  1. I bet he’s a Maytag repairman!
  2. We should have some kind of decathlon at the Combine. Make them change a tire, make a call on a rotary phone, fold a map and stuff like that! I think that would be more fun than the Pro Bowl crap! 😊 Damn, you beat me to it!
  3. It’s not like a date to a middle school dance and your girl didn’t show up. There is no chance he just fails to show up some day and we are left wondering why. He certainly could. How realistic do you think that possibility is? Can you put a number on it? I’d say it’s less than 5% thru his prime. I can’t spend too much time worrying about that or the possibility that the asteroid with a 2.6% chance of hitting the earth is ever going to ruin my day.
  4. Maybe this is the simplest way to explain how I feel……I’d rather have a chance at a Super Bowl every year than a distant memory of a Super Bowl.
  5. As much of a Bills fan as I am, some trophy they won 20 years ago gives me no great joy today. It would be nice, but I guess I live more in the present than that. I enjoyed last season very much….right up until the end. Not winning a trophy does not take away the fun I had this season, or the times spent here and elsewhere with family and friends sharing our Bills thoughts. But it would be mighty boring if we were all the same, so I respect your opinion. Oh, and to say nobody will remember Josh is silly. Do they remember Barry Sanders and OJ? Greatness is greatness, and it is not forgotten.
  6. I keep seeing how long people were together before getting married, and I realize that is much more my style. I take my time making decisions. I am somewhat slow to act, generally. However, we were engaged only about 6 months after we met and married about 6-7 months after that. It was clear that we would be together, and my wife’s father had been battling cancer. He was struggling with his chemo, and she wanted him to be able to walk her down the aisle. We were on a mission to get things done properly while we could. My FIL did walk her down the aisle and rebounded after our wedding. He lived another 8 years, but I have zero regrets over acting as quickly as we did. Having that impetus to act was a blessing. EDIT: If I had done things at my natural pace, I might have found a way to screw this up. The Universe was protecting me! 😂 .
  7. I guess that’s one way we are different, and that’s ok.
  8. Having a Super Bowl victory 15 years ago would not have made me feel any better if we were a 7 win team last year.
  9. His best chance to win a championship is to leave? Does the destination matter? Or are you just mad? .
  10. Somehow I had never seen that. Thx. [EDIT: But what else is he going to say?] Now, let’s just hope it works! Or maybe some 5th round flyer we take turns into a Pro Bowler. You need luck in games, but you also need luck in drafts. .
  11. Wait, what exactly is this text we are talking about?
  12. It’s starting to look like an absolute bargain! 😂
  13. It took the third season of Reacher coming out for me to realize I hadn’t watched season 2. It’s like finding a $20 bill in your pocket in college!
  14. Please don’t be defensive, but you seem to be defensive. 😊
  15. As much as I dislike the idea of the international games, it would be a fantastic excuse to get to see Dublin. The wife would support that whether she could join me or not.
  16. How many convictions did that lead to?
  17. I hope he causes someone to consider posting that Bass-O-Matic commercial. I really don’t want to see it again, I just want him to be good enough to warrant it. Who am I kidding, it makes me laugh.
  18. I’m just praying we are due for some home runs to pop out at us.
  19. Those back to back 2-14 years were the first two years of my marriage. My wife asked “Why do you do this to yourself?” 😂 Now she wears a shirt that says Married Into This. She’s a great sport!
  20. We can have Keon take out to buy a big yellow puffy coat this summer when they are on sale. Problem solved! I’ll give him credit, he knows what he likes, and it’s NOT cold weather.
  21. Hey now! This is a family kind of place!
  22. “Total”? How many wives does a that entail? My parents worked with a couple who were married and divorced three times. He was leaving on a business trip and told her to be out of the house when he returned. There were two guns in the house, and she emptied both of them into him. There was a Dateline type of segment about Donna going off to prison. Charming couple. As I’ve mentioned, we had our 40th anniversary last Sunday. It’s just so hard to believe it’s been that many years.
  23. Either that or a proctologist. Yeah, piano it is! 😊
