I don't think Belichek knew that the Seahawks pass play was going to be called. Wilson wasn't even supposed to force it in. He was supposed to throw it away if it was not wide open. What Belichek and the Patriots players knew is that a pass interference call meant nothing so his guys were coached to be overly physical and it resulted in a turnover because Wilson forced it in. Let's not get carried away saying he knows what play the other team is going to run.

I value draft picks as much as everyone else however the talent on our team is in our coach, not our rookie GM who has yet to prove anything. McD won in spite of Beane's roster moves IMO. I don't think you scale back McD's roster to get one extra pick for an unproven GM.

Seriously what about controlling the clock? Belicheat's game plan doing the same to the '90 Bills is in the hall of fame. Why not snap the ball at the last possible second according to the play clock to give them less time to operate? If we try to trade rhythm up tempo possessions with them we are going to get murdered, we always do. Fewer possessions gives them less times to figure out our D and less time to score. Keeping the score low worked for the 90's Giants so why would we not take that chance?

You might as well push for the top ranked defense in yards instead of points while you are at it. Points is all that matters. It's hubris or just plain inexperience for them to think that they can hand pick every single guy on the roster and not have to coach players that were here, even if they weren't "you're guys". On average coaches get 3 to 3.5 years and GMs get 4 to prove they deserve the job, no matter what contract they sign. You can't completely tear down a roster and build it from scratch and expect the talent to mature and succeed in that time frame. These guys should know that no matter how green they are. Outside of safety and one corner spot I don't see any real committed building blocks on this roster and agree almost every position is in need of an overhaul this offseason. Hopefully things become clearer down the stretch.

Unless they test for HGH and other illegal supplements I am not sure hitting him will work outside of the current game.
