Please don’t get me wrong. Improvement is needed. I don’t have all the answers, but it should be better. Unfortunately, it’s not going to happen as quickly as we would like to see. That’s just how it works. I have to wonder, since college seems to lead the NFL in some strange ways, are they seeing any more progress there? I don’t follow college ball enough to have any idea, but it does make me curious.

I hired (and fired) countless people over a couple decades. There were times where I knew who was available, and I knew who I wanted. I would interview others and go through the process, but I still wanted who I wanted. There is nothing wrong with that. I’m sure Daboll was close to a done deal when they were interviewing for the GM position. It was a package deal in some respects. Going through the process does not mean it was racist.

And the Glazers have learned to stay mostly out of the way, it seems.

They exist outside of shopping malls? I had no idea! They are right next to the people who will keep giving me little pieces of chicken on a toothpick no matter how many laps I take getting a full meal out of free samples! Better than Costco!

Like hurricanes, the media makes it look like everybody was affected, and nobody survived. They look for that one trailer, in that one trailer park, that had a tree on top of it. THAT is what they show people.

There was a Pontillo’s in Sarasota, FL for many years. It was the best in town but then closed. THEN, a Casa di Pizza opened, and IT was the best thing in town. Pizza shops from WNY are the best option in my old part of Florida. I wish they had a good WNY option in ATL. We had a Ted’s knock-off, but it died. The pizza places are not as good. The best kept going down to Florida. We had a Duff’s franchise in Newnan about 40 miles away I’d go to a couple times a year. That closed early in Covid. It was really good, and a real loss. The Anchor Bar franchise about 20 minutes away is garbage…..and now I’m HUNGRY!

In Florida they call it the Baker Act. Are you familiar with that, perchance? On the bright side, you get free room and board for a while. I’m sure the doctors are very nice, but the gowns might be drafty. Cheer up! With therapy there is hope for you! 😋

I don’t know much about Baalke, but I don’t blame Leftwich. I’d want the right situation that would allow me to thrive. The right situation starts at the top with the owner. Wait for a better situation and visit London in the offseason if you want.

IF he’s not in Green Bay, he will almost certainly be in the AFC. The Packers are not stupid. Maybe the best option is Denver so he can beat the Chiefs and Raiders once or twice a year. Let them cannibalize themselves, and let the playoffs run through Orchard Park. Take advantage of home playoff games like the Pats* did for so many years.

Funny, Prime goes up a bit to get me Thursday Night Football, but AT&T U-Verse drops the NFL Network and my cost didn’t go DOWN just a little bit. I’m sensing a pattern. It’s OK, eventually when they go TOO far I’ll vote with my feet. Hope that doesn’t happen.

This is like resigning when you are about to be fired, I think. We will never know for sure. IF, and it’s a BIG IF, it can be PROVEN that Ross was willing to pay to tank games, that is a line that can NOT be crossed. Maybe Haslam and some other guys are are not model citizens, but offering to pay to tank games is just unacceptable. The ultimate sin. This is especially true with the emergence of legalized gambling.

We were in Spain a few years ago, ya know….back when people actually went places, and wanted sangria. We learned southern Spain is generally warm, and the people who live their like cold beer. For the tourists, each place has their different version of sangria, and it is almost universally AWFUL! Almost half the places had a sugar sludge at the bottom of the glass. DISGUSTING! We came home and made the Bobby Flay version, better than anything in Spain.

Of course it’s sour grapes. It would be foolish for Flores to make the claim without some kind of evidence. But fools happen every day! Who knows? I don’t think it’s out of the realm of possibility. A few years ago the investigation didn’t have an insider cooperating. I have no idea what is true, but if there is credible evidence, or even a strong appearance of improprieties, STRONG action has to be taken. Owners can NOT pay to tank (or even try to tank) and remain owners.

IF what Flores alleges regarding paying for losses proves to be true, this will probably be the last hire Ross ever makes for the Dolphins. In this day and age, with the gambling angle especially, THAT has to lead to swift action by the league.

My sister in Providence has someone who wants to buy their house moving from California. California makes most markets look cheap. Sister wants to move to Newport where her son just had their first grandchild. Had a contract allowing her time to find a place. NOTHING sanely priced is available. She thought she got a great deal on her place, but had to cancel the deal. Newport is even more expensive than Providence (which is lovely, BTW). There WILL be a correction coming, imo. There just has to be. This is INSANE! I hope to be ready with cash for a place in Sarasota when interest rates go up and prices go down. In 2006-2007 you couldn’t GIVE real estate away. People would rather have an STD.

He would/should have known ALL that before interview #1. Something changed. Interviews go both ways.

But the good news is, it won’t last forever. He doesn’t stay around long. I wouldn’t want him, I like stability like we have with McD. About a BILLION times over.

I have heard of Korea (MASH was a great show!) and I am familiar with drama, because we had kids. That’s as close as I get.
