  1. The wonderful thing about Josh is he consistently manages to step up in big moments to ***** victories. It doesn’t matter if he’s struggled all day or been lights out, if the game is close he gives us a chance to win. Even in our losses, it took a tremendous defensive play for us to lose to the Ravens and a long end of game drive/missed FG to lose to the Browns. He’s clutch. No ifs ands or buts. He does need to become more consistent though. It’s a lot easier to win games at the end with a strong defensive performance all night, but if the defense takes a step back, we won’t be in positions to win as often.
  2. Sometimes QB’s play better than Allen did tonight and still win games.
  3. Imagine, “I’m on the fence” about a QB’s success being “not reasonable.”
  4. I want zero part of this. Wait another year for Foster?? Waiting for Zay’s lightbulb was bad enough.
  5. I don’t understand how we aren’t at 8 already. The conference championships effectively serve as the first round. Since the CFB playoff has started, we have not had anything but the top 4 best teams in the country get in. There is no problem to be solved.
  6. Shout out to “The Source” @Kirby Jackson. @NoSaint is in shambles as he has lost the lead as the best poster in Louisiana.
  7. And my contention would be that a lot of the all time great QB’s threw for 300 yards every now and then, and also won quite a bit. And that if I watched Josh Allen destroy a defense for 4 Q’s and threw for over 300 yards, that would be pretty cool.
  8. That’s because some 300 yard passers are bums. We we can all agree a Brian Hoyer blowout loss 300 yard game is not the same as a Patrick Mahomes 300 yard double digit victory.
  9. Lamar is going to get his rushing yards. What needs to be eliminated is the broken play scrambles. If you make him pass on 3rd and longs and flood zones, he’s much less effective.
  10. I mean, you can argue it’s not good, but I provided the cold hard factual truth. You could argue that career passing attempts are associated with good QB’s because of course it is. You could argue career passing TD’s is also associated with good QB’s as well. But you can NOT argue that career 300 yard games IS NOT correlated with good QB’s and that it is NOT correlated with Super Bowl wins, because the numbers are the numbers.
  11. Yep. 3 of those players missed significant games this year as well. The other 2 are old. Guys like Rivers are now old. Even a cursory analysis could prove this “anomaly” to mean nothing.
  12. Good QB’s “have nothing to do with winning.” Interesting. Top 5 QBs in NFL history with the most 300 yards games have 10 Super Bowls between them. Extend it out to the top 20 in 300 yard games and you have 21 Super Bowl wins. Is the lesson over?
  13. Secret to beating LJ will be to make him throw. Especially in a downpour
  14. It for sure doesn’t mean anything, because # of passing attempts is strongly correlated with passing yards, and # of passing attempts is also strongly correlated with being down in games and being down in games is strongly correlated with losses. And now we no longer have the titans of the QB position that would run opposite of that trend like the primes of the Brady’s, Brees’, Manning’s, Rodgers, Rivers and Roethlisbergers. This is not new territory. # of rushing attempts has been correlated with wins for the exact same reason for 50 years.
  15. Historically. But he’s 4-1 as a starter and having a career year not on the Dolphins. Could be coincidence but might not be either.
  16. I’m not sure of any similarities between Tannehill and Allen QB skill sets outside of their ability to run, but Allen has been a far better rusher in the NFL.
