See? Wings are diet food! And…… they come with celery! This should be the next weight loss craze! Then you bring out Ranch dip, and purge.

That reminds me….I played in a 6 foot and under basketball league in college. They measured you and everything. Decades later I was at the doctor and they measured me as over 6 feet….and I thought back to that day I had such poor posture for a brief period. EDIT: I never had 30, or even anything close to 25. My job, like the others, was to get the rebound (I was the “big guy”!), and get the ball to Brent. My roommate was a freak who was good at everything. QB in high school, all-state in baseball, golf team in college, played with the guys on the college hoops team by invitation, etc. He took up tennis after college, and he’s a teaching pro now in retirement. One of those guys. We all knew our roll. .

I almost thought he was going to trade a Coke for a jersey in the tunnel, there! Nice story @Royale with Cheese, I don’t remember that.

I get the smallest order which is usually 5 or 6 wings. I usually have one or two leftover. I went to lunch with a buddy at a pizza place. I usually just get a slice and I’m good. He wanted to try the wings, so I suggested the smallest order, I’d be good with one or two, max. Fast forward: we ordered 20, I had two and he ate the rest….plus his pizza. I couldn’t have done that on a bet!

I’m sure your shuttles will be first class! 😋

Please tell us, what sports have you played in your life, and at what level? We should start there. Goofing around in a high school scrimmage is no big deal, but sent a little message. Back off, he’s a good young kid. That was gentle, for the average person. .

RIP. Far too young.

I can’t believe the camo pants and Hawaiian shirt thing never took off. It’s mystifying! Did you wear that outfit addressing the student body as Class Valedictorian?

Forget parking! Follow the Green Bay/Lambeau route and put signs in the yard that say “Park And Pee - $30.” The closer you get to the stadium the more the price goes up. Park in the yard and driveway, and either use the bathroom inside the house or they set up porta-potties. If @Draconator is that close to Hammer’s, he could offer a Premium Potty Package and it would pay for him to go to games for the rest of his life.

The complete OPPOSITE of the white hot love light of last year works for me. Give them some us against the world fire down below.

I suspect they are getting tired of your constant adoration!

I have a friend who was going thru some stuff and seeing a therapist. After a while he said something like “look, this is great, but it’s NOT my parents! Can we move on?” He said that she later “fired” him. 😂

I had never heard of it until opening this, so I’m guess that’s a bonus for me!

Do you think he really needs help getting dressed? Or did he just want to share with everyone in a dedicated thread that he’s been asked to speak at an event in Vegas? He admits to already having a standard set of suits, so it sounds like he’s got the necessary clothes unless he’s going more for a Liberace or Elton look for, you know….Vegas? It makes me wonder what the topic is. I’m guessing he’s not conducting a fashion seminar! It could be a LAMP symposium?

I didn’t say that either. You said we as parents couldn’t see what was happening. Wrong again. For the record, I had no problem with him shutting down a bully who was picking on a freshman in high school. Zero. It’s not like he beat him up or something significant. He protected a younger kid about his brother’s age. He didn’t start it. What’s wrong with standing up for someone who can’t stand up for themselves? But we addressed some underlying issues, which are none of your business.

What makes you think we didn’t see it? Once again speaking out with more agenda than knowledge. We knew exactly what we were seeing, and we took action. .

To each their own. We were in Paris and Italy a month ago and the wife had a long list of things to see. I had had enough of museums and cathedrals, but she was determined to see the statue of David. We had seen a replica somewhere (the Louvre?) and since I couldn’t tell the difference, I figured I had that covered. While she saw museums and cathedrals in Florence, I saw FLORENCE! We both had a blast! I’ll be talking my more casual approach to being a tourist, avoiding long lines wherever possible. One of the things I most enjoyed was a dinner cruise on the Seine. Since I’ll be traveling alone, that might not be ideal, but is there something more like a booze cruise on the Thames you might recommend? I like seeing cities from the water for a different perspective.

The beef on weck was particularly disappointing at the Anchor Bar by the KSU campus. And yeah, the wings were just…..wings. Duff’s in Newnan had a great beef on weck, and better wings.

Of that, we are quite confident.

You probably grew up with Garanimals! Alright, you are a mere child. 😋 Remember these? https://www.garanimals.com

I’m very eager to hear the suggestions that will follow.

I’ve put this elsewhere, but it fits here. A neighbor of ours is an architect and went to Buffalo on a “architectural vacation” while his wife was at the beach. He sent me zero pictures of architecture, but the wings and beer came in first. I laughed and said he needs to try the pizza and seconds later I get a great shot of pizza and beer! That’s an interesting perspective I can respect.

Are you saying that the bathroom concierge guy with the warm towels, breath wash and the little peppermint candies is getting cut? I’m not sure if I can accept that!
-
Thanks, I know I’ve seen people clip the hurdle, but never thought about how extreme it could get. That makes sense, especially in events like this one where team points are involved. That keeps it feeling more “legit”.

I wasn’t sure if she was going to step over them or plow them down! Either way, she was there for the team! Probably not what you’d expect, but……..in high school there was a kid on my son’s team who was just a jerk. I don’t know how else to describe it. He was a selfish gunner boy constantly jacking up shots aimlessly from all over. He also used to pick on a rare freshman to make varsity. The Frosh was a big kid and surprisingly skilled, and he was ALWAYS smiling. My son stuck up for the freshman. Got in the kids face and SHUT IT DOWN. In a multi-school scrimmage event he went so far as to block his jerk teammates shot from behind when he tried to jack one up. Think about it…..a shot gets blocked by a TEAMMATE! The kicker? We see the then freshman’s parents decades later and all they can talk about is how kind our son was to them. I don’t have the heart to tell them he really just wanted to beat the crap out of the other kid (but knew where to draw the line)! .
