I try to do one home game and one road game a year. I have yet to see anything that rivals a Bills game live in Orchard Park. I’ve not been to every venue, but I know we hold up very well against anyone. When my boys turned 16 I took them from Florida to The Ralph as a rite of passage. I would not have done that in Cincinnati or most NFL cities. That tells you something. Well, good for you. I don’t like stupid risks, and I try not to invest emotionally. You’ve got to be in it to win it. Would you like to be a Bengals fan right now? Are they still basking in the warmth of that lightning-in-a-bottle SB appearance a few years ago? (They lost, remember?) I have a buddy with season tix to the Bengals and he’s having a hard time unloading his seats. That’s not my personal preference, but to each their own.

It’s true, we don’t win every game. I have no problems with the way this game ended. Something could have gone wrong with each scenario. As has been pointed out repeatedly, the odds of a win were very similar regardless of the path chosen. If you want to insist he took the wrong path, I’ll keep reminding you we won this game. The pooch punt could have been blocked or returned for a TD. Nothing is perfect in life. I’m not so emotionally stuck on something that happened 5 years ago that I can’t evaluate what we just witnessed this weekend. Nobody is perfect, but I’m willing to give credit where it is due.

But he has some rings, and some few people are infatuated with that. Guess what, if McD had a ring or two, they would still be complaining just the same, but they’d lose that handy arguing point they enjoy so much. That is as obvious as the sun coming up each morning.
