  1. Haven’t we been saying we need difference makers? Guys who can make a play out of nowhere? So sure, let’s trade ours and pray we can get something almost as good with the pick. I think we can find something much more reasonable than his initial ask. That’s just how it works. I hope they can find some ground in the middle.
  2. I assure you, that was NOT my plane yesterday. I might be sad to land in that thing!
  3. When we lived in South Carolina the best thing we could say about or educational system was “Well, at least we’re not Mississippi!”
  4. I’m 6’1” and flew home in coach yesterday. My knees were directly up against the seat in front of me. I don’t know how these giants can even squeeze into a coach seat. That’s just not right. .
  5. He’s blaming the dog, I think. The poor dog can’t even defend himself. Didn’t they have complaints about guys sharing hotel rooms last year? Older facilities can be difficult to fix, but this travel stuff seems fairly simple. Hopefully the low score this year is primarily due to being forced to use the Niagara Falls airport as mentioned above. Don’t go cheap on travel. .
  6. Well done, if you are “those guys” you are much more anonymous. 👍
  7. I agree, some songs just seem to touch your soul. But I would trade all 5 songs for a functional satellite phone. 😊
  8. It goes the other way in the southern hemisphere I think. That’s where the idea for Benjamin Button came from, or so I heard. .
  9. Is there a Hall of Longevity? He’s a lock for that. He signed with the Bills in 2004. Remember 2004? That was a long time ago. He’s got a job with the Seahawks, so good for him. https://www.nbcsports.com/nfl/profootballtalk/rumor-mill/news/jason-peters-to-retire-take-job-in-seahawks-front-office .
  10. Who knew? 🤷‍♂️
  11. Come on now, everyone needs a hobby.
  12. Debilitating? For whom? The fans or the players? I know I can carry on if we don’t win the Super Bowl this year. Everything short of that is a playoff loss. The players are professional athletes, being paid millions. Yes, they will be disappointed, but I don’t see debilitated. I see players laughing and hugging after a loss, while some fans are too emotional for that, even more than the players.
  13. Congrats on remembering the sarcasm notice! Without that you’d have countless people liking your post. 😊
  14. OK, there you put out a cost you are willing to pay. I have no problem with that. But “all in” has to have a limit on the cost. For the record, I’d love Higgins and Garrett. I don’t see it happening (because of the costs), but it sure would be fun to watch! .
  15. There are no guarantees you will win a Super Bowl. We’re reasonably close. I think we are good enough with a few tweaks. Are you good with another AFCCG and then sucking for a few years? Or would you like to remain on the doorstep rather than be out on the street? “All in” is not a reasonable term. At some point it is too expensive. Will you give up our entire 2025 draft, and our first in ‘26? A reasonable person can’t say YES, without knowing what they are agreeing to.
  16. OK, maybe I’m not going to Dublin. That’s good info. I’d love to see Madrid as well, but I’m not sure if I could keep up. We were in Barcelona a few years back and the lady who ran the hotel restaurant was telling me Barcelona is fine, but if you want to go to dinner after midnight your options were limited. She preferred Madrid where everything was still open at 2AM for dinner.
  17. Roger Goodell says you don’t make enough difference in the ratings to be anything other than a little collateral damage. RIP. I hate the international games, but I’d love to see Dublin, so…..
  18. I think you bolded the wrong part. Here is the point: ”and if you are for it now you can’t change your mind if he gets hurt. That is my point. I’ve seen this crowd in action. It’s not always rational thoughts, and too often unwarranted emotional reactions.”
  19. Football, at its root, is a brute game, imo. Win the lines, win the game. I don’t love a maul slowly moving like a glacier, and I’m sure the NFL doesn’t want to see it evolve to that, so I expect some short whistles or other modifications.
  20. You need special equipment for that.
  21. ..…and maybe that’s a great thing. Add in the coaching additions, and maybe we are evolving. As I’ve been saying, I want people to get better over time. We are getting a little different feel this offseason. .
  22. Forrest? Is that you? Great coaches know that every player is a different person with different personalities and motivational points. You push different people in different ways, and that’s not just in football, that’s in life. I like Keon’s puffy coat, but I’ve never met the man. I hope they know how to best manage his growth.
  23. You lost me early, and I think you may have missed my point. Yes, any one guy can get hurt. It’s very unlikely that your 1st and second round picks this year, and your first NEXT year, will ALL tear their ACL’s. It’s a lot of eggs in one basket, and if you are for it now you can’t change your mind if he gets hurt. That is my point. I’ve seen this crowd in action. It’s not always rational thoughts, and too often unwarranted emotional reactions. As I have said repeatedly, how can you be for or against anything without knowing the cost? That is irrational. I’m all in, at a reasonable cost. I’m not Herschel Walker stupid.
  24. I agree there were some bad whiffs early, but every team has misses and it’s easier to miss when you draft around 30. Despite that, I really like drafting in the 30’s because it means we did well. We need to get some difference makers early, we are due.
  25. I agree, but I just know we will have people who will be for it now, then turn on Beane if there is a setback. THAT is what ticks me off, unreasonable complaining.
