I will definitely give you that in that particular game. Also, if Kelly had not been so stubborn and just handed off to Thurman, as they were daring him to do, the Bills win that game. One simple, sweeping view of the world does not cover everything. It’s not one thing, it’s a LOT of things, with some being more important than others.

Trent Dilfer, Brad Johnson, Jim Plunkett, Nick Foles, Joe Flacco, Doug Williams, Mark Rypien, and Jeff Hostetler, among others, all won SB’s. Brady is clearly the anomaly. I’d prefer our odds with a great QB, but all credit for winning does not go to the QB. There are countless other factors. It’s pretty simple, so I don’t know why you seem compelled to argue that, other than the obvious. I don’t see much point in pursuing this line of discussion.

2025 U.S. Open - **update Jessica Pegula (4 seed) now in semifinals

We’ve come a long way from “she’s just a little rich girl with a hobby”! I’m incredibly impressed by her and Emma Navarro. With a billionaire father, it would be very easy to mail it in and just live the good life. Their success demonstrates a level of character that I have to appreciate. -
The simplest answer is that it’s complicated and a team sport. Joe Montana would have been dog food on a bad team. A QB is indeed a huge thing, but it’s not the only thing. Some people take that too far, imo. Trent Dilfer has a SB ring. It’s not a binary situation.

I think this is overly simplistic, and it’s unfair to everyone. A football team is more than a QB. Yes, it is the most important position in sports, but a team is more than that. McD started to build a culture before Josh arrived. You need a good QB to run deep into the playoffs, but it takes more than a QB to build a culture. I think giving all the credit for the Bills success to Josh (and all the blame to McD and Beane) is shortsighted and lazy. He’s the best player in the game for my money, and we wouldn’t be where we are without him, but he’s not the only thing we have going for us. Nothing is ever that simple.

Dawson Knox is our “traditional tight end”. He’s a nice mix of blocker and pass catcher, an old fashioned TE. Kincaid is more of a pass catcher, Hawes is almost exclusively a blocker (but adds versatility to our Big package) and Latu is 6’6” with long arms. We have something for every occasion, but Knox is the guy who can do it all. We can be too hard on our own, and too quick to love players on other teams.

Stadium Construction Discussion (No PSL/Seat selection posts)

I think they might be on to our plan to ***** those things in the middle of the night. They would make a great petting zoo in my back yard! -
Were they afraid of losing him in the Mouse Parade at the end of the shift? These are things we’ll probably never know.

But, other than that……how do you enjoy it?

Taylor Townsend is #1 in women’s doubles but outside the top 100 in singles….until the next rankings come out. She just played a 25+ minute tiebreak and lost in the second after an easy 6-1 first set. I’m fascinated by her and her story. She trains at the park I go to with a phone/tablet on a tripod aimed at her, and she hires a hitting partner (who is amazing!). It’s a FaceTime session with her coach on the tripod who talks with her periodically. Sometimes she will just stand and talk with the coach for long stretches with nothing for the hitting pro to do. Even when she’s hitting it’s not always high rep hitting, it’s very deliberate with each ball. My buddy has been known to get to hit with the hitting pro after particularly light sessions when he wants to break a sweat. This is not IMG Academy or a fancy club, it’s the hardcourts at the park. She has a little boy who will tell her after a loss “that’s alright, Mommy, do you want to play dinosaurs?” It puts things in perspective. -
Why did I fear that that might lead me to Peter Pan? I think I need games to start…..

She’s playing in the US Open from NYC, and we all know there is only one NFL team in New York!!! She looked solid today, in firm control. Like the Bills, she is indeed good enough to win it all as the #4 seed. She just needs a few things to bounce right for her. . -
McD had TWO years worth of wins last season while masterfully losing the finale last year to “only” have 13 wins…..and some people are just waiting to pounce.

I don’t know about the rest of you, but I’m still pretty hot under the collar about our 4th round pick in 2011. I am almoooost so done with this team!

Let’s not kid ourselves….I don’t think there is any way the scorn holds off until Monday. We won’t make it until half time. We could win by 20, and there will still be some complaints. But yes, it can be very entertaining!

I guess it’s OK, if the Ohio State University can play in the Big 10.

I think I saw that episode. I mean, it looks familiar… -
Of course not everybody. I personally go for the bees.

Things at the Dollar Tree and Dollar general should all have the same price….a dollar. It’s not “A Buck and Change”.

Do you argue with the cashier over the extra 50 cents every time?

I suppose his craw is better than some other options. 🤷♂️

I’d rather be robbed than photographed in my Batman PJ’s. It was a difficult decision, but your instincts kick in when you need them most. I just stayed quiet under the covers. Nobody wants the burglar running around talking about their Batman PJ’s. . -
The Raiders have another of the classic uniforms of the NFL. They shouldn’t mess with that either. That makes me think, between the Bills, Raiders and Chargers the old AFL brought some of the greatest uniforms to the NFL table. I’d throw in the 49’ers from the old NFL to round out my top four. These alternates are how we got the Pittsburgh Bumblebees. I wish they would just stop with this crap.
