  1. How about leading the league in interceptions with 15, more than double the league average. Is that real enough for you? I’d rather have the ball back than get a 7 yards sack. .
  2. I was at that one too! The two Stone’s shows I saw when I was young were a LOT better than the one I saw when I was older, and they were ancient. Not shocking, I know.
  3. I don’t study official NFL stats, I watch football games. 🤷‍♀️
  4. Hey now! Let’s not go putting facts in here! Some people have made up their minds already!
  5. You completely missed my point. I have no problem with our defense. They are playing AMAZING football. I love them! I have a problem with the use of the word “legendary” after one half of one season (as I clearly pointed out above). I’m think some (a few) people are pointing to negatives, with some valid points, but also some just inherently negative people. I’m not one of them. In fact, I’m often accused of being the opposite. I think most people, like myself, just object to the hyperbole that is the use of the word “legendary”. Nine games does not make a football legend.
  6. “Legends” are not built in one half of one season. But they are pretty dan good, and that makes me happy! This is not the Roman Empire where you can look back midway thru and confidently say “this is legit!” Time will tell.
  7. Praying he’s back by the Thanksgiving game or I just might be a foul host to a house full of people. I’m glad I was alone for that Jacksonville game, though I’m sure the neighbors heard me at times!
  8. Wonder if he’ll be available when we play the Saints on a short week? He sure was missed against the (then) one win Jags. .
  9. That’s SO weird! I’m wearing the same outfit.
  10. I mentioned during the game thread how loud the roar of the crowd was in NJ….when something happened that was good for THE BILLS! I’ve attended a bunch of road games and always love seeing the sea of blue, but I don’t remember HEARING them like that on TV. I don’t recall the exact play, but that’s something I’m going to pay closer attention to in the future. Side note: at the Nashville game this year I was surprised by how LOUD the Titans fans were considering how many fans we clearly had there. But then I noticed the people in the row behind us in Bills gear were screaming at the top of their lungs while we were on offense. WTF? They just thought making noise was the point. We had to have a talk. A lot of people loved the idea of a trip to Nashville more than they understood football. Ugh…..
  11. First ever live concert was a band called The Rolling Stones (you may have heard of them, kind of a big deal back then), in a little place called Rich Stadium in August of 1975. I was 15 years old. They had bedsheets hanging from the upper bowl with menus for what drugs they were selling in that particular location. I thought I had stepped through the looking glass……. That was my first time seeing the Stones, and by far the best. There is always a special place for your first, and that goes for concerts too. I bet some of you were there too! .
  12. Belichick coached teams just get better as the season goes on, in general. A buddy in the Boston area is annoyed that so many are talking Super Bowl already. They are a formidable opponent, but that is annoying arrogance, and I’m tired of the media adoration. This is not the post-Brady tire fire we had hoped for. Belichick will be 70 next season, so it can’t last forever. As long as we’re talking over-hyped, at least the Cowboys are good this year, because the media never stops talking about them regardless of what kind of team they are fielding. THAT is annoying! .
  13. This is not meant with any offense, but I’m guessing you are on the younger side of things. Do you even have any idea who Butch Byrd is? I could go on, and on, and on, but I think that makes the point.
  14. BUT, we may lose this Sunday! Why do you make me work so hard to fend off all jinxes? Did you not see the Jacksonville game? ANY GIVEN SUNDAY! It still applies, and we have a healthy respect for ALL of our opponents! Lordy, I hope that was enough…….
  15. Slight edit: They probably want to learn something about defense before they play anyone again.
  16. What are you talking about? I’m putting my retirement fund into this! 😂
  17. At least we didn’t beat an NFC team. We all know what a terrible disaster that can be! It’s a win. Now let’s go get the next one. The last game, whether it be a win or loss, doesn’t prove anything in terms of the next game. Just look at the last few weeks.
  18. Congrats on losing the 60 lbs and the other general improvements. Losing that weight alone has to make a huge improvement in your quality of life! I always think of the Valerie Bertinelli commercials where she holds up a 12-14 lb bowling ball, and how much better would your body/joints feel if you didn’t have to carry that around every day?
  19. Either way, after many years of earning enormous NFL paychecks, you have to be “Travis Henry Stupid” to be driving around with 3.5 lbs of weed. The fact that it was broken down into bags and he was armed screams “I’m a dealer!” The funny part was him trying to sell “I left my medical marijuana card at home”. He should try standup when he gets out. 😂 OK, I think you’re right. I put them both in the same boat, in my mind. The guys ESPN and the others will hire to be the face of their franchise has always surprised me. I FULLY believe in second chances, but Ray Lewis and the others, in MY mind, needed some more time in the shadows before being front and center. Just my opinion there. There are better options out there to represent you.
  20. Michael Irvin would also suggest having a fall guy with you at all times. He would know…… “I was just holding the crack pipe for a friend who had a problem…..”
  21. The bit where we use hindsight to find some guy in the draft who turned out well (in this case with minimal time to properly evaluate either player) to point out we should have taken another player is old and tiresome. You name the year, and I’ll point out where every single team should have taken someone else. That’s shooting fish in a barrel. The FO is building a roster, not just picking players. I fully agree we need to upgrade the interior OL, but I won’t resort to “what if’s” and calling them out. I’d say the FO is doing a fine job of building a strong, deep roster. There will be hits and misses, like every team, but you just have to have a better batting average than the rest of the league.
  22. Saw them on a warm summer evening at the Chastain Park Amphitheater in Atlanta a few years back. Great venue and loved the show. We took our son, then in his early 20’s. When asked how he was enjoying the show he responded “it’s like elevator music, but without the air conditioning.” 😡 We still love him, despite that moment. I saw The Who in Cincinnati during college. That was a very bad night, if you know what I mean. People died. I used to enjoy their music, as evidenced by spending precious beer money on tickets, but to this day I generally change the station if they come on. I’m not sure if my taste has changed, or it’s something else. .
  23. Would not be surprised if he thinks of it in the ice bath too! I don’t know who that was on, but I know I let out a loud word I will not type here and jumped out of my chair. I think Josh was the ONLY one who didn’t see it coming. Glad he’s OK and managed not to fumble!
  24. I was surprised Josh didn’t see him, and unsure of what Breida’s responsibility was there. What I know for sure was my neighbors had to hear me as that went down. At times like that you want a Paul Bunyan playing QB for you! OUCH!
  25. What we are apparently complaining about is quality depth. Your #2 is my favorite. I like the idea of more speed in the backfield, but wasn’t it Breida who spit the ball forward during a nice run yesterday? I know they all fumble at times, but the coaches are there all day, every day. I love Gabe Davis’ potential, and I’m sure he’ll get his opportunities when the older guys move on. If there is any one area to complain about, it’s the OL, but that didn’t make the list. We have real issues there that are more serious than “quality depth, who gets snaps?” We have some starters there who should be depth players. I’ll trust their judgment on these calls. Perfect? I’m sure that’s not the case, but who is? We’ll never know what we don’t know, or how it might have gone if another path was taken.
