  1. I remember that episode. When we flew in we went straight from the airport to Schwabl’s for the memories, BoW and German potato salad. Awesome, but then we drove past Charlie’s the Butcher a few times (hard not to going to/from the airport) and I wanted to stop there too! And Ted’s, and Mighty, and….You can’t do it all! BTW - I make my kimmelweck using the instructions on Charlie the Butcher’s website. They used to suggest a cornstarch slurry I believe to adhere the salt and caraway seeds, but now they use an egg wash. Why do I recall that? 🤷‍♂️
  2. Happy Birthday!
  3. I recall rumors that Dan Marino got access to IPO’s and other benefits when Wayne Huizenga owned the Dolphins. That type of financial perk would not surprise me at all, especially back then.
  4. That looks like Tottenham to me. It’s coming together….but is it fast enough? Time will tell.
  5. If you are going to search for him, may I suggest you start on the ocean floor? …or a bar, but definitely one of the two.
  6. You seem angry. Are you upset for the people who work there, or the people who shop there?
  7. Toward the end of our trip last week the wife sat down in a restaurant, picked up a menu and said “I need something green to eat.” So true! And we never did pizza, Ted’s or Mighty Taco. Seeing fresh vegetables at the Farmers Market was about as close as we got to “healthy eating.”
  8. Wait! Does that happen to other teams too? I guess we are not the only ones who whiff near the top.
  9. As another Atlanta resident, I can say that at times it’s easier to get to Toronto from Buffalo than across Atlanta. They say you can see Toronto from Niagara on the Lake on a clear day, but we were not that lucky. I lived in the sticks mostly and left WNY when I was 17 for college, so I never really knew downtown. In major cities I always liked the idea of the quick “get acclimated” bus trip around town, hop on/off or otherwise, but never did it. We had a couple hours to kill last Friday so we took a tour of the Naval Park and did a narrated double decker bus tour around downtown. If it sounds hokey, it’s because it is. But it’s also amusing and informative. It’s only $30 and two hours, but we were glad we did it. https://buffalodoubledeckerbus.com/best-of-buffalo-tour We also did Watkins Glen in the Finger Lakes last week, and it was great. The gorge walk alone was worth the ride there for me. But that may be a greater commitment of time than the OP can afford. . .
  10. So, the first mistress is upset about the second mistress. Where did the wife stand on all of this? Just more old news? 🤷‍♂️
  11. If you do get to the Falls, The Maid of the Mist is a very memorable experience. If you are on the Canadian side, you are just 20-30 minutes south of Niagara on the Lake which we visited last week for the first time. It’s a charming little town where the Niagara River meets Lake Ontario. That was a nice and easy side trip for us.
  12. Passer rating does not tell you who is clutch (a real MVP), and who is more likely to choke in the big moment.
  13. My preference is the multi focal lens so I can go without any glasses for reading. What scares me is I tried multi focal contacts and hated them. They just never got comfortable for me from a vision standpoint. It was simple enough to say the trial box isn’t good for me. What if I have surgery and have the same level of dissatisfaction? They’re not “wrong”, but they don’t do well for “me”. Each brain seems to process this stuff a bit differently. I have countless questions and I’m interested in your situation and results. Did you ever try multi focal contacts? How was that for you? EDIT: My current solution with my contacts is to give up something on distance so I can read without cheaters. I’ve had better distance before, but I’ve also used to have cheaters hiding everywhere I went. .
  14. I think he’s due about $36 Mil next year with none of it guaranteed, so it seems a safe bet that he won’t be collecting that.
  15. I had to look it up. He had 16 catches for 195 yards, and that is not nothin’.
  16. He would be wise to keep the return policy limited to about 48 hours.
  17. Did she and Bill ever get married? Strangely, I heard that driving home about 5 minutes ago, then see this. 🤷‍♂️
  18. This is the kind of stuff that has led me to look into the ignore feature. Ed Oliver played GREAT. We have some fans that are so miserable that it seeps into my consciousness and I’m not going to let that affect my enjoyment of the Bills. It’s not personal towards you specifically, but there is a group of folks here who spread negativity in a way that I want no part of. NO, that does not mean I’m only looking for the Pollyanna positives. People who are too extreme one way or the other is not something I want to spend a lot of time with, in sports or anything else. A more balanced approach is healthier for me. To each their own.
  19. I don’t think too many people doubt that he can still play. But it is fair to doubt how long he can do it. Shouldn’t we be due to beat the odds in a good way?
  20. Pinky oath, what else? I actually had to update my Global Entry stuff at the airport today. That digital ID is “relatively” new, and getting very good and much more widely available. I hate to say more, lest I trigger someone. I have no idea what my grandkids will see. (That’s what old people say, right?)
  21. I’m watching the replay now and realizing just how much havoc he was personally causing out there. If he can be our Chris Jones difference maker like this I’m excited to see the rest of the season. The replay is also making me realize how many of those guys are fairly young. Let’s hope they can work the kinks out, because they gave up 40 in a jiffy!
  22. There’s a reason I’ll wear team gear, but not jerseys.
  23. I just checked, it’s not me.
  24. True, especially if you’ve witnessed those characters. I apologize for any bad dreams I may have caused, but the cost of therapy is on you.
  25. Oh, come on now and be serious. Playing in a Super Bowl and being the head coach is like being a baggage handler at the airport who does such a good job they make him the pilot. I’ve been to a SB. I’d like to apply! I have experience! I’d be embarrassed to say that’s how I’d choose my HC. I’ll be in the lot soon, and my experience is that people expose themselves more on the internet than they do in person. Kinda looking forward to that.
