  1. That has to be absolutely EXHAUSTING!
  2. I was expecting something else in terms on NDE, but that’s another issue. Google it if you’re not familiar, pretty interesting stuff. I was in no danger, and I didn’t see it happen, but I heard a VERY NASTY accident a few months ago. I was putting air in a tire and heard what sounded like an explosion. I jumped up and looked around but didn’t see anything. It was a sickening sound! As I drove away I realize on the other side of the convenience store a lady had apparently pulled out directly in front of someone who was probably doing at least 50 mph. Her driver door was gone and she was still in the drivers seat, unable to move. Because of my delay in realizing what happened others had gotten there first trying to help. I felt queasy as I drove away. It was horrific! Just hearing it and seeing the aftermath shook me up! Years ago in Florida I was driving my son down I-75 to a tennis tournament. Probably doing about 75 mph I go over and overpass with limited visibility ahead to find traffic ahead had come to a stop. I had to break HARD to avoid an accident. My eyes immediately went to the rear view mirror and to my HORROR I see a GIANT red truck bearing down on us. It was HUGE, like it was carrying the biggest dumpster you’ve ever seen. I don’t think he missed us by more than a foot as he swerved into the median. I still remember how loud it was going off the road as it almost tipped over. I tried to play it cool with my son, but we both almost died that day. .
  3. I’m not adding to some Russian oligarch’s gazillions. I have better charities in mind. I’d rather send money to St Jude Children’s Hospital. I trust that to make the world better. .
  4. I will consider, in fact have always assumed under this regime, that they are smarter than the couch potatoes we are judging them. 😋 NOT perfect, but better than most. .
  5. Well, they’ve apparently done well enough to have a top five team in the NFL. It can’t be TOO bad.
  6. You got me thinking….I was born in 1959 (just like the Bills), and my first memories of pizza came when I was about 10. For me, 1969 was an AMAZING year! Probably the best year ever for music, the Bills got OJ, and I discovered pizza!
  7. It’s hard to just MAKE a good team, much less contribute early. We have one of the best teams in the league, and there’s a reason for that. They have been drafting pretty well, and building a roster to last. We are not drafting and praying they can all make an immediate impact. We want help from the top 2-3 guys, and younger cheaper contributors going forward from guys after that. We got that. Rankings like this are silly, but my takeaway is…..the Jets are still the Jets. 😋 .
  8. I would be more likely to watch the snowshoeing.
  9. Come on! These are the best of the best! (Or at least the best who bothered to show up.) Who doesn’t want to watch Ali vs Frazier having a pillow fight?
  10. Sorry, just thought the OP was kind of silly. We will see.
  11. Yeah, but…….. “He schemes plays. He makes diagrams. He cheers on the offensive players”. Then comes the LinkedIn section. You need a QB, then go from there. Time will tell indeed.
  12. For those of us NOT in New Zealand, Pizza Hut might be considered “local”. 😋 It can NOT, however, be considered great pizza. It is edible if you are sufficiently impaired, precluding driving for the good stuff, or knowing the difference. .
  13. My parents had a regular (I believe almost weekly?) dinner at Chef’s. That was their place, despite not being close by. (I’m in Atlanta now, so NOTHING in Buffalo is too hard to get to.) They may have taken me once as a young kid, because I have a vague memory of spaghetti and meatballs. But as I got old enough to be left alone they would do just that. They would go alone on date nights or with friends. Regardless, they loved the place! If I could avoid the hassle of travel I think my 94 year old mom would chose that as her one place to go for a great and nostalgic meal out. I can’t speak to the greatness of the food or atmosphere, but that was their go to spot.
  14. Yeah………but other than that……
  15. Media? Sounds like most of high school to me! 😋
  16. ….and you get what you pay for? I ate some lousy pizza in college, I can tell you that!
  17. They are the international Patriots*.
  18. It’s a basketball term for how short people who can’t jump try to score when they get near the basket. It is often thwarted by giant, athletic players who send that $%^& back in their face, reminding them that this is no longer the Hoosiers era.
  19. His contract is unbearable for GB next year without some adjusting, I believe. He has all kinds of control. If he doesn’t want to adjust, they are screwed. But then, even if they ship him off, it appears they are still screwed. Hurts to whiff on a QB, and it sounds like they did.
  20. I would watch it as a kid on the Canadian channel growing up. It was strangely captivating! And I didn’t even drink beer when I was eight. Well, not much….. 😋
  21. Makes more sense than the Pro Bowl. It’s like exhibition MMA. You either do it for real, or you find another option. MMA turned into a slap fest would be a disgrace, much like the Pro Bowl.
  22. Please don’t get me wrong. Improvement is needed. I don’t have all the answers, but it should be better. Unfortunately, it’s not going to happen as quickly as we would like to see. That’s just how it works. I have to wonder, since college seems to lead the NFL in some strange ways, are they seeing any more progress there? I don’t follow college ball enough to have any idea, but it does make me curious.
  23. I hired (and fired) countless people over a couple decades. There were times where I knew who was available, and I knew who I wanted. I would interview others and go through the process, but I still wanted who I wanted. There is nothing wrong with that. I’m sure Daboll was close to a done deal when they were interviewing for the GM position. It was a package deal in some respects. Going through the process does not mean it was racist.
  24. And the Glazers have learned to stay mostly out of the way, it seems.
