I'd be willing to bet that we would have scored more than 3 points had AJ been in the game over Tyrod. That is - without having been exposed to the offense for any period of time throughout the year and coming into the game cold as a starter. -

It May Be Time To Think Big With The Bills

Our WR are huge. Benamin, Holmes, Streater, Dupre are all over 6'2'." however, are any of them fast? -

Bills sign LB Keenan Robinson, roster at 90
JP's Voice replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I surely hope so. He is the weakest starter on our team and will be a liability if he's asked to play OLB and do anything besides rush the QB. He's terrible at shedding blocks/covering and is old and slow. Hope this guy can start and solidify our defense. -

how did we have enough competent players on offense last year to get to 9-7? Position by position on offense YOY: QB - Likely will have higher YDs, TDs, and TOs. This will not be any worse. RB - Same level of talent if you think that Ivory and Tolbert are equals. I think we get better as Ivory is better than Tolbert WR - Will be better this year than last. A full year of KB, Zay Jones can't be any worse than he was last year and therefore will be equal if not better than last year. Kerley and the rookies are an upgrade to whatever we had in the slot last year TE - Remains the same with Clay and O'Leary LT - Same RT- Same RG - Improved Miller with better scheme fit to his needs C - Same level of talent if Groy starts. Will not see any drop off in Groy vs the extremely average E. Wood from last year LG - Will see a drop off in Richie's departure. Seeing as our defense strongly improved on paper this year, and the very slight change in offensive players. I don't see how we will be extremely out matched in any game. I think the majority of our games will be decided by one score and hopefully we can steal a few here and there. The national media is publishing extremely lazy work with very little considerations for where we were last year. -
My friend and I were discussing times throughout the years that we have been so effected by a moment during a game that we thought we were going to have a heart-attack or stroke. We later realized that we may just need to lay-off the wings and beer, but ultimately determined a few distinct moments: - Stevie drop against Pitt in OT - Stevie/Chandler fumbles against Atlanta in OT - Pass interference call in Jags London game after we took the lead in the fourth What are some moments that you've felt physically ill or like you were going to have a stroke during a game?

Five reasons why the Bills will make the 2018 NFL playoffs
JP's Voice replied to HOUSE's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Great point. At 29th overall last year, we cannot get much worse. Our WRs will be better this year because they simply cannot be any worse than they were last year. Zay Jones won't be worse than he was last year and we added some speed with the rookies. I think the FO is pretty happy with what they have at WR going into camp. The big question now is how much our running game will drop with the loss of Incognito and no viable RG replacement. The loss of E. Wood does nothing to hurt our O-Line as he may be the most overrated Bill of all time. I firmly believe that the passing game will be better this year than last, with a slight drop-off in the running game due to the Incognito departure. How much of an improvement/drop-off will we see? I think it will land us somewhere in the top 25 of total offense. Is that average enough to win 9-10 games? I sure hope so -
Just listened to the Bills Beat with Joe.B and Matthew Fairburn podcast for July 6 and they commented on the fact that the national media is predicting this Bills team to be one of worst in the league, competing for the top pick in the 2019 draft. They go on to predict that the Bills won't be anywhere near the bottom, but that we probably won't be 9-7 again this year. They predicted that we could still have a top 10 pick in next year's draft, but will likely be somewhat close to what we were last year due to our defense and coaching staff. IMO, we will be somewhere in the 6-10, 9-7 range with many games being decided by one score. Defense will be top 10 in league, offense will be top 25 in league, and ST will be top 10 in league. Can't get any worst at QB/WR than we were last year so I am optimistic that this offense will work it out!

Should We Make a Run @ Le'Veon Bell in 2019?
JP's Voice replied to H2o's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
No doubt that he would be productive and a good add on a team that's competing for a championship. Gotta go back to the Adrian Peterson argument. He's the best RB we've seen in 15 years and yet he's never won anything. No matter how good a RB is, he won't win you a championship unless the rest of the team is already good. Seeing that we have some holes on offense, we should plug those holes and wait for a few years before we get a RB to put us over the top. -
Should We Make a Run @ Le'Veon Bell in 2019?
JP's Voice replied to H2o's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Investing a large amount of our cap in an aging RB would be one of those moves that we'd be unhappy about for years. We should invest in the O-Line and WR next year, not RB IMO. -
Cavs, Bills, and Situational Awareness

Cavs, Bills, and Situational Awareness
JP's Voice replied to JP's Voice's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Does this mean there is hope for Zay Jones? The next Eric Moulds? -
I know that last night's game is being discussed in the NBA thread, but watching JR Smith's lack of situational awareness got me thinking about times that the Bills showed good situational awareness, or lack there of in the past. The good: - Fred Jackson not scoring against the Pats to eat the clock and eventually kick a GW FG - Fred Jackson purposely dropping a dump-down @ the end of the game to preserve time and eventually drive down to win game against maybe the Raiders or Vikings? The bad: - Kyle Orton's 3&1 slide behind the LOS to end our drive and kill momentum against Broncos - Tyrod taking the sack to put us out of FG range in playoff game while trying to extend the play, instead of just throwing it away - Our special teams unit being unable to get a FG off at end of half against the Pats because our lineman got into a scuffle. I realize everyone is a Monday morning quarterback, but I have to say that the more I think about it, the bad situational awareness plays stand out more to me than the good ones. What say you?

More wins in 2018, Browns or Bills?
JP's Voice replied to Buffalo_Stampede's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I don't get the notion that the Bills will only win 3 games. Defense improved on paper and offense stayed about the same (loss on O-line and improvement at QB). I think the Bills will be in the 7-10 win range and think the Browns will be in the 6-9 win range. -
Wait until camp when a RB on a contender goes down and a team is desperate for a RB. I think he would be able to get us a 2 or 3 from a team like say Dallas, NYG, JAX, etc. I think the return would be worth it too. Aging RB doesn't serve a purpose for us this year. I would also think that Charles Clay could be a good add to a contender in need of a TE if their starter goes down.

Agree with this. When Groy filled in for EWood, there wasn't any break in the action. There was no mention of Groy on the broadcast, which is a good thing for a center. I think we upgraded at center, but can use Groy's flexibility at guard if need be. I am optimistic that Jordy Mills can improve this year (he can't get much worse, right?)

Charlie Campbell's latest Bills rumors

If we somehow keep 22, and take a CB with that pick rather than using it on a LB (or trading back) and then taking a LB... -
Need to use as many 2018 picks as it takes to go get your QB. Likely 12, 22, two seconds. You keep your 2019 first and second which will likely be a top 10 pick, maybe top 5. Insert QB-needy team that needs to trade up and get their guy next year, and we trade down with them since we already have our guy, obtaining another first and or second rounder. In 2019, we then have a lot of cap space, some talented (hopefully impact starters) from draft and we are ready to compete.
