  1. We used to go there for a variety of reasons. We went to an Orange Bowl (still remember FSU vs Notre Dame), multiple times for the tennis tournament now (I think) known as the Miami Open which is a BIG one, and my wife’s work. The last trip was several years ago and I was surprised how much it had changed. Because I only spoke English I actually had to point to the menu at several places on South Beach. Great destination, I agree. As someone joked: you know the best thing about Miami? It’s so close to the United States! The good news about being in Atlanta is direct flights to almost anywhere.
  2. I think what you should win is an all expense paid vacation in a “public housing resort facility”. As a bonus prize, you also get to keep a criminal record. Legal expenses not included. .
  3. I’ve liked him all along. The next time we lose the same old boo birds will come back with the hate. We had complainers after the AFCCG last year. It’s ridiculous and generally childish. Is he perfect? No? Can we have reasonable discussions about how things can be better? Yes. I hope those complainers are absolutely perfect 100% of the time at their jobs. I’ll bet most of those jobs are a helluva lot easier than being an NFL HC.
  4. Ha! Hawaii was the default location for my son’s honeymoon! Damn! The boy is two for two on the first responses. I think he’s doing pretty well for himself! Did wine country, but decades ago. While my preference is somewhere new, it’s been so long and it was so great it’s a place I’d definitely do again.
  5. We are football fans, and I’d LOVE to see the Brown’s as our playoff opponent as opposed to some other teams. It was ONLY four. Can anyone think of a game where a guy threw more than four interceptions? 😋
  6. Interesting! My son went to a bachelor weekend in Austin earlier this year. Loved it! It’s actually a place that is on my radar as somewhere I’d like to see. I tend to like college towns as they generally have a cool vibe. If Nashville had better weather and looked like they could handle the growth, I’d consider moving there. Sadly, they don’t, and they don’t.
  7. It looks like our trip to Italy/Croatia and the Windstar cruise in a few months is not going to happen. AGAIN! We first booked it about three years ago, and this will be the second time it’s been canceled. VERY frustrating! I don’t want to steer this in any direction by saying where we’ve been previously because I’m open to all options, but generally want to see new places. I just don’t want to have to deal with borders and getting stranded anywhere due to Covid. I will say, we like fairly nice accommodations and are not camping type people. I’m curious about any great cities, parks and/or resorts. Our son’s honeymoon had to go to Plan B as they couldn’t make Italy work either. They had a great time in a location I’ll withhold for now. Where have you been that you really enjoyed? I’m curious to hear all your thoughts. Thanks in advance. .
  8. Being a Bills message board does not mean we suspend reality. 🤷‍♂️ Well……for most of us….. .
  9. Yeah, here we go again! My teams next two games have been postponed. Just hoping we can manage patching together a successful season. This shuffling games and missing players makes it hard to tell what kind of team you really have.
  10. I feel like Beasley earns his money sitting on the holes of zone coverage as Josh’s safety valve, and McKenzie offers the speed to run these routes. Both roles are important, and I’ll trust the FO to make the right calls. Whatever they do with these guys, WR will need some attention before next year.
  11. It would be interesting if it went to a player who was not a QB. When’s the last time that happened? (I heard it recently but don’t recall.) Rodgers may be an arrogant, self centered jerk, but he’s been CRAZY good. Regardless, I’d MUCH rather have Josh win the SUPER BOWL MVP!
  12. Ummm, I think we’re getting away from the Jags situation and heading for a slippery slope. Not my place to say anything, just trying to help. 🤷‍♂️
  13. The funny part is I live in Atlanta, and reading your post taught me all I know about the Falcons. I had no idea what their record is, and couldn’t name a single player other than Matt Ryan. And I’m not alone! This is college football territory. I’ve been to two Falcons games here, once before we moved (and we sat in the President’s suite at the old stadium - pretty cool) and when the Bills came to town.
  14. I was a net provider of Bills gear this year. As part of moving I purged a lot of stuff from my closet. I’ve collected a LOT of Bill gear over the years, much of it as Christmas gifts since it seems like a no-brainier for me. A lot of it didn’t fit right and hadn’t been worn in years. (It’s hard to buy clothes for others.) Rather than sitting in my closet I made a trip to Goodwill where it will hopefully find a new owner and actually get worn. GO BILLS! I’ll put you down as a “yes”. 😋
  15. How many times does she scream “Put your $%^&ing mask on! Put your $%^&ing mask on!!!” All while her mask is not covering her face? What do you think the odds are alcohol was involved. I’d say it’s probably close to 100%. Some people……ugh.
