Who was invited to Josh and Hailee's wedding?
Augie replied to Willie West's topic in The Stadium Wall
Happy Birthday! I’ve been to countless weddings starting in the 80’s, and I don’t remember any that did NOT have an open bar. I went to one last year that was catered by Chipotle, and even they had a full open bar. Our DIL used to be a wedding planner, and she always says spend your money on the band and the bar because nobody is going to remember the food. -
PFT article implies that Goodell has pushed out potential replacements
Augie replied to Einstein's topic in The Stadium Wall
Because he, and all of us, are just one lightning bolt or heart attack away from not being here any more. Not having a solid plan for succession would be stupid. Period. -
PFT article implies that Goodell has pushed out potential replacements
Augie replied to Einstein's topic in The Stadium Wall
I bet he’s adopted the TB12 routine. It worked for Brady. 🤷♂️ The more he dragged his feet to identify a successor, the harder I would be pushing to get rid of him. But maybe that’s just me. It is your JOB to have a plan. -
I was at a meeting where the speaker was from the Economic Development Council. He said it was hard to attract some companies because they couldn’t find the right people to hire. Someone commented about all the very fine higher education we have in this area and his response was “No, we need welders and people like that.”

I can ask AI for an answer??? We can all be done thinking, and then see if we notice a difference.

PFT article implies that Goodell has pushed out potential replacements
Augie replied to Einstein's topic in The Stadium Wall
The owners would be foolish not to have a solid succession plan in place. Having said that, I hope this gets Cleveland Browns style ugly. This couldn’t happen to a better guy. -
….and I suppose they have robots to make the robots, so you can’t be a robot-maker, either.

The world is changing rapidly, and it just keeps accelerating. I won’t say my wife is “obsessed” with AI, but it’s been a big topic for a while now so my eyes and ears have been open to this. This makes me think of my college hoops board where there is a thread on dwindling enrollment and sky high tuition and expenses. You HOPE that your education and degree will land you one of those entry level jobs……that are going to go away. Do you want to come out of college with a shiny new diploma and hundreds of thousand$ in student debt looking for a job that no longer exists? Spending four years on that Marketing or English Lit degree is sounding like an expensive vacation that might not pay off at all. I’m all questions with no answers, but I wonder if more people will pursue work in the trades, make a very good living and not pile up the student loans? Some things still need to be done by people, at least for now.

Well, I guess that’s why they call it that!

If I turned 19 again, it would kill me in no time flat. I had a Connie doin’ her act, and a college buddy who tried to buy me 19 shots of Wild Turkey for my 19th Birthday. Drinking age (other than 3.2% beer) was 21, but for some reason after that night I was 21 everywhere I went. I guess I acquitted myself fairly well? Don’t blow chunks indoors and you’re alright! 🤷♂️ We did not achieve the goal of 19 shots, but I’m still here and that’s a minor miracle.

Why does this come to mind? 🎶 Sweet, sweet Connie, doin' her act She had the whole show and that's a natural fact🎶 I’ve always wanted to meet Connie. 😊 .

One Mike Tyson style face tattoo and we have a scary dude back there! Nobody will question his toughness then! .
-
I don’t think that was ha lack of being willing or able to be tough or physical, I think he took time to process instead of just reacting. From what I’ve read about camp he’s in there with the ones, on top of everything and communicating to get everyone properly aligned. When ħe just sees it without thinking I think his physical tools will be more apparent. My question is, can he cover? I think of him more of a SS kind of guy. Who will play more of a FS role?

Both of our boys participated in the state of Florida high school weightlifting tournament. Some of these guys were absolutely comical! They literally made me chuckle a few times. There is no way in hell to get like that without cheating. They almost looked like a different species.

Browns Laugh Of The Day... Their Posting The QB OTA Stats
Augie replied to corta765's topic in The Stadium Wall
Yes, just a few more massages and he should be feeling quite fine. -
You know we can find you, right? I mean, certainly somebody here has some kind of skills. OK, you’re probably feeling quite confident, I can sense it.

The Browns should wish they had an Alex Smith and be happy! I truly feel for the people who try to be their fans. -

Thank you, I feel much better now. This place is much cheaper than therapy. -

I’m sorry, this just makes me very sad. -
The details have been worked out and we will be at the Ravens game. Sadly, the Bills do not have an outstanding record when I attend in person in recent years. The good news is, I can be bought to stay away.

So you really ARE a Magician?

Hey, I’ve seen this before! (AI model refuses to let itself be shut off)
Augie replied to Roundybout's topic in Off the Wall
When I was a kid we had a phone in the kitchen on a party line, and you could go to the library and look things up in an encyclopedia. Now my 11 year old son has a phone in wis pocket with virtually all the wisdom of mankind at his fingertips. This is his “normal”. What else will he see in his lifetime??? I have no idea where this AI stuff is going, but I know enough to have some very real concerns. . -
Maybe that’s where I should go to get this year’s schedule?

I’ve got to quote that, just because I can and it’s so true! Letters from that day were like literature. Capt. Andrew Luck Was a fine example. Letters my FIL sent home from the USS Missouri in WWII to his family were almost that way, seriously. They sounded like that and ended with “Your Dearest George.” It was very different back then.

Lovely, it was my youngest son’s first car. And also describes a few people I have known.
