  1. I wish the Cowboys got hyped……..just as much as the Lions. Remember the Lions? They are still in the NFL, but you’d hardly know it.
  2. Three out of the last four years. The only exception was the no-fan-Covid year. It was AWESOME! It’s an easy drive for me, and a nice place to visit. If not for my plans to have a party AFC/NFC Championship weekend, this rule would make me MORE likely to go and get last minute tickets. Just to piss them off!
  3. My first question is………where did they get such an inexpensive vacuum cleaner? Have you shopped for a vacuum cleaner lately?
  4. I can appreciate their fans. That’s about it, but I think we can all relate to what their fans have endured.
  5. This would be one of their better moves in quite some time. Imagine now pulling Josh, or Rodgers or Brady. Their would be obvious outrage. Key players lost this weekend would be a VERY bad look and leave a very sour taste in the mouth of fans. Deservedly so.
  6. At best. I’m sure there’s a guy….who knows a guy. “I” lost at the opener vs Steelers and at the Titans. I’ll gladly watch from home. You guys scare me! 😋
  7. Yep, and it only works if you can actually run the ball. I’m not sure if I’m more excited about Josh’s last Perfect Game or our recent ability to run the ball. Without question, they are closely related! Peak at the right time, baby!
  8. Think “Remember the Titans” and Denzel saying “Now who’s your daddy? Say it. Who’s your daddy?” and it begins to make sense? My kids knew every line from that movie and at times I’d have to ask “will you let THEM say it?” 😂
  9. I suspect he took AP classes at OT University. Just guessing……
  10. He probably learned that watching Knox working so hard at it!
  11. One reason it’s not getting enough attention is that at least 50% of all coverage is apparently required to be about the stinkin’ Cowboys, win or lose. Then you have to split the remaining focus on all the other teams, so there’s only so much exposure to go around. Make me commissioner and I will disband the Cowboys, collect my $40 million salary and retire after one year. I’ve heard a lot of talk about Allen and that game, but it was such an incredible feat I’m not sure how they can say enough. I’ll just be happy for the experience and hope we are all still smiling next week.
  12. I’d suggest we have the place swept for microphones, just in case…….
  13. ESPECIALLY in Miami!!!
  14. You left out 3) the voodoo doll that results in certain injury to the starter.
  15. I was at Buffalo Wild Wings watching the NCAA tournament with my son, his friend and his friend’s dad. Three guy at the table next to us were HAMMERED and getting obnoxious. They were annoying, and I asked them how they were getting home. Nobody at that table belonged behind a wheel. He said they had it covered, went on a little rant then asked “you got a problem with that?” I said no, no problem. Then I said “well, actually, were here with kids, can you clean up the language?” They were VERY loud with their F*&^ this and F*&^ that. He started getting up to come at me when the other dad stood up. Pat is 6’6” and at least 270 lbs. Former military, he’s not just big, he’s the REAL DEAL. Pat asked “do we have a problem?” The guy sat, and the language immediately improved. 😂
  16. When the kids were young we went with a Rotary Club, of all things, to a Buc’s/Packers game. I invited a friend from the bank along with his fiancé. Sitting right behind our group was a drunk youNG Packers fan. He was wearing nothing above the waist other than a purple bra on his head. (I have no idea 🤷‍♂️.) This Packer fans starts talking to my wife. My friend thinks he’s hitting on her. She says he’s a harmless kid, leave him alone. After much beer, things escalate. At the end of the game my “friend” pins this kid to the bench by his throat and slides him about 5 feet. His friends react and it turns into one of those scenes where people start cascading into the rows in front of them. All all-out brawl. I managed to get the wife and kids to the aisle and one of the Rotary group claims to be a cop loudly and repeatedly while breaking things up. (He WAS a retired cop.) I assume security came but we we running for the bus! He catches up to me and says he hoped I would defend his wife. I said “no, I would NOT be an idiot. It was just words, until YOU escalated it.” If anything I would have gone for security. A few years later I run into his then ex-wife and learn he was fired from the bank for punching a co-worker in the face at the bank Christmas party. He also had domestic abuse charges against the girl half his age who was living with him at the time. Some people just can’t drink alcohol without losing their minds on occasion. USE YOUR WORDS! .
  17. We had a friend who was a pediatric neuro-radiologist who helped us when our son was injured in high school sports. He explained that “on a scale of 1-10, if a bad bone bruise is a 5, a break is 5.5. They are almost the same thing.” It’s not just a little leg boo-boo. This just went to show how dependent they are on an individual player. I hope we don’t find out how dependent we are upon our QB. .
  18. The sign of a good franchise is having players and staff that other teams want. The sign of a GREAT franchise is having guys right behind them, or on a list, who barely miss a beat. Part of their job is having guys to fill in. I’ll bet they hit more than miss on the replacements. I’m a believer. Not a blind believer, but a believer. .
  19. Desperate people do desperate things. Belichick spending that kind of free agent money is out of character, and if he was 10 years younger he might have played it differently.
  20. @Gugny I have two recommendations: A) Move south B) If you aren’t able to make “A” happen, keep your damn fingers away from places they shouldn’t be. I had a buddy in college from Cleveland, and he did NOT have the full compliment of digits due to a snow blower. Saw that more with construction workers, but the snowblower does a fine job of it too. I’m sure you are well aware, but what a nasty event! Early adulthood I had a friend who lost a finger and a half early in life working construction. He became a shop teacher and drove himself to the hospital after losing a couple more at school on the weekend. “Professional” carpenters I worked with during summer breaks were both missing some digits. It almost seems “normal” to them!
  21. I thought it was awesome with Luck, largely because he is so bright and clever. I found this to be a lame rip-off. (Honestly, no offense meant!) Get your own idea, and make that smart and interesting. .
  22. I guess I should consider myself lucky, as I really don’t notice the announcers much. It’s almost like being colorblind, it’s just not there for me. There is one exception, and he’s a Booger. I’ve never liked him, but he spent WAY too much time explaining why the bogus Cody Ford (I believe) crack back block in the playoffs was indeed a penalty. Yep, the same one the league later apologized for. That is one ignorant and annoying moron! I guess I should consider myself lucky, as I really don’t notice the announcers much. EDIT: I should probably correct the accidental double post, but it is so heart felt I’ll just leave that out there. .
  23. We should do this $17 at a time to inspire the Bills Mafia! (Not a fan of that term, but whatever…..anything to inspire!)
  24. I have a lot of respect for the Packers, and even the wounded Buc’s, so I’ll go so far as to say it feels like the AFC Championship game to me. Obviously I could be very wrong, but it feels like it’s either the Bills or Chiefs in the Super Bowl. I have to throw in apologies to the Titans and Bengals to be fair (and more importantly put a kibosh on any whacky jinx!). EDIT: I may have just guaranteed a Bengals/Rams Super Bowl! What would the odds of THAT been before the season??? .
  25. We known a bunch of people with an electric car, but the other car is always gas. Sounds like a good plan to me. We drive cars forever, and depending upon the situation next time around I’d certainly look into it. In high school I had a third alternative. A Chevy Chevette was my first car. I think there was a gerbil on a treadmill powering that. Hills were a problem only of you had to go UP. .
