I’ve got a buddy with literally dozens of guitars hanging in his music room in the basement. He just can’t help himself. He’s got all the speakers and mixing gear as well. He has all his musician buddies come over to jam, but for some reason he is always the loudest (when his daughter is at the board). When they first bought that house his wife wasn’t in town yet and he went out to buy a toilet paper holder. He bought a grand piano for the living room instead. They are still married.

That was the Lingerie Football League. This is not that.

So often true, but that’s mostly about the front office with 20/20 hindsight on the draft, coaching decisions that may or may not affect games, etc. This uniform stuff is released as a trial balloon to see what people think. I was at a wedding about a year ago and an old friend came up to me and said he plays cards with Paul Maguire pretty much weekly in Charleston, SC. He says he’s a great guy and funny as hell with all kinds of stories to tell. As a Citidel grad he’s very fond of Charleston, but he may very well have a place in WNY as well. I remember my dad taking me to Sestak and MaGuire’s when I was a kid. Great memories.

My wife’s ethnic mother was always pushing food, usually some middle eastern stuff I wasn’t in love with. I learned it wasn’t just her, the entire family is a bunch of food pushers. We showed up at a cousin’s one time and they pulled out like FIVE cakes. Who has that much cake lying around? But I learned that was the norm.
