GMFB talk Bills draft (how to get QB)

Metro sexual morning football is hardly the place to go for Bills or any other football info. It makes the old Mike and Mike show look hardcore. -
Poll: Who Do We Take With Our First Pick?

I am a Lauletta fan but why is he up there as an option for the FIRSTpick? -
Eagles GM Howie Roseman Quote: Beane Should Read
buffalostu2 replied to Like A Mofo's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
So we have already crowned Beane a genius before he selects one player? I think the tune will change when he hits on only 40% of his picks (like all GMs) and we realize he traded away talent for chance. The best thing Beane has going for him is that he has a great coach. it is foolish to think that there won't be growing pains with a rookie GM -
Keep our picks, draft Kyle Lauletta?
buffalostu2 replied to Gavin in Va Beach's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If you are a non believer in Lauletta review the combine throwing sessions. As far as accuracy and are strength I had him only behind Mayfield. Also he is going go day two so not a late round prospect. Do the research, he is a better prospect than Josh Allen In my perfect world we get Mayfield between picks 6 to 12 if not I would be happy with Lauletta late in the 2nd or 3rd. -
Beane is “Trying Like Hell” To Move Up For a QB
buffalostu2 replied to BuffaloRush's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Is this in case the QB doesn't pan out? Is that overpay? There is a chance the traded picks don't pan out either. I am in the camp of get a QB with one more trade up. But if you have to trade up twice, get it done -
Sal C: Broncos Love Mason Rudolph

Broadway Joe. Also please run this exercise for every QB who was great in the NFL and their school -
So if we were the Giants....
buffalostu2 replied to PrimeTime101's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
That would be insane for us to do but the Giants should ask. These QBs aren't can't miss. Questions on throwing motion, concussions, height and accuracy are too much to give away three first rounders + to move 10 spots. If we were to make this deal it would certainly be because we traded Tyrod and are stuck with McCarron. -

What about when Peterman was in there? -
Beware of a stud LB at 12 Roquan Smith. I know that would drive people batty though

Worst local media commentator on the Bills?
buffalostu2 replied to VeryWeakPassword's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Schoop is the worst by far. I can't believe there are people on this thread calling his show "smart". Wow! -
The pick at 65 is nice but not better than 2-4 more wins next season. The reality is Cap Space does not make plays and even if you have a ton of cap space free agents are hesitant to go to Buffalo and even more so if we post 6 wins next season with McCarron which is my projection. Tyrod was the better bridge because we could continue to build and win games and he could also teach a rookie about hard work which wasn't a question with Tyrod.

Kyle Lauletta (Richmond) the target?
buffalostu2 replied to PIZ's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Leadership major in college. Our coach might like that -
Don't hate me Joe :-) There is a rumor on another board that we are trading for Foles. Wouldn't a MLB at 12 be a good thing then? Albeit Foles is not my first choice

I agree but if you can't get any farther, or the top 4 QBs are gone by 5 or 6. This is a great spot to get our 2nd biggest need

Demario Davis probably available
buffalostu2 replied to BeastMode54's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think this switched to Tahir Whitehead. Here is a great scouting report on him as a free agent, not rookie. I liked him originally but now I don't see him as an upgrade to Humber. http://www.detroitlionspodcast.com/bryce-rossler/2018/01/24/free-agent-linebacker-tahir-whitehead/ -
It may be likely but why is it a given that this move is to get in better position to trade up again for a top QB? 12 is exactly where Georgia Middle Linebacker Roquan Smith is supposed to go and the Bengals were a common spot he was mocked to. We have a defensive coach and MLB is the biggest need behind QB. Smith is also a leader and fits the McDermott player profile. I know we all want a QB but just saying

What is Cordy Glen's trade value?
buffalostu2 replied to Bills Freak's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Good point here, not to mention what if Dawkins gets hurt? Can people envision what would happen there? We have the cap room, have a good player under contract, why move him? For a 4th or 5th? Cap space? Cap space doesn't perform on the field. -
Which Top Draft Prospects Fit McDermott's Model Best
buffalostu2 replied to PolishDave's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The top two here are givens. Edmunds is only 19 so I am not sure about him even though they said he came off mature in interviews. Unfortunately Roquan won't be around but I would not rule out a trade up for him if he lasts until 15 which he shouldn't. A couple others I think you could add. Marcus Davenport DE UTSA Size and pass rush skills for the DE spot, chip on the shoulder Leighton Vander Esch DE Boise State - not my favorite and only a one year starter however he has size, attitude and coverage abilities we are lacking plus character Baker Mayfield if they get past his immature mistakes, he has been described as a worker and a grinder which fits the model.
