  1. Jeff Tuel. Worst NFL player I've seen in 25 years of watching.
  2. Don't have access to full rankings so not sure. I assume much better than that, though.
  3. "Through four 2014 games,Pro Football Focus has graded Byrd 65th of 76 qualifying safeties." http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2014/10/03/jairus-byrd-suffers-season-ending-knee-injury/
  4. His season: 1 turnover forced, one team victory with him on the field, 2 surgeries. $28 million guaranteed. Kiko is on a rookie contract and gave his team great production. Byrd hasn't given the Saints squat. What does "once soever" mean?
  5. It's his second surgery since he signed in NO. Hard to see how he's worth the huge contract now.
  6. That sort of comment doesn't exactly help our karma out.
  7. Out for season! I guess we can now say passing on Byrd was a good move. Ian Rapoport ‏@RapSheet 7s7 seconds ago Not what that defense needed RT @TheSaintsBeat: Safety Jairus Byrd tore his lateral meniscus and will go on season ending IR, per Payton.
  8. Brees is facing TB in the dome. Bold call. I hope you're right.
  9. TBD favorite Justin Bieber was born in 1994
  10. Grantland article has a number of factual errors in it (Rob Jihnson, Leodis McKelvin's injury that kept him out to start the regular season etc.)
  11. Tim Twentyman @ttwentyman · now Tate looked fine by the way. Running routes and couldn't tell he had injury. Bell was at practice for the first time (not participating) Well, that's a very sound idea on the Lions part. Better rest Johnson now to have him ready to face NE and Miami.
  12. Good for him. Glad he's on the bench but he seems to be handling himself well.
  13. It's going to be hard for Detroit to put 8 in the box based on what I saw in this video. Looks like Orton won't have much trouble identifying and hitting the hot read.
  14. He looks just fine to me. Best QB we've had in a long time (not saying much obviously).
  15. Between tricking Jerrah into paying his bonus money, signing a lucrative new contract after getting to skip training camp, and winding up with the starting job before week 5, I'm starting to think Orton is a pretty smart guy. At the very least he's got a good agent.
  16. EJ staring down receivers in the Red Zone? That would never happen.
  17. So JW was on his job, as usual.
  18. Turns out you didn't need to read between the lines: here's just one example. There are many others. Sorry for format. Posted by john wawrow on 25 August 2014 - 01:23 PM in The Stadium Wall PromoTheRobot, on 25 August 2014 - 01:19 PM, said: I agree EJ is inconsistent, but I'm trying to breakdown why. What I and others saw were plays that broke down at the line of scrimmage which impacted a relatively inexperienced QB. When people say "EJ sucks" the implication that all is well but for EJ. That nothing that the other 10 players do matters because everything is ultimately EJ's responsibility. Chandler slips and falls? EJ's fault. CJ fumbles after a catch? EJ's fault. Unblocked rushers tipping passes? EJ's fault. John, you've covered the Bills long enough to know better. Are you telling us the rest of the offense played great Saturday? what i'm suggesting is however poorly the offense played in the first half on Saturday, there was a distinct lack of ownership for the troubles continuing to come from the supposed leader, whether it was post-game or in-game (when Fred Jackson huddled up the offense on the sideline to try to inspire them). there seems to be no clear accountability coming from that position, and it's raising further questions in regards to whether EJ can ever develop into a starter. jw
  19. I don't see that on his page. Could you post it? Could he have deleted it? EDIT: never mind. Vic Carucci @viccarucci · 21h21 hours ago @Alindz99 @JoeBuscaglia Not yet. Hearing K. Williams could miss multiple games.
  20. You had to read between the lines, but his take on the quarterback situation was posted here in August and seems quite prescient in hindsight.
  21. So? Like I said. This will be completely forgotten by Sunday.
  22. He's simply pointing out the obvious. This will be a non issue by the first time Orton completes a pass more than 10 yards down the field.
  23. Well, that's not dramatic or anything.
  24. And to think 80% of people here said they wanted EJ over Orton after the Chargers game.
  25. Wins against Matt Millen teams don't count. 0-0.
