  1. because he's so much better than anything else we have.
  2. I agree. It's not fun, but I think Powell is better at this point and will probably cost less.
  3. Rex never had a RB as good as McCoy for "ground and pound."
  4. not sure he's affordable, but it sure would be nice to add him at WR to go with Watkins and Woods.
  5. Love this trade. Lots of solid linebackers can be had through free agency. Rex will have the defense in shape regardless. Now we have a truly elite running threat. EDIT: I am assuming they bring back Hughes when I say this.
  6. I love how much media bashing goes on here, followed by people demanding that a well sourced rumor be yanked from the board because ESPN hasn't given its imprimatur yet.
  7. thank you. being a good kid who works hard entitles you to absolutely nothing. The last two times the Bills tried to develop a young QB (Losman and Edwards) they stuck with both of them for way too long, well after it was clear they weren't going to succeed. I'm glad to see that this has likely changed.
  8. Leroi said training camp battle would happen. I'm not especially excited about the QBs but don't exactly see this as a travesty.
  9. I'd argue locker has shown more than EJ and they both had problems staying healthy. Plus keep in mind that trying again in the draft is part of the plan.
  10. So this is worse than when they won 22 games in 4 years?
  11. yes, but will he survive the other 8 plays he's out there?
  12. I think next year we'll have much more ammo to go get that guy. But, I don't know anything. I promise.
  13. For where this team is, I want someone consistently mediocre. I think this team can win 11 games with Hoyer at QB. Flame away.
  14. Good thing he didn't come. Team would have lost anyway and it would have been yet another punchline at our expense.
  15. I'd say most Bills fans would sign for a record like that.
  16. It's really amazing how many people rush to belittle new threads that get started here.
  17. Assuming McCown does sign, taking a gamble on Ryan Mallett makes a lot more sense, knowing there's at least a competent vet around if things don't work out.
  18. He probably doesn't care. His dogfighting crimes also left him hugely in debt and he's been working to pay that money off. He's clearly sticking around just for a paycheck.
  19. take a qb every single year in the draft until you find a good one. as for this year? run the ball 40 times a game.
  20. Maybe it's different because he got cut? I was wondering too.
  21. also on the bright side, no FA besides McCow(a)n can even say they had a good year in 2013.
  22. Exactly. We need more quarterbacks, not just a starter. I hope he's not the starter but would love to have him as the backup.
  23. Yeah I'm not interested in Peyton Manning. Let's go with EJ Manuel or perhaps Craig Nall instead.
  24. I am not set on him, but do believe we can do much worse. Just say no to RG3
