  1. Some teams will never be good unless they can get the owners locked in a closet. That’s why the Bengals in the Super Bowl shocks me so much.
  2. So…….”Those who can, do. Those who cannot, teach/coach”. That’s what I take out of that, and I’m sure there is some truth to it.
  3. Funny thing is, when I hear a team is interviewing this guy or that guy, I almost never know if he’s white, black, Hispanic or whatever. And I don’t care.
  4. We are heading toward the ghost peppers, I’m afraid!
  5. It shouldn’t have to be necessary, but sadly it still appears to be. It hurts nothing, so why not? Nothing is lost, and you never know what might be gained, even just if it’s interview experience. That’s just MY opinion.
  6. I suspect the theory is………none of us will be around to point out how wrong he was.
  7. I’d rather watch his commercials than him as our QB.
  8. That is encouraging going forward.
  9. That will get better with practice, I’m (almost) sure.
  10. Waking up tomorrow? Honestly, my mom is 94 and I just need to outlast her. She was sure she would die at 92 because her mother and grandmother died at 92. Everybody dies (sorry for the spoiler with no alert). If I make it thru tomorrow it’s all good!
  11. What is the most important position? That counts more than once. We also have Tre and Diggs. Nobody is elite across the board, but we have the key positions. We are elite at enough positions to be a serious contender for years to come.
  12. The REAL point being, Gabe Davis had FOUR TD’s in a playoff game. The first WR ever to do that. I have no complaints. We took advantage of what was available and Gabe had an incredible performance. More credit to Josh for recognizing it! THAT is not the reason we lost, and I refuse to dwell on the negative. Learn from it, and move forward. Whining is not appealing. Improving is ultra appealing! .
  13. Too morbid to pin, IMO, and if I started it I’d be afraid I’d top the list. 😱
  14. A great character on an underrated show. Kind of like NewsRadio and Phil Hartman in my mind. That was a life lost much too soon. RIP Howard.
  15. To be fair, I’m guessing it was an overly emotional reaction in the moment. It happens. I’d like to think that moment has passed and there is a realization that we were probably a top three team in the league, and we lost in OT to another top three team in a CRAZY way. $%#^ happens. Life moves on. Keep your top three thing going on, and one day you find yourself on top.
  16. So…..it’s not about the skill guys, but it’s about “team speed”? You listed a bunch of skill guys, but now it’s “team”? Like we need faster OG’s or NT’s? (Not meant to come off as nasty.) Look, I’d like more breakaway speed and easy scores. That helps guys like Diggs, Davis, Knox and Singletary underneath. That is your bread and butter. A blazing threat at RB or WR would be nice, but we have been pretty loaded. Not every team can have world class speed at WR or RB. Al Davis loved that, but I prefer Jerry Rice, a real football player, over some fast guy. Are we the slowest team in the league is not the same as are we as fast as the fastest team in the league. The comparison provided seems to lean toward a certain agenda. .
  17. Can I throw out K/P, and replace that with “Value”. That’s where my vote would go. We need all those other things, but at the right cost.
  18. Instead of the Pro Bowl, that NOBODY wants to see, send them ALL to Pebble Beach to play golf. I’ll be far more likely to watch, and more players will be excited about it. Maybe even have a Charles Barkley Award!
  19. Poor Nick lost his schtick. Now he has to act like he has a brain and lose all those angry clicks……
  20. Well, that’s that! It’s on the internet, Wikipedia no less, so it’s a done deal. 😋 I trust our guys to make a good decision. Nothing and nobody is perfect, but they are well above average. From where I sit, I honestly don’t even know what to wish for. I just have to trust them.
  21. Nor can I, but nothing so far scares me. . I hope he doesn’t mess with his beach chairs! That there is TROUBLE!
  22. Me too! The good news is…….we weren't thinking and talking about the draft in late October, like the dark old days. Yeah, lets fire everyone…….
  23. I don’t think the decision to pass on Gronk is that he’d take away targets for Knox. We NEED another good TE on the roster, and somebody will do that even if Knox is clearly TE #1. My concern about Gronk would be age, injuries and possibly cost. I wouldn’t want to pay TOO much for him, but he’s done a lot of winning in his years. I can get past the dirty play on Tre. That was indeed atrocious, but I would not want to forever be judged on my worst day. If the health and cost isn’t the reason to pass, the hit on Tre should be overlooked, IMO. %$#^ happens. Michael Jordan punched a teammate. Would you turn him down? I can’t vote pure “Yes”, but I’m open to it under the right conditions and for the right price. .
  24. Maybe with some chop sticks you can make a VERY tiny little house of it, but keep it well wrapped. Remember, you need to keep it well wrapped. That may save you more than the stupid card. If…..you know what I mean.
  25. I am not a geography major, but I’m pretty sure NEITHER are in New Jersey.
