  1. The 2015 offense wasn't the same as the 2014. Did the 2015 offense exceed expectations?
  2. Comp picks. For example, there are probably, maximum, 25 players on the current Bills roster that wouldn't be immediately traded for a third if they could get one for them.
  3. Yes. You're on record 10000 times telling us how the offense EXCEEDED expectations and the defense didn't live up to them in the TT era. But now, the story has changed.
  4. He played for the same OC for 7 games and got benched for the corpse of Peyton Manning. Not sure what you're going for here. Sammy won't get the targets necessary to see 1400 yards in this offense. You can take it to the bank. Sammy wasn't healthy for the final 9 games in 2015. He had a broken foot.
  5. Except Ducasse is trash and we could've easily found other trash depth that didn't cost a third.
  6. WTF? Meanwhile, you had expectations that the 2015 and 2016 defenses would perform like the 2014 defense even though it was a new defense? Are you intentionally contradicting yourself?
  7. Get him! This offense would be loaded with Watkins, Harvin Maclin, Clay, Shady.
  8. But here we are talking about a "run dominant team" that "scored lots of points." Teams that score lots of points are the teams that win shootouts. I'm a little confused about your expectations. After the 2015 campaign, in which the Bills were 12th in points scored and we retained every single starter on that offense, you didn't expect to score a similar amount of points? You thought the 2016 offense was gonna drop to 20th or so in points, because it "wasn't built to score lots of points" Doesn't that by virtue of having an offense score top 12 in points two years in a row make that expectation inherently wrong? Clearly we should expect an offense that scores lots of points because that's what they do and have done. Is your expectation of the 2017 Bills offense to score around 10th or so in points or 20th? Why?
  9. Not sure what you're talking about with regards to the offense. The offense is and was absolutely built to score lots of points, sans QB. Two top 10 OL rounded out with serviceable starters, a top 3 RB, the best backup RB in the NFL, top 5-10 talent at WR with a solid number #2 and #3. What part of that offense isn't supposed to score? We're talking about TT's level of play in the offense. The offense got better because McCoy played better. Not because TT played worse.
  10. Huh? TT was downright bad for a lot of 2016. He went from being a rising star after 2015 to a mediocre starter.
  11. Dennison's statements aside, I think it's likely that we see a lot of designed roll outs and half field side line reads for TT. And sooner or later, defenses will start taking that away. I think we may see a hot start then a sputter.
  12. We hear this with every young QB in town. Invariably, the big "if he plays well, he'll be mad" never comes to pass. Sometimes, deficient players are just deficient. Anyone still think there are "EJ Haters" still or just guys who knew he sucked before everyone else?
  13. I think it's both. Brady targeting you 8 times may be as good as Bortles targeting you 10. But Bortles targeting you 12 times may surpass that.
  14. Perhaps we're speaking past each other. Here's my argument. -Sammy Watkins needs 10 targets a game to reach 1400 yards -10 targets a game average is a feat only achieved by 5 WR's last year -the top WR's in targets per game almost all had franchise QBs, with the exception of Osweiler and Bortles. -thus, I doubt Sammy Watkins will get the 10 targets a game necessary to reach 1400 yards. I think you actually agree with me here.
  15. 2/10 is a larger correlation than 8/10? Huh? I realize the facts don't support your point, but that might be a problem with your point, not the facts.
  16. Coincidentally, those were actually not the only two plays that TT scrambled out of the pocket all season.
  17. Didn't I just demonstrate 8/10 highest targeted receivers last year almost all had franchise QB's or soon-to-be's at the helm?
  18. Orton made a bunch of clutch plays to win games, like the Browns and Vikings. He replaced a disaster at QB with competence. The HC and recievers all wanted him to start for a reason.
  19. This is a Watkins thread my dude. I'm glad they were good for a half of a season together. I'd love to see them do it for a full season. But they haven't. If everyone agrees that Watkins is a great talent, only availability and his QB can be holding him back.
  20. 11 games is 16 and 800 yards is 1400. What a time to be alive folks. A shame that all of 2015 had to be played, not just his hot stretch.
  21. I don't believe he'll get the targets or the quality of targets necessary. Like I said, trade for Phil Rivers and I'd get on board.
