  1. I actually just demonstrated otherwise. I'd say it's likely that Kaep has less to offer as a #2 behind teams with entrenched starters in the NFL at least.
  2. I think the problem most folks are having with this explanatation is that this could apply every time there's a first round QB available at your pick, at least partially.
  3. You know there are many other factors to consider when signing a backup QB? How comfortable they are being #2 behind an entrenched starter, what they offer in the film room and veteran experience, as well as mentor ship. Now I don't know if Kaep is deficient or not in any of those areas. But I'd imagine he wants to start and won't be content as a backup, so half the league won't want him based on that. His experience game planning and executing different schemes and systems is also probably less profound than let's say Cassel, a guy who has bounced around and practiced and played in many different systems and had many different coaches. Backups aren't just QB's 33-64.
  4. Who cares? He sucks. He's a worse version of Taylor, who also has a great ratio. Watch the games. Why is he the only target of this protest blackballing? Didn't a good chunk of the league join him? Why haven't they all lost their jobs to wife beaters?
  5. There's also the difference of Kaepernick sucking. Hundreds of black athletes have made political statements and they haven't been blackballed by the leagues, unless they suck. Why is Kaep specifically being targeted? The Afro?
  6. The owners can do whatever they want.
  7. You can wait for the pie in the sky I guess. I'd take my chances with something real.
  8. So your potential potential is higher than the potential today. Bird in the hand.
  9. Except "potential" is double fold next year, where you're hoping that A. The potential better class does exist and B. The QB prospect we could get will have as much or more potential. Will that first rounder help us much in getting a QB next year? Maybe, but maybe not. Bird in the hand.
  10. How many games did Tyrod, Dareus, Kyle, McCoy, Watkins and Darby win us? Oh. The same amount as Gilmore and Woods. Guess we don't need any of them either.
  11. I assumed that to be your logical conclusion. Can you give examples in the modern NFL of what you consider to be a drafting "mistake" and one that had a poor outcome but was not a "mistake" and contrast them?
  12. Big deal. Why does that even matter? There's a litany of opinions on everything. Why base your worldview on what "some" said?
  13. Basically, as long as you don't make a ridiculous gaffe like Maybin, you can't make a mistake drafting, eh?
  14. This roster is overrated. The defense of 2014 is dead and buried. It ain't coming back with McDermott in 2017.
  15. Fact, transplant will be next in the long line of TBD posters who lose their minds when their mediocre player finally fails. Say hi to Bills Fan 4 Ever for me.
  16. Why would his agent say something that completely contradicts the "no brainer" shorter deal? He's more likely to be wrong because his only evidence of this "practice" is TT. Meanwhile, virtually every other super star in the NFL in their prime has taken 6-7 year deals worth hundreds of millions. I guess it's possible that TT has the best, most cutting edge agent on the planet. I remain skeptical of that version of events.
  17. It's a complete no brainer which is why every superstar in the NFL is on a two or one year deal. Holy smokes people.
  18. Except the defensive stand that gave TT the ball to win the game.
  19. I'm gonna go out on a limb and say we never see 2015 TT production again. He'll never reach those numbers again. Roman/Lynn was the best OC for him.
  20. That's unprovable, but just as plausible as if TT made a handful of more plays against Baltimore and Seattle, we also would have made the playoffs.
  21. We could've won other games. Like Baltimore and Pittsburgh?
  22. I'm not sure what your point is. Suffice it to say that you earlier pointed to Miami's "team" as the reason they made the postseason, but we had better runners and a better defense last year. And, you say, a better QB. So why did we go 7-9 and they made the playoffs? And they had to play Brady twice, not once. I think it may be time to challenge some of your assumptions about Miami's "team" and just how good they were.
