  1. I agree, some songs just seem to touch your soul. But I would trade all 5 songs for a functional satellite phone. 😊
  2. It goes the other way in the southern hemisphere I think. That’s where the idea for Benjamin Button came from, or so I heard. .
  3. Is there a Hall of Longevity? He’s a lock for that. He signed with the Bills in 2004. Remember 2004? That was a long time ago. He’s got a job with the Seahawks, so good for him. https://www.nbcsports.com/nfl/profootballtalk/rumor-mill/news/jason-peters-to-retire-take-job-in-seahawks-front-office .
  4. Who knew? 🤷‍♂️
  5. Come on now, everyone needs a hobby.
  6. Debilitating? For whom? The fans or the players? I know I can carry on if we don’t win the Super Bowl this year. Everything short of that is a playoff loss. The players are professional athletes, being paid millions. Yes, they will be disappointed, but I don’t see debilitated. I see players laughing and hugging after a loss, while some fans are too emotional for that, even more than the players.
  7. Congrats on remembering the sarcasm notice! Without that you’d have countless people liking your post. 😊
  8. OK, there you put out a cost you are willing to pay. I have no problem with that. But “all in” has to have a limit on the cost. For the record, I’d love Higgins and Garrett. I don’t see it happening (because of the costs), but it sure would be fun to watch! .
  9. There are no guarantees you will win a Super Bowl. We’re reasonably close. I think we are good enough with a few tweaks. Are you good with another AFCCG and then sucking for a few years? Or would you like to remain on the doorstep rather than be out on the street? “All in” is not a reasonable term. At some point it is too expensive. Will you give up our entire 2025 draft, and our first in ‘26? A reasonable person can’t say YES, without knowing what they are agreeing to.
  10. OK, maybe I’m not going to Dublin. That’s good info. I’d love to see Madrid as well, but I’m not sure if I could keep up. We were in Barcelona a few years back and the lady who ran the hotel restaurant was telling me Barcelona is fine, but if you want to go to dinner after midnight your options were limited. She preferred Madrid where everything was still open at 2AM for dinner.
  11. Roger Goodell says you don’t make enough difference in the ratings to be anything other than a little collateral damage. RIP. I hate the international games, but I’d love to see Dublin, so…..
  12. I think you bolded the wrong part. Here is the point: ”and if you are for it now you can’t change your mind if he gets hurt. That is my point. I’ve seen this crowd in action. It’s not always rational thoughts, and too often unwarranted emotional reactions.”
  13. Football, at its root, is a brute game, imo. Win the lines, win the game. I don’t love a maul slowly moving like a glacier, and I’m sure the NFL doesn’t want to see it evolve to that, so I expect some short whistles or other modifications.
  14. You need special equipment for that.
  15. ..…and maybe that’s a great thing. Add in the coaching additions, and maybe we are evolving. As I’ve been saying, I want people to get better over time. We are getting a little different feel this offseason. .
  16. Forrest? Is that you? Great coaches know that every player is a different person with different personalities and motivational points. You push different people in different ways, and that’s not just in football, that’s in life. I like Keon’s puffy coat, but I’ve never met the man. I hope they know how to best manage his growth.
  17. You lost me early, and I think you may have missed my point. Yes, any one guy can get hurt. It’s very unlikely that your 1st and second round picks this year, and your first NEXT year, will ALL tear their ACL’s. It’s a lot of eggs in one basket, and if you are for it now you can’t change your mind if he gets hurt. That is my point. I’ve seen this crowd in action. It’s not always rational thoughts, and too often unwarranted emotional reactions. As I have said repeatedly, how can you be for or against anything without knowing the cost? That is irrational. I’m all in, at a reasonable cost. I’m not Herschel Walker stupid.
  18. I agree there were some bad whiffs early, but every team has misses and it’s easier to miss when you draft around 30. Despite that, I really like drafting in the 30’s because it means we did well. We need to get some difference makers early, we are due.
  19. I agree, but I just know we will have people who will be for it now, then turn on Beane if there is a setback. THAT is what ticks me off, unreasonable complaining.
  20. I think Hamlin is a nice guy and a great story, but he’s small and slow and I think they know we need better coverage back there. Time will tell!
  21. I wish there was an easy way to track people’s opinions here. If you are pro-trade, you should not be allowed to complain if/when he gets hurt. Know that there is an element of chance here, and it could result in a SB, but he could also end up like Von…..a big swing that ended up on IR. Some people here will be for the signing now but will be critical of the Bills if it goes sideways. You can’t have it both ways. For the record, I’d love Garrett if the price is close to reasonable.
  22. I think Rapp and Bishop are both more in the box safeties and we need a guy to play center field back there. Let Rapp and Bishop battle it out for SS and keep the other for depth. We KNOW we will need quality depth (cap be damned), a lesson learned too many times the hard way. Then find someone with the ability to fly around in coverage a bit better. Is this the guy? I have absolutely no idea.
  23. It is unconscionable that the NFL allows some of these crappy fields. Von said Tottenham was the worst field he had ever played on. I wish the NFLPA would step in and insist on better fields for player safety. Goodell is only afraid of losing big lawsuits, NOT player safety. You know how I know that? We just keep hearing about the terrible condition of some of these fields, yet the players are forced to play on them.
  24. I’m generally a pepperoni guy, but I will add different toppings based upon which joint I’m at. They each have their own go-to stuff for me. One place is pepperoni and very thinly sliced Roma tomatoes. Another has the perfectly blended fennel sausage with the spice level just right. Another place has an owner from Grand Island and they have thinly sliced red onions that have a beautiful sweetness to them when cooked. Toppings vary, like all pepperoni is not the same. The big flat ones and the little cup and char ones may as well be two different things. There are very few things I will not eat on a pizza. My son used to piss me off (intentionally, I believe) by getting everything available on a pizza. He’d get a Hawaiian pizza and add BBQ chicken, jalapeños and anything else they had to load it up with, all at once. That was some disgusting stuff!
  25. You were collateral damage….I thought that was somebody else’s desk. Oops! 🤷‍♂️
