  1. I can “handle” it just fine. In fact, I’m OK with this thread about nothing other than the novel concept that Josh Allen is a good QB. Not exactly ground breaking stuff, but I can elect NOT to click when I want. So I got that going for me.
  2. This is helpful, I think. I mean, I had heard of this Allen guy, but I didn’t realize he could single-handedly take on the world! That is some Super Hero stuff there! I don’t have the stat at my fingertips, but the scarcity of late comebacks by Rodgers is rather shocking. He seems so focused on not turning the ball over (he had 37 TD and only 4 INT’s last year, 48/5 the year before) that it seems to lead him to be afraid to take shots to win games. I’m not sure if that’s the reason, but I would expect more come from behind victories from a guy like that. Josh is indeed very special. I NEVER count him out! EDIT: I looked it up. Rodgers is tied for 9th on the all-time 4Q comeback list….behind the greatness of QB’s named Dalton, Tanneyhill, Derrick Carr and Matt Ryan. Rodgers is great…..in his own way. Josh has averaged 2 4Q comebacks per year. If he had done this as long as Rodgers has been in the league, Josh would be ahead by a comfortable 32-18 margin. That says something about each of these guys. Having a broader vocabulary than some others should not have you relegated to some lower level of discussion than you are capable of. Sometimes another word just works better. .
  3. I suspect that yes, you were indeed worse than Meg Ryan. I mean…… 🤷‍♂️
  4. I never thought about it, but this must be how the traditional Burning of the Couches ceremony began! So obvious….. 🤷‍♂️ .
  5. That was a misunderstanding. He left it in his car.
  6. Had not thought of that. I was going to guess out with OJ searching for the real killer on a back nine somewhere, or hanging out with Waldo.
  7. First job out of college was in banking and had a lot of retired military types as clients. If it says 5:00pm-7:00pm, you arrive exactly at 5PM, and if you were there at 7:05pm it was VERY bad form. (And you always over-dress! They will all have on a coat and tie.) More recently, for a work dinner at the owners house I arrived 10 minutes after the “start time”, thinking it might be too soon. I was the second to last one to arrive out of 40-50 people. That’s not my style at all, so you need to be aware of the crowd. People will show up at our house an hour late, and that’s just fine. Just don’t be too mad if you arrive super late and we ate without you! Parties at our house end when the last guests leave, whenever that might be. So, just like with your family, different strokes for different folks. .
  8. I’m just waiting until this ends differently. “I went, and they wouldn’t let me back! Something about a petition from TBD!”
  9. I swear, I watched this this morning up until the second they started talking about Josh! How did I miss that?
  10. My first worry is injury to a top guy, but you make an excellent point that it gives us a better chance to accurately sort out the depth.
  11. Wait? Wait for what? Are we still waiting for him to get that punt off? That happened right in front of us, making me ill. Oh, the character we have built over the years…….this board is certainly full of character(s).
  12. What if by not playing, Josh was available to come up and have a hot dog and some popcorn with you and your son? Sounding better now, isn’t it? Have fun at the game! I’m sure your son will remember that for a long, long time!
  13. I would have him play some as well, but if McD felt compelled to not give him at least a few snaps, I wouldn’t freak out. But I’m almost positive that will NOT be the case.
  14. I’m sure a lot of people attended to see the shiny new stadium. I know this happened in Atlanta when they opened the new dome. People would go to random events just to see the new place. It’s a lot like Vegas: new stadium and popular with visiting teams’ fans. Because they sold seats doesn’t mean LA has a ton of rabid NFL fans. There is a reason teams kept moving away.
  15. That is a very real thing that hurts when it comes to lifting, but helps enormously when playing defensive end. I wonder how his offseason has gone in terms of growing into his body. He’s not the quick twitch/speed rusher kind of guy, but I can see him being very effective. .
  16. Was that meant in an admiring way? Not that there’s anything wrong with that…..
  17. I have to admit it makes some sense. But, beyond that: THANK YOU FOOTBALL GODS FOR GETTING US THE RIGHT JOSH!!!
  18. I offered to do it for half that. My emails must have gone into a spam folder. 🤷‍♂️
  19. Josh loves Prime Time, and Prime Time loves Josh. He’s gonna get a LOT of chances to work on his big game stats this year. I admit my internal football clock likes games at 1:00pm on Sundays, but any game we win is a great game!
  20. While in high school our boys would ref the little kids games. One 45 year old dad/coach got so riled up he got his second T and our “child” had to have him removed from the gym. I knew who the real child was there.
  21. I loved the days of my kids youth sports……….and I hated the days of my kids youth sports. Basketball was terrible, and AAU basketball was the absolute worst of them all. Refs would stop play at times until there were police inside the gym. What are we teaching our children? The parents are worse than the kids!
  22. It doesn’t matter. That’s a train coming, and he can’t outrun it. 🤷‍♂️
  23. Is it true that one of them has a restraining order against you?
  24. Some things are just so much bigger than football. This makes me proud of Josh as the leader of our team, and Bills fans everywhere.
  25. I sincerely hope this is a “for the love of the game” thing, and not a “what happened to all the money I made” thing.
