Well, clearly your thread title was a way to disguise your true premise hoping Hall would be widely accepted as a wise first round pick at #25. Apparently few people believe that is true. At least you have come clean, finally. I’m pretty sure about this….I don’t think Hall’s senior year was played in the NFL behind the Bills generally inept run blocking OL. Unless a guy is other-worldly, I don’t see running back as being first round worthy in today’s passing oriented NFL. You take premium positions in the first round.

I was not thrilled when we DID draft him. I saw him one hop a bubble screen or two in college. Apparently there was more to him than that. Nobody wants to know what I think…….. 🤷‍♂️

The good news is, we are building a team for the long term. The Colts, for example, are dangerous but the parts they added are a couple of older guys. I like the way we draft and build a roster. Our top paid players are QB, Edge, CB, WR and LT. The key positions. That is NOT an accident. That is how it should be done. We didn’t get painted into a corner by overpaying a safety or LB. The Pats* top paid are a LB, 2 TE’s and a couple so-so WR’s. I trust our FO. Let the AFCW beat up on each other and bring the playoffs to Orchard Park! .

That probably would have been my preference. However, we got my TOP priority, and the Bills will remain in WNY. I can live with anything that might look like. I feel blessed by this team and their presence in their proper home.

The AFCE scares me like any game scares me. They can ALL beat you, see the Jags game last year. BUT, what REALLY scares me is the AFC as a whole. This just in from the Department of Redundency Department: ANY position would be immediately improved with a player chosen at #25. The only real question actually posed here is what is our weakest position. Especially considering Trey’s injury, I think it has to be CB. Fortunately, it’s also a “key position”, one that you might want to use the 5th year option on. If IOL or Punter were the weakest position, it would be a waste. Taking a CB high is not a waste for this team. I still would not be shocked if a vet is added, and I would be shocked if we don’t take at least one in the first 3 rounds. .

I don’t know about the character issues, but the fact that he is on the market already speaks to why the Giants former FO is GONE!

Cooper was very talented but had spinal stenosis, I believe it was. Could have been severely injured or paralyzed if things went wrong. I’m glad he didn’t take that risk and played it safe, apparently living a great life.

So…..my lovely bride who you met at the opener just said “so, if true, what you’re saying is Thanksgiving won’t happen before 4:00 PM.” Yep, that’s pretty much it! Heavy on hors’devours! I just hope I’m in a good mood when we sit down to eat!

I am generally a proponent of Bills games on Sundays at 1:00 PM. I like the routine. I know some people love the excitement of prime time and I get that, but I like my routines. HOWEVER, somehow we became the home to Thanksgiving a couple decades ago. Family and friends, a real houseful! Usually a couple dozen or so. As much as I like my routines, I absolutely LOVE a house full of family and friends while I’m beginning with mimosas, moving on from there and celebrating a Bills victory! It makes for a VERY special holiday!
