A few rookies I’m excited to see but………mostly I just want to get out 100% healthy.

Caveat emptor, especially when it’s already a VERY public issue. Only ONE team was stupid enough to make that trade and give him that contract. Only ONE owner is THAT much of an idiot. I just texted condolences to my Browns fan buddy. I think he still has his head in the sand, but I’m not sure if he was aware of lady #24 and the story. I think sports talk shows are probably the ONLY ones who don’t just want this to be over. Even Watson’s attorney, the guy collecting fees, should want this to be over because, while he’s making a name for himself……..it’s certainly not putting him in a positive light.

I’ve never been bungee jumping, but have checked off zip-lining and skydiving. Did they drop the wifey into the tree line, then just drag her thru there? Yeah, there must be a better plan. Skydiving is tricky and we had to go three separate weekends and wait hours for the weather to comply. It would get windy, then cloudy, then wait behind others….then it would get late. I’m glad we stuck to it and crossed that off the list. Good luck on the hot air balloon! I look forward to hearing about your adventure.

While we are on the obvious, might I suggest cutting back on food and drink and hitting the can before climbing on a hot air balloon? I would really love to try that, but it would be a real concern for me! 😱

I’m hoping Browns owner Jimmy Haslam is surfing the interwebby today and stumbles upon this site. I’d love to hear from HIM right about now! I believe he was advised to join AAA. ……….far too late.

@Royale with Cheese told me all I need to know. They will get no clicks from me!

OK, I keep hearing and reading pretty much the same stuff. Surprising even myself, I’ll try to get there with the wife next weekend.

I know, but a guy can dream, right? I guess I have to go before they get a new one…..and before they start messing up downtown to build it. Game day just had a very cool vibe to it early am as we were heading to Vail. I wanted to stop! Sometimes TOO MUCH money is a bad thing. It’s FOOTBALL!

Not even CLOSE to the dumbest thing I’ve ever done, but I remember my shock one late nite watching Hugh Laurie of @HOUSE on a talk show and realizing he had a British accent!

I guess they don’t need a $20 limit on Christmas gifts. I’ve been in Denver on a game day (not the Bills) but had other plans and did not attend the game. Just seeing the scene with all the people migrating to the stadium made me want to see a game there one day. I honestly don’t know the reputation/quality of the stadium, but a So-Fi style super stadium was mentioned. I honestly hope they don’t get something like that. I want to see a game in Denver in my lifetime, and I want it to feel like a football stadium.

Well, you’ll just have to keep finding new ways to prove it! This is actually quite challenging, with so many options to consider. I’ll need some time to consider, but I seriously doubt my top entries will be published here. 🤷♂️ When my son was in high school some jerk put sugar in the gas tank of his (new) first car. The car died as he was getting on the highway and things could have gotten seriously ugly. Insurance covered replacing everything, and we still traded it in before too long. That’s a big deal! Sorry for your oops and hope for no lasting repercussions. I totally understand how easily that could happen. .

Bills drawing plenty of betting action to win super bowl
Augie replied to Steel City Mafia's topic in The Stadium Wall
Let me just add that I don’t see a game on the schedule that we should be favored in. I could see us going winless this year. This jinx stuff has to stop! …..or at least be balanced out! -
Is Joe Brady on the staff in case Ken Dorsey flubs it?
Augie replied to Utah John's topic in The Stadium Wall
Very qualified people will line up to take positions with the Bills, because Josh and the surrounding talent offers them the best path to climb up the ladder and get higher level jobs in the near future. “Too much” coaching talent does not concern me. I find it encouraging because the people at the top are qualified to manage the situation. . -

Umm, excuse me, but……..did you bring enough for everyone? It’s their job to think of every possible scenario and be ready with plans and backup plans and backup plans for the backup plans. That’s how you build a winning organization. The best organizations (that’s us! ) will see the coaching staff and front office (and practice squad for that matter) poached more than the lousy teams. Beane and McD will be ready for the challenges ahead. If you are afraid to have smart people around you, you’ve already failed. . -

I wish we could put part of his salary into the “coaching pot”! -
Jessica Pegula's progress in Wimbledon 2022
Augie replied to Fan in Chicago's topic in The Stadium Wall
You are confusing Country Club tennis with professional tennis. Professional tennis is a factory, and some of them have enough natural talent that they don’t need to pay. You are “on scholarship” at the factories to draw other players. I think the lady I know is originally from Ukraine. They fought like hell to get out ahead of the person they were competing against. Year after year. Jessica had to leave the palace to go put in the same work, but harder. That is special and I celebrate it! I am awed just by the pure dedication and self motivation it takes to climb that mountain. -

You underestimate tennis and the natural talent and the dedication it requires to become a top 10-15 tennis player in the world. Sure, the money helps, but I know a lady who was dirt poor and worked and struggled for years to get a college tennis scholarship in the US. She said that’s what drove them all, to get out of Eastern Europe. They were dirt poor, and fighting like dogs for a ticket out. If anything, coming from wealth could be seen as a detriment. She didn’t NEED tennis to make her life. In order to be top 15 in the world, you have to be talented, dedicated and mentally strong enough to beat people like that. People who had dedicated their entire lives, but never reached nearly as far as Jessica. This lady barely won on the satellite tour. It was short lived. Look up the top 50 women. A LOT of those names are hard to pronounce. There are another billion not on the list but with the same dream. It was a VERY moving story. BTW - we used to live near Bolliterri/IMG tennis camp. There are camps like that all over the country. Have you ever been to one of those? A sea of courts in every direction with kids trying to outwork and beat each other. I’d recommend that over seeing a Major in a 20,000 seat stadium. It’s frickin’ INCREDIBLE! And most of the kids are still in high school. For Jessica to be near the peak of that pinnacle puts me in AWE. Sorry, mini-rant over for now….. -
Leave it to the Browns to create a situation where everybody loses, except the dirt bag who got the guaranteed contract. I mean Baker loses, the fans lose, the team loses in games (unstable QB situation) and cap space………and the NFL as a whole loses with the precedent of that guaranteed contract. I don’t expect the other 31 owners to be very happy with Haslam. Browns, please keep your losing ways to yourself.

So, are you an algorithm now? I like to start with an “S” in the last position. That is often the correct spot for it because it covers anything that is plural and a lot of verbs.

They are also criminally overly-talked-about. Please make it stop! -
