  1. I agree, but I pay less attention to announcers than most people. The only one I really despise is a certain Booger who is rarely correct and staunchly defended the crack back block penalty call against the Bills in the playoffs. Yes, the same call the NFL later apologized for. .
  2. What this tells ME is, we should be ground breakers and shock them by punting on THIRD down. They will never see THAT coming! @BringBackFlutie might agree.
  3. A good cause is a good cause. I, for one, harbor no resentment toward people who are successful and wealthy in life. In fact, I’d like to be wealthy myself one day! Do NOT hate me when I make it in life! If you don’t want to participate, that’s fine. But no need to be critical. Just walk away and have a nice night.
  4. THIS! Beware! The surge rates can be ridiculous. We tried to Uber home from a restaurant at the same time a Braves game was letting out a few miles away. It’s barely 1.5 miles and should have been about $5, but with the surge rates it was more like $40. I wanted to walk it because it was so aggravating, but the wife nixed that (and I did what I was told, of course ). Also, not to frighten anyone, but Uber has been sketchy in some areas since Covid. I was meeting a friend for drinks about 3 miles away. It is roughly an 8 minute ride I had done often in the past for $7-8. This time it was $19, but I took it anyway because drinks were involved. On the ride home? It said $34! To go 3 miles! Even WORSE? When I caved and ordered the ride I got “no drivers available”. Repeatedly. I walked home on a hot, muggy misting day. After that I started checking for rides just out of curiosity, even though I wasn’t going anywhere. Just checking, and as often as not no drivers were available. It’s been a little better lately, and I’m sure it varies by location, but I wouldn’t Uber anywhere I didn’t want to walk home from for quite a while. Not trying to freak anyone out, but it was a lesson I learned the hard way. Hope some local folks up there can share info regarding reliability. It worked fine from hotel to the airport the day after the opener, but that was my only experience in WNY since the pandemic.
  5. No, I believe he’s married. Need I say more? 🤷‍♀️ Side note: went to lunch today and passed an art gallery I’ve been passing for years, always looking for something special on display. Nothing ever awed me…until today. Today they had amazing blown glass angels. My wife LOVES blown glass, and she LOVES angels. I’ve never seen them all wrapped up in one! There is an angel in every room of our house. This was not a signed Kelly jersey, but a pretty cool early Christmas present and housewarming gift (we close on a new house 4 doors away tomorrow). This will be the first thing we move in.
  6. Get back to work, would ya? People are waiting! FOCUS!
  7. But, how would you be expected to know?
  8. This is too awesome not to quote! HOWEVER, if they DID all go to Tre, we might lose a CB but gain a NT!
  9. The Patriots* seem to get away with a lot of 12 personnel. I’m not even surprised any more.
  10. Does this just include Patriots* fans, or also people who play golf?
  11. I shouldn’t let that bother me as much as it does.
  12. I’m in again, counting down. This time without finding @HOUSE’s wallet! Surely we can close the gap and hit $100k.
  13. So, are you trying to say he does NOT know more than Beane? I am shocked, I tell you!
  14. But…..who will handle all our insurance needs? A dome team (or at least a team with less challenging weather) might have been a better landing spot for him, but I’m sure he’s just happy to make an active roster. .
  15. Which letters do you suggest. Just put spaces in between, and let us know how that goes for you! Maybe I should wish you a Merry Christmas now, just in case.
  16. When it’s too tough for them………. It’s just right for me to watch from my couch! How shocking that a weather report for a December game turned into a referendum on dome vs open stadiums. Who could have POSSIBLY seen that coming? .
  17. As of my last check, we led the league with 15 INT’s. Don’t get me wrong, I’d love more sacks, but I’d rather have the ball than forcing a 7 yard loss.
  18. Give me just one year at $15 mil and I’ll gladly step aside to make room for the next guy! You can fire me on the tarmac, and I will smile, shake your hand and give a big parting hug, likely with tears of joy streaming down my face. I’m sure recruiting has to be a piece of cake compared to ND where it’s remote and cold and they may hive slightly higher academic standards than LSU. .
  19. Worse than EJ’s year? Not every year is 1983, though in general it’s getting easier to find QB’s I think for a lot of reasons. I wouldn’t want to be QB needy going into this draft.
  20. When we win, we win BIG.
  21. We are moving soon (just four doors up the road), and it makes you look at what you really want to take, and what needs a trip to Goodwill. I was at first hesitant to part with my overly abundant supply of Bills gear. Then I realized that stuff had a better chance of being actually worn by people who did not have the depth of Bills inventory that is in my closet. Hope some Bills fans get some gear on the cheap and represent!
  22. I fear every team, every week, and just hope to make the playoffs. Sorry if this isn’t playing along, but I’ve been at this a LONG time. I try to never get ahead of things. Having said that, I fear power running teams. The Colts, Pats and Titans are made to take advantage of lighter, faster defenses designed to face the pass heavy offenses of today’s NFL.
  23. I’m not crazy, they are our elected leaders! I’d put it north of 50%, with about 25% on psychedelics. You know, give or take…….
  24. AND, this is important so pay attention @BringBackFergy, do NOT pull a Jerry Springer and pay the hooker with a personal check. ESPECIALLY if you are planning to run for public office! We want you to be truthful, not STUPID. We are here to help. .
  25. We preach drinking wisely around these parts! Hindsight threads are generally annoying. Our RB’s could be better. Our OL NEEDS to be MUCH better.