  16. It’s a LOT of money, but it’s all relative. Amazing, I know.
  17. At what points did Brown get moved from LT to RT, and why? I noticed it early, and late, but not sure when the transition happened.
  18. So, what’s the damn deal???? Screwed, that’s a TD, and we need one more TD for the good guys (who don’t cheat, or at least get caught, as much).
  19. The title should not have left you wondering what it was all about, and yet here you are. He was one of ours until he got snatched up, and I’ll be curious to see how he does.
  20. OK, now I have to tell the tale of Pete. ROTC Pete from college. I’m not a small person, but Pete was large. Maybe 6’4” and 230 lbs. Pete was also made of steel, as I learned when he joined the rugby team. Some guys are big, but soft. There are also some small wirey guys you don’t want to mess with. Pete was built like a tank, but tougher, and he was relentless! So it's stupid college antics and a dozen girls challenge a dozen guys (mostly from the rugby team) to see who can drink a keg of beer first, then get every member of the team up to the college bar and every team member has to finish one more beer. The event is held in the girls dorm with a room for two girls adjoining a similar room with a bath in between. There are two kegs with signs in the shower in the middle, one for the guys, one for the girls. We start drinking. And drinking. We drink pretty hard for quite a while. Eventually Pete starts puking still cold beer. I mean, they should have put some time limit on how long it had to be in your stomach, because Pete was all about volume in, with no regard for volume out. It was insane, but he went on to serve our country and I felt safer knowing Pete was on our side! Eventually, the girls declare their keg is empty and they are going to the bar to finish the deal. They had switched kegs and thought they outsmarted us. They left a dozen guys in their suite who had put down the better part of two kegs. I look back and wonder if that is even possible, but I was there! Pete was our cold beer recycler and I know that made a difference. Anyway, I’m guessing the girls later realized the flaw in their plan after leaving us all alone and TRASHED in their suite. Ahhh, the good times. I don’t miss college, but there are some funny memories!
  21. I was almost dreading this Christmas because wen were so unprepared. In the last few weeks/months we’ve bought a new house, recently moved (last week) and sold two other houses. Details and moving damn near killed us, especially my wife the detail person (who still works a very demanding job). Our son was in FL with his in-laws and their huge family. It was just me, the wife and my 94 year old mom. No tree as we’re just getting out of boxes. Just a few presents for my mom, and a couple restaurant gift certificates she got for us. Still, we got her to Mass, we got some great Christmas music on Pandora today, made a nice meal and it was VERY special. At her age, you have to appreciate it just the way you do when they are little. Each and every Christmas is precious. I hope she’s here with us next year when we can have the full experience and do it right. Side note: I don’t need any more “stuff”. I like keeping it VERY simple, but trading stuff for experiences. Take a short trip, or a big one. Go see something new. My sisters have done this with their families for years, and they never end up taking those memories to Goodwill.
  22. AWESOME! Congrats! She’s definitely a keeper. I must say, she seemed so “normal”, but my wife made a similar mistake! And almost 38 years later, she’s still living by it. Go figure! 🤷‍♂️ Hope to see you at a tailgate sometime soon.
  23. I never got a thank you for the fruit cake I sent. Did you get the damn fruit cake? I’ve been trying to get rid of that thing for years, but it just comes back like a boomerang! “Moved. No forwarding address.” You were my last hope! OH! And very deserving, I might add.
  24. Venmo or a similar service works just fine. Come on, get with the times! 😋 PSA - I sure hope we don’t have pandemic nonsense to deal with NEXT Christmas, but we were worried about getting my mother to a crowded church for Mass. We had been going to Christmas Eve Mass in recent years and it is JAM PACKED! You get there an hour early if you want a seat. No bueno. We switched it up and went to noon Mass on Christmas Day. Anybody with kids, plus most others have gotten it out of the way by then. It was fantastic as each row only had 2-3 people unless it was a large family. Some rows were completely empty! Next year we will be doing this regardless of the pandemic status, and especially if my then 95 year old mom will be with us. Super easy!
  25. It could still be in the mail, but just in case you should check to see if you accidentally filed it with your restraining orders.
