Obviously we don’t know these people, and it’s always horribly sad, but to see he just bought his mother a house says a lot about this young man. Such a kind, generous and family oriented act is a fine legacy. RIP

Where Ralph Wilson's money from the sale of the Bills is going.

Novel concept! Pun intended. I read almost every day at lunch. I go to the book table at Costco and look for stuff I like, then give them to my mom’s retirement place for their library. My shelves have plenty, let others enjoy them. ESPN is hot garbage. Their shows all have the same formula. A bunch of guys all yelling at the same time. No thanks! Hiring The Booger McFarland to staunchly defend the crack back block call on Cody Ford (which later received an apology letter from the NFL) is indefensible. He’s an insufferable clown, and I’ll avoid the network just on him alone. Mike & Mike was the last decent thing they had. I haven’t looked in a while, but if you want a real laugh check out their college basketball recruiting. It’s a dumpster fire of indifference and incompetence. They should shut that down completely, because it’s embarrassingly weak and out of date. Less (as in ZERO) would be more, there. .

For how many? Is that an order of 10 wings? Places around here often start with an order of 5 or 6 wings. I’ve seen some places with temporary signs announcing current wing prices because they didn’t want to replace all their menus. The market was changing that fast. My son used to order his wings naked with the sauce on the side. He knew it embarrassed me, but he said the wings were crispier that way. I have to admit there was some truth to that, but I couldn’t let him know that.

You are looking merely at stats. I am considering talent, trajectory and chemistry. Knox is on the rise, and the ceiling is pretty high. Hopefully the stats keep him affordable, because a good TE is an important ingredient in our offense going forward.
-
I respectfully disagree. It took years to develop him into one on the best TE’s in the league. TE’s are an important part of a quality NFL offense these days. I’d pay him what the market expects for the talent that he is and keep weapons for Josh at every skill position. Surround Josh with talent and let him do his thing. I know the cap is an issue………..but there are ways. Full disclosure, I was higher on Knox than most early, even with his dropsies. Now that he looks like a top TE, I’d just hate to see him wind up somewhere else. There is a way to do something reasonable. Even before the breakout year, there were flashes that showed what he could be. The drops held him back in our eyes, but the flashes were impressive! If we can extend him before the season to spread out the cost, I’m good. I trust Knox, and I trust Beane. . .

Jack and Skittles would become a thing all over WNY! Supply chain tables issues, I fear……. 🤷♂️

Good point. I remember Ahmad Rashad winning the Monday Night home game. That was more exhilarating than being at the Bills losing to the (then) Redskins in single digit temps outside. Funny how the mind works…..

I bet you’re a very successful ladies man!

My favorite part of that is the laughing. They are competing at the highest level, but they are also having fun. Not every team has that same culture, and I love it! Get well Tre!

I’m terrified! I don’t think clicking on that first would be a prudent move! I mean, it’s @Gugny after all! .

Preparing for Tre White to never be the same post-injury
Augie replied to Einstein's topic in The Stadium Wall
The title implies that it is inevitable that Tre will be physically lesser in the end. It’s a slight possibility that he drops off a bit this year and moving forward. It’s FAR from a certainty. We know initially it will be a slow start, but we have to wait to see how quickly he gets back to form. I agree, nobody will work harder than Tre to come back and be as good, or better, than ever. It’s OK to prepare for the possibility that Tre is never 100% physically, but I doubt I can tell the difference between that and 98% from here on my couch. It’s also possible that as he refines his craft, the more veteran Tre will be better overall at 98% health but with a few more tricks in his bag. Time will tell, no need to panic now. . -
Heard an interview with him in the last 6 months or so. I think it was on Dan Patrick. It was one of those interviews that, when it was over, the whole room was asking “what just happened here?” To call it “off” would have been putting it mildly. Great actor, sad loss. Prayers to his loved ones. RIP

Carpooling with @HOUSE these days? EDIT: I’d need to add more TV’s. How is a guy supposed to enjoy a house with such a scarcity of TV’s?
-
The first and most obvious question is how you know she’s a slut. You have a bit of a reputation yourself! 😋 I find the smallest orders to be 5-6 wings where I go, and I’m actually good with that. I just can’t pound wings the way I used to, and with a small order I often have one or two left over. I’m a lightweight in so many ways. 🤷♂️
-
Well, if you do come, I advise you to get there early.
-
The “yet” is the key word here. Things need to run their course and all appropriate investigating needs to be completed. I can’t be outraged until we see how this plays out. In my opinion, it would be a mistake to hand out any punishment at this point. When all the facts come out, any penalty enforced now could be far too light or heavy. Get it right, even if it takes some time. I know, it’s hard to NOT want to act, but I like the cautious, patient approach. In the meantime, Watson and the Browns can sweat it out and have some sleepless nights. Watson because, at the very least, that’s some creepy stuff. The Browns because, well, that guaranteed contract is Brownsie stupid and a horrible precedent. I hope they get burned just as a cautionary tale for others who consider taking that path.

Preparing for Tre White to never be the same post-injury
Augie replied to Einstein's topic in The Stadium Wall
If you are in the top 10% of league players, it’s for a few reasons. God blessed you with incredible physical traits and talent, but you you also had to work really hard at it. You also need to be lucky enough to land in a place where they recognize what you are capable of and coach you up to make you your best. A guy in the bottom 30% of league players has a lot less invested, especially if a vet, and that will sway the numbers. I’m confident Tre will be our old Tre in time, chasing and reading opposing teams play sheets across the field in the wind! 😂 -
Preparing for Tre White to never be the same post-injury

The studies also point out that 28.5% of ACL cases are not in the league 3 years later. That’s some garbage information, there. NFL players only get about 3.5 years in the league on average, I believe. Some guys probably get their careers extended by ACL surgery and the year off to recover. Do we have the stat on that? I think I’m done here. It’s not a crusade on my part, I’m just not really concerned about the IF as much as the WHEN. I bet he’s eventually back to at least 98% physically, but then continues to get better as he improves as a pro. -
Preparing for Tre White to never be the same post-injury
Augie replied to Einstein's topic in The Stadium Wall
That’s not the case at all. Period. I just find more realistic concerns to worry about. It is my OPINION that Tre will be back and eventually be his old self. I’m going with the odds, and I can find more realistic concerns to worry about. You just don’t like that I’m not buying your premise. I’m worried about our run defense and OLine far more than Tre eventually being very productive. I’m not sold on Edmunds. I’m not all rainbows and unicorns, but I see Tre as a very minor concern that you are trying to oversell because you wanted to start a thread. -
Preparing for Tre White to never be the same post-injury
Augie replied to Einstein's topic in The Stadium Wall
Totally agreed on the bold, it’s not the NFL. But he was playing in FIVE months, and could have gone on to play college football or soccer but decided to focus on his future. He wasn’t the fat kid playing keeper, he was POY. He played against current NFL players post-surgery, and did quite well. I’m concerned about WHEN he comes back, and how long UNTIL he gets back to at least 95% of his old self, but I have no real concern over the IF. -

I read enough, in my opinion. How do we know how injuries from 2022 are going to turn out? Useless data. They are much better at the surgery and PT than just 5 years ago in 2017. It’s a legit concern that he might not be ready early, but it took an Eyore to start a thread implying he might be out of the league or never be “himself”. He will be back, it’s just a matter of when. . -
I don’t see how an ending to this type of recurring anguish can be discussed without (deservedly) heading into PPP territory, so I’ll just I’ll just pray for more people facing senseless losses.
