  1. When I first saw this I thought is was going to be a stat Cowherd showed today. The Bill’s five highest paid players are: QB, Edge, WR, CB and LT. ALL of the key positions. The Patriots five highest paid players are a LB (Judon - a good player), then a couple TE’s and a couple so-so WR’s. Which team do you think has better managed their salary cap in today’s game? Hats off to Beane & company!
  2. Google Drew Holcomb and “Family”, then see them if they come close. It’s a great show. You’re welcome. (And I’m not usually a cocky guy.)
  3. So true! I appreciate my own kind! The best year EVER in music was 1969. Hands down. Surrounding years were also good. I was 10 at the time, but it’s still the best year, and I know it. After that came disco, then rap. 🤮 I’ve seen the Stones three times. The first was about 1975 when I was about 16. Lifetime highlight at then Rich Stadium. Stepping thru the looking glass stuff for this young kid. Bed sheets hanging from the rafters announcing the “goods” they had for sale. It was a wild time, and I’ll never forget it. I’d rather go to Top Golf than see them again. We saw Drew Holcomb because my wife knew/worked with his dad. GREAT show. Turns out he sold a song for a car commercial and made a fortune! Parents met us for dinner, had rare reserved seats in front row of balcony (as opposed to standing on the floor) and we went backstage. Very good show if you get the chance. There is some decent current stuff, but I’m not going to rave about having seen Sheryl Crow at the Botanical Center. It was “nice” to be out on the lawn. The “newer” stuff I’ve heard does not excite me. I hear some stuff I like, but nothing I love. Van Morrison is stuff we LOVE! As I’ve mentioned before, we had a number of friends who are in the R&R HOF. We’d have dinner parties at each other’s house’s. Each house had it’s own musical theme. We were apparently a Van Morrison theme, and they universally agreed “that man has SOUL!”
  4. Has the statute of limitations expired? I might be able to uncover that video. Hypothetically.
  5. He can keep his wallet, and his car. You win his HOUSE! I’m guessing a Bob and a Jimmy something.
  6. Honestly, I wouldn’t put more than pocket change (as a percentage of net worth) into crypto. It’s not worth it to even get more educated for what I’d put into it. As you get older you need to be sure you keep what you’ve got, not swing for the fences. The key, for the younger people out there, is to start early, be aggressive about saving and wise about investing. .
  7. I think there is a separate “Half Mile, Super Creepy” club. If he likes super kinky, maybe prison will appeal to him?
  8. We had a townhouse between Buckhead and Midtown in Atlanta that we rented (for half the market rent, I may add) to our son and DIL. They wanted out and bought a house in the burbs because they didn’t like the increase in hearing gun shots and drag racing. Buckhead had an initiative to secede from the Atlanta metro area to beef up the fight against crime. It is very real! (They are also starting a family, so need the “family home” with a yard, etc, but either way they were getting OUT.) Atlanta is bad, but NYC is something entirely different. There is only ONE NYC and I don’t know how they compare, but I wanted to mention NYC again because I want to stay focused on the topic. NYC.
  9. We did the Eagles Hotel California show recently, then saw Eric Clapton, which was great. We have Steely Dan coming up at the Chastain Park Amphitheater in ATL - great venue! Then we have Van Morrison which may be the act I would most want to see. We might have Rod Stewart and some others (maybe Chicago?) coming up, but things got moved around or canceled so much with Covid I’m not really sure. Side note: We saw Steely Dan at the same amphitheater a few years ago on a warm summer night. We took our son, then in his early 20’s. We asked him what he thought and he said “it’s like elevator music without air conditioning.” Kids! What is this world coming to???
  10. There is something about the NYC energy and Christmas that, when combined, is absolutely magical. I highly recommend it. In fact, I hope to join the wife there this December. Even just a few days is plenty to get in the spirit.
  11. …..and you got this scenario where, exactly? Did it come to you in a dream? Where you at a secretive high level business meeting to which the rest of us where not invited? Or, was it on the internet somewhere? Because if it was, it must be true! As for a ‘69 Chevelle, that would be very cool. My first car was a Chevette, which was MUCH less cool.
  12. A turned ankle in the last minute may have decided this. Ugh…. At least it isn’t Duke winning it all.
  13. I’m having a hard time reconciling the bold. I’m glad you’re not my parent! He’s very near the top of the league, and he gets some bonus points in my mind for culture stuff that goes beyond game days. .
  14. Do you think they might throw in a 5th rounder to sweeten the pot? 🤷‍♂️
  15. I would stroke the table gently if Beane thinks it’s the thing to do depending upon their board and how the draft falls. We need to start taking it easy on tables. I still expect a FA CB to be signed before the draft, because that’s how they roll.
  16. Not being a Rochester guy, I don’t know about Zeb’s/Zab’s. I do remember that in addition to Ted’s there was a Pat’s we would hit from time to time. Apparently seasonal so just vague memories. I do not remember Louie’s Foot Long Hot Dogs, but that may have been the birthplace of the foot long. There was a Ted’s knock off here in Atlanta complete with loganberry and “Crystal Beach” fries until a few years ago. Sad day when they closed. 😪 https://buffalonews.com/news/food-legend-enjoys-being-link-to-past/article_d38c520c-5bf1-53d0-9afd-7843746d7895.html
  17. I think the NBA is more of a weed league, so fewer DUI’s and more Uber Eats.
  18. I believe he is here to serve your long offseason needs. You would send flowers, if you were a true gentleman.
  19. Because, I think….his act only makes it rain at strip clubs? Important rule in big money stakes: BE NOT CRAZY!
  20. The FALCONS first rounder? That could bring a king’s ransom! They are not that stupid. I think, but never hurts to ask someone “are you that stupid?” OK, that might actually get you hurt, I admit.
  21. I’m not propping them up. Who said that? It is what it is. I worry about every game because every game presents the same possibility. It’s reality. Can I be cautiously optimistic? Of course, but I still recognize the reality.
  22. I’m just trying to point out a fair and balanced picture of the arrangement. Some people resent rich folks. I don’t dislike people for being rich. In fact, I’d LOVE to actually BE rich one day! I may not like you for your actions, but that goes for rich OR poor. I’m saying they have taken FAR more financial risk than the deal appears when sketched out on paper in today’s dollars. I’m trying to be fair to them about their potential exposure. .
  23. You saw the Jags game last year, right? THAT is why! It’s the NFL. Respect every opponent, every week. Period.
