Only if we can purge Fitz of the dark magic curse causing the starter to be injured.

It is certainly an antiquated way to oversee games in a multi-billion dollar industry. With the new emphasis on gambling, I really think they will move to change this in the next couple years, even if just for the optics. This is no longer the old AFL where guys were truck drivers or mechanics in the offseason. Professionals sports need professional referees.

Brian Flores suing NFL, NY Giants, Dolphins, Broncos.
Augie replied to BillsFan4's topic in The Stadium Wall
This is interesting and makes me curious. Why would he do the first interview but not a second? Did he not like what he heard? I have to think a second interview is not “a sham”. But what do I know? Any insight there? -

IF Flores can prove Ross offered money to lose games it proves several things: it is possible to be a billionaire AND a complete idiot………AND a soon to be former owner of an NFL franchise. That $%#^ won’t fly! -

It is, and regardless they would not be stupid enough to to say it out loud. Every team has contingency plans for lost players and staff. But it’s still wise to be open to any pleasant surprises. There is no doubt in my mind Daboll was discussed and was part of the plan when they hired the GM. They didn’t hire him then look around and wonder who the coach might be. -
Do people still PLAY it???

I don’t know if it’s specific to us. They are limited in the amount of contact they are allowed to have, so it’s hard to work on. That’s my two cents.

Home Equity Line vs borrowing from 401K vs personal loan

Now is a MUCH better time to be selling than buying. Unfortunately, you then have the problem of where to live. We were fortunate to sell two places (our house and the one we rented to our son) and buy a single, bigger house. We should be downsizing, but in order to get a bigger kitchen with an open plan, we had to buy a LOT more house that went with it. Never listen to me. DC Tom was apparently right, I am an idiot. 🤷♂️ -
It could be NOTHING, but I met his uncle in the Chicago airport on the way to the opener. He and his wife were on the flight to the game, first time in Buffalo. He said this would be Mitch’s last year. I said I thought he had one more year on his deal and he just shrugged and said “well, you know….”. Since then I’ve heard a couple little things that made me wonder when filtered thru that light. He talked a lot about his wife and kids back home, and I wonder if Mitch has made enough money and wants to get out before the concussions get the better of him. I am NOT saying it’s true or a fact, but I can’t un-hear it. Maybe he’s just been thinking about it? Maybe he took something out of context? I don’t know. 🤷♂️

No. They are adults. -
As has been discussed, don’t count on Mitch necessarily being back. We have some talented guys, but we need to add and improve.

Even Nick Wright gave props to Josh Allen.

The Rodgers to Denver idea doesn’t bother me for this reason. Get KC and the Raiders to drop a few more games and cannibalize the division. Let us sit in the Patriots seat as they did for a couple decades. Home field IS an advantage. -
Same with Andy Reid. He should be in the Super Bowl. RUN THE BALL until they bring a safety up and play you fairly, THEN you can throw again. I’d have taken that 6 yards/carry they were averaging, but that does NOT make me qualified to to be an NFL coach. Should the Chiefs fire him? I bet the Eagles would LOVE to have him back! Relax in your armchair. It’s very hard to be perfect as an NFL coach, as evidenced by the fact that there has never been one.

McD is intense. That’s what it takes to be great. I’m sure that can be uncomfortable at times. I kind of like it if people are held to high expectations and don’t feel TOO comfortable in their positions.

Not the way I see it. AT ALL. “Ex-Bills” is the key there. No stain on the Buffalo Bills. The Dolphins, Giants and even Belichick are part of the story. We are not. -

It hurts the Dolphins severely, to the point they may need to get a new owner. I don’t see how it hurts the Bills at all. -

We had a friend who sued her employer, one of the biggest banks in the country. They have very deep pockets, and all the time in the world. It did not end well for her. It didn’t matter if she might have been right, it was career suicide. Playing the race card sounds iffy because the Bills connection makes it easy to see coming. Not sure I would have gone there unless there is more I don’t know (which I’m sure IS the case, but still). -

This could get spicy! I thought he got a raw deal in Miami. It also sounds like he’s got a fairly solid case if he can prove the allegations. An owner paying a coach to lose sounds like they need a new owner down there. Hard to escape that unscathed! A different twist on the Donald Sterling situation. My favorite part is Belichick getting the wrong Brian to text! How priceless is THAT? You slipping old man? Bet you wish you could have a do-over because you added to one giant stink! -
I’m deciding between Bengals and Chiefs for my road game next season. Cincinnati was my college town, so it has appeal. KC is a bucket list road game, like Lambeau. Time to ponder, will wait for the dates.

I was a cereal guy when I was younger, and you nailed my top choices. Frosted Flakes, Fruity Pebbles and Lucky Charms topped my list. Cap’n Crunch was great, if you were willing to sacrifice the roof of your mouth. As an “adult” (still questionable, even at my age) Raisin Bran became the go-to. That’s five, and that was a while ago. I’m a skim milk and breakfast bar guy now. Prior to that it was skim milk and a banana, then yogurt. I am an evolving breakfast connoisseur.

I think he’s interviewing for HC in Jax, so maybe we wait to see how things fall into place. He did make Wentz look like more than he appears to be in reality. If he doesn’t get a HC gig, we could be a great next step to getting one in the short term. I trust our guys to be smarter than me or TBD in general. Far from infallible, but I like our odds. Our parts (led by Josh) make us a highly desirable destination for OC candidates with aspirations of moving up to HC. .

Don't be surprised if Josh Allen has a bumpy 2022
Augie replied to beebe's topic in The Stadium Wall
But, Mahomes had a bad half, so Josh is going to regress next year. I think you are missing the….. Oh…….maybe not. There are ups and downs every year, but Josh keeps getting better. I think more depends on the new OC and staff, plus players, than how Mahomes played. -

We are going to evaluate all the candidates, then take the worst one. Why is that confusing? 😋 Postage due? -

Until late in the season I would have guessed that we would have to send a draft pick with him. Later in the year they looked much better and I’m not really sure why.
