If I had to guess, he’d like a little more cash. How they can pay everyone and sustain it is a serious question in my mind. I’m no cap wizard, but it seems like a real challenge long term. I heard he contacted the Cracker Jacks people about providing the Super Bowl rings last week. Dodged a bullet and escaped that expense! .

I don’t pay much attention to the commercials, but I didn’t love any of them. The game turned out to be exciting at the end. My point was more to the garbage (IMO) halftime show. Since I’m not at the stadium, I don’t need that much time to refresh my drink and hit the head. Rap and disco should be tied together, and flushed forever.

The commercials have NOT been as good as the marginally exciting game, but they were FAR better than the halftime show. Ugh….

Does anyone else remember a time, not that long ago, when we would have given anything just to make a playoff game? Seems we have a bunch of greedy folks here who don’t appreciate what we have. It’s very, VERY hard to be the last team standing.

Except for one game (Colts), we were one play away from winning in every loss. Crappy coaching my ass. Nobody is perfect, including me and you. They will learn from the mistakes. Because of the roster, coach and GM, I’d think they would be the top choice for any of the top FA’s. They would get to pick from that crop because they have such an attractive situation.

I think the expectation is that they will basically keep doing what they’ve been doing, with a few twists added. I know Josh wanted him, and I think the general continuity is one of the reasons.

Indescribably sad. As they say, you don’t treat temporary problems with a permanent solution. Obviously he was very troubled, and we’ll never know what was going thru his mind, but I’d think the very LAST place I’d do it would be at my mother’s. Feel horrible for everyone related to this tragedy. RIP .

This could be accurate. Win tomorrow and go out the conquering hero. Let the next guy “mess it up” because he was painted into a corner by the salary cap. Get paid millions to talk about football while never losing a game. Then jump back in with your pick of jobs if the mood strikes. He’d be the #1 candidate for every opening.

I didn’t say faster. I said better. And he would be. I will agree that we could use more speed on offense, and I hope we find it before next season. Who that might be is beyond me, but I’m sure it’s a priority.
