A friend of ours, Donald “Duck” Dunn was the bass player there. Sadly, he passed away a few years ago. Great guy, great memories of some great times with him and his wife. Amazing tales from playing with different artists over the years.

Giants/Schoen interview Daboll for HC
Augie replied to Hapless Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall
Now, now, he needs to make time for the little old lady who wandered off from the gift shop and stopped in to talk about what jersey she should buy for her grandson. Maybe poll the staff on who they would take, and wonder if she’s better off waiting until next season. Oh, what kind of coffee is that? That is wonderful! Is that from Costco? I love Costco! I hate the lines for gas, though. It’s so much cheaper for gas, but the lines can be really long. I don’t mind so much, because I listen to books on tape which really kills the time for me. Ohh. It’s time for Yoda to go home from work? Can I follow you? -
Early reports are the space will be filled with a full sized Stay Puft Marshmallow Man who became quite popular after his exquisite performance in Ghostbusters just down the road. He’s a local favorite, from what I hear.

IDK, I played rugby in college and a guy had an Irish Wolfhound (think athletic pony) on the sidelines tossing a rugby ball up in the air and catching it. He smacked the dog and screamed “you popped one last week and it cost me $150!” Do you know how big a rugby ball is? That gives you an idea of how big that dog was! If a wolf could pop the ball, then take off, would you want to catch it? Give that some thought! On a related note, would you rather be attacked by a bear or a shark? I had kids, so I’ve been presented with these types of questions. It’s a part of me now. 🤷♂️

I would not have done that if suggested by most others.

Or did the dog eat his wallet, along with his homework?

I have news for you. Never mind, I don’t want to ruin it for anyone…..

I’m sure that made for some very attractive goalies!

That might sound like ranch dip to some, I’m sure you realize. 😋 Kidding, never tried it but I’d give it a go once, then decide. But I do LOVE my horseradish!

Titans changing policy to limit opposing fans
Augie replied to JÂy RÛßeÒ's topic in The Stadium Wall
I’ve been at the Nashville games three of the last four years. The Covid year breaking my streak. We owned that joint most of the time. It’s a cool city to visit, but not every “Bills fan” was a “football fan”. People hear Nashville and say let’s go! The people sitting behind us this season were all in Bills jerseys. I was amazed at how loud the crowd was when we were on offense despite owning half the seats. I turned around to find our “fans” screaming at the top of their lungs while we were on offense. We had to have a talk. “Josh is trying to talk to his peeps, STFU”. OH! We didn’t know! Strangely, the guy behind me started patting my head after good plays. OK, we’re all in a good mood. High five, carry on. Eventually he says “your hair is all wet!” I say “I know, you keep spilling beer on me!” 😂 -
It’s just some bitter Cheater* bandwagon fans looking to feel superior. They will be gone in a few years. Their housing is FAR more expensive, their traffic is a nightmare, their weather is no better, and the food is a wash (I lean to WYN, but I’m biased). The PEOPLE in Buffalo are hands down the biggest difference. I grew up in Buffalo. My wife worked for the Bank of Boston for years and currently has a team in Boston. I have a sister in Providence and get to Boston often. Nice town, no hate for a northern city. We started our honeymoon in Boston decades ago. I don’t hate the people of Boston, but Cheater* fans are delusional. I know Boston FAR better than they know Buffalo, but they still feel entitled to act like they know “the truth”. They hear Buffalo and they think snow. So stupid! Have they ever even BEEN to Buffalo? EDIT: Funny story, I met a guy in a tennis league and we became friends. The first conversation has the typical “so, where are you from?” talk. He says “I’m from the armpit of the United States” and I say “Oh. Gary, Indiana?” He says “so you’ve been there?” and I say “well, I drove through once, that’s all it took.” .

Cleveland Browns appreciation thread
Augie replied to Royale with Cheese's topic in The Stadium Wall
It all starts at the top. It’s hard to consistently field a good team if you don’t have a good owner. I’m afraid our Browns fan friends are doomed. Yes and no, IMO. They certainly get more media hype than they deserve. The difference seems to be Cleveland really wants to be very good, while Dallas is under the delusion that they are very good. -
I won’t be there, but that is a SWEET site. Looks well organized. Nashville has a similar all-inclusive tailgate, but I didn’t attend that. I wonder if this is one organization that caters (literally) to away fans across the league? Does Orchard Park have anything like this? I’ve never been aware of it in OP. I met a guy in Florida at a hotel bar a few months ago. He’s a Chiefs season ticket holder (maybe has a suite?) and he was BEGGING me to get in touch if I ever get there for a game. Invited me to their tailgate, etc. Insisted I hand him my phone so he could hook us up on LinkedIn. I should reach out for the heck of it, to see if he was for real or just more drunk than I was! 😂

I wish the Cowboys got hyped……..just as much as the Lions. Remember the Lions? They are still in the NFL, but you’d hardly know it.

Titans changing policy to limit opposing fans
Augie replied to JÂy RÛßeÒ's topic in The Stadium Wall
Three out of the last four years. The only exception was the no-fan-Covid year. It was AWESOME! It’s an easy drive for me, and a nice place to visit. If not for my plans to have a party AFC/NFC Championship weekend, this rule would make me MORE likely to go and get last minute tickets. Just to piss them off! -

I can appreciate their fans. That’s about it, but I think we can all relate to what their fans have endured. -
This would be one of their better moves in quite some time. Imagine now pulling Josh, or Rodgers or Brady. Their would be obvious outrage. Key players lost this weekend would be a VERY bad look and leave a very sour taste in the mouth of fans. Deservedly so.

At best. I’m sure there’s a guy….who knows a guy. “I” lost at the opener vs Steelers and at the Titans. I’ll gladly watch from home. You guys scare me! 😋

Yep, and it only works if you can actually run the ball. I’m not sure if I’m more excited about Josh’s last Perfect Game or our recent ability to run the ball. Without question, they are closely related! Peak at the right time, baby!

I suspect he took AP classes at OT University. Just guessing……
