You don’t see Sweeney getting any Pro Bowl votes? 🤷♂️ We need another NFL quality TE, and I’ll trust Beane to find one.

I think Knox is more than fine at TE. He just can’t be your ONLY NFL quality TE.

Khalil Mack traded to Chargers for 2nd and 6th round picks

I’m not even sure if it was a miss. Time will tell. But yes, NOBODY is perfect and gets it right 100% of the time. Just be right more than the other guys, that is the key. -
I lived thru it once.

Is it her fault if she has that effect? 🤷♂️

Good for you! I like your spirit! 🍺 🍺 I have a buddy who had his own personal breathalyzer gadget. Sometimes he’d be close to the limit BEFORE he had anything to drink, and sometimes it would say he was safe when I knew for a fact he was WAY OVER! I hope nobody got in trouble with a false sense of security from that piece of crap thing. It was no better than a Magic Eight Ball. I’m surprised they even sell them for fear of liability, not only from arrests but any accidents/injuries that might happen. I think he got it at a drug store. Or maybe at the bottom of a box of Cracker Jacks.

Don’t worry, it’s not your money. The Bills got this one. Do NOT underestimate Special Teams and versatility/depth.

I have a serious UNC bias. My boys went to hoops camp there every summer. When the older boy was in camp I’d take the younger son to the planetarium every day for great shows. Then we would walk around Chapel Hill and the campus, have lunch and hit a pub with arcade games. we both had a blast! Beautiful school! After a few years I’d take the younger son and his friends to camp there. I think I spent one week in the summer there for six straight years. While in the area I’d go to visit Duke on occasion. The campus could be described as impressive. It could also be called formally stuffy with a pompous feel. (Much like Coach K.) The opposite of UNC Chapel Hill’s comfortable, homey feel. Somehow we wandered into the administrative area to find kids with heat stroke sweating half conscious lying on slippery leather sofas. While the UNC hoops camp used several gyms (admittedly without AC) on campus and local schools, Duke had many of the kids playing in the sun on blacktop. NOT good. One thing I’ll give Duke credit for is keeping Cameron Indoor open to the public. I never found that iconic venue to be locked. It was VERY cool for the kids to walk that floor and stand at the free throw line thinking about all the special moments that took place in that very spot. The arena in Chapel Hill was pretty generic by comparison, but my older son did get to play a game with some of the top players from a a Final Four quality team. THAT was pretty cool.

My wife’s seriously bossy sister has been known to stop her as she orders at a restaurant with “NO! YOU CAN’T HAVE THAT!” I’m torn. I hate her bossiness, but I also fear the consequences to some extent. What to do? 🤷♂️

Looks like the call to squib may not have made it to Bass

Which is what McD said and fully accepted. What more can he do? Now, do you want to fire him, or do you want to move forward and work to do better? It hurt, but I’ve moved on. I’ve not forgotten (I’m afraid that will never be possible), but I’m ready to look forward rather than backward. Maybe that’s just me. When (NOT if) they DO win a Super Bowl, there will still be regrets. They just won’t hurt quite as much. -
Gabe Davis? I’ve heard of him…… We will be losing some important guys from the WR room this year. They need to be replaced with younger and hopefully cheaper options. We have Gabe Davis, one of the steals of that draft. Now we need more just like that, and probably a vet like John Brown, Beasley or Sanders. I think a better way to say it is we HAVE our #2 WR already. And they need more. .

I don’t think they give up on Epenesa this soon. Time will tell.

Imagine Jerry wondering if he would “bother” playing for “only” $3 million a year. Don’t get me wrong, I do NOT begrudge any of them the money, it’s just such a different world and mindset. Good for them, especially the ones that are truly good people.

I’m pretty sure we don’t have to be single to be…….influenced.

Banged Up Bills analyzes Jameson Williams injury and recovery

AND, the McGahee injury was much more severe. I seem to recall that 20 years before THAT they might have considered amputation! My son tore his ACL and MCL about 10 years ago and had surgery on June 24 (same day Tiger Woods had his ACL surgery). He played in a Thanksgiving high school basketball tournament about 5 months later. Not 100% certainly, but he was out there. What they can do now is AMAZING! The big problem with McGahee was not the knee or the player, it was the person. -
You know what they say: You can’t drink all day if you don’t start in the morning!

How much can you drink in 13 seconds?

See the bold at the end. The winner of that game did not win, or even MAKE, the Super Bowl. You are taking too much for granted. THIS is why they play the games, and that was a GREAT one…..with a horrible ending. He owned the loss, he said it was on him. The team has to move on. I’d kindly suggest you do the same. -
Long story, but I almost had my left big toe amputated from the knuckle up in high school before freshman year. That is your main balance/push off toe. The Braves surgeon managed to save it, but it took a couple years. I was active in sports in high school and college, then became a VERY avid tennis player as an adult. I’m not “outraged” and it’s a clever title, but I can’t make fun of it as it hits close to home. I still have issues with that toe. That is some serious chit. Think about it, your big toe does all the work! On a side note, my wife’s Lebanese family is lactose intolerant, and there is nothing funny about that either. Especially in a car on the ride home!

I love signings like Poyer and Hyde. I’m not going to drool over Ray Lewis. Find value players at a reasonable price who fit the scheme.

Does the strategy change when a team is this close to the SB?
Augie replied to Mikie2times's topic in The Stadium Wall
They moved. I think this is a thinly veiled PSL thread. Maybe. ….or something completely different. A plea for another TE? I really don’t know…… 🤷♂️ I say we keep our current course. Make smart moves, draft well, don’t lunge for big splashy names fans recognize. . -
This just doesn’t have the same sizzle as the Mario Williams thread. Who misses the good old days of hoping for a Big Name, on a meh team? We got a few pages out of that one! 😋

I know a lot of people are (deservedly) upset with McD over this. Hell, I think McD is on that list! But I still admire him for how he handled it afterward. He was vague according to some, but he clearly said it all falls on him as the HC. He didn’t point fingers, or name names. Nothing good would have come of that. Instead, Farwell wasn’t “fired” but quietly found himself a position in the (college) football Mecca of Jax. There were reports of players being upset, but I think they were mostly attempts to get clicks. YES, everybody was upset, but we lived, we learned, he owned it and we need to move on. I don’t think McD could have played it much better. It was going to be extremely difficult, but he did what he could. Some things sting longer than others…… The words “wide right” come to mind. . -
