’s kinda huge bro. He’s like Gronk’s size at 21.
  17. I mean, there was a point when the defense was like 4-2 in terms of points produced. They were obliterating offenses and scoring off TO’s. And it was the Pats. I think the media coverage was a little over the top but not necessarily unreasonable. The 2015 Broncos D was getting comparisons around a similar time period IIRC. It’s already week 9! The season is past halfway.
